Another for the Honorable Mention catagory: Astro Boy: The Omega Factor. There were a lot of great games on the GBA but here's one that's not likely to be re-released and will likely to be forgotten. Love letter to the classic anime with great production and story beats. Blast to play, too.

Good list...I'd put Shinning Force 1 & 2 in one place there...the best rpg of Genesis in my opinion.

I didn't notice the transformation of my house to a banana tree. I've never really seen this game at all! Puzzle games do be addicting though, so I get how someone can sink a lot of time into this. It would have been hilarious if there was a final skit after the video was over where those strawberries actually turned into a grape. :)

This is a really solid list! I'm suprised you didn't mention how Sonic 2 could use the Lock-on technology of Sonic and Knuckles to allow you to play as Knuckles in Sonic 2. You'd be suprised how many people don't know that... lol

I loved Konami Crazy Racers. Seeing that game and eventually Mario Kart play with the pseudo-3D graphics on a GameBoy just blew my mind

Never got to play the wind waker as a teen,but I did watch my older brother play it, That and I didn’t own a Xbox when to play it.

Superstar saga and fire red was my 2 childhood games on here, but some of my personal favorites are missing like: Final Fight Donkey Kong Country 3 Spongebob Movie Game Robots Yoshi's Island Sonic Advance Super Monkey Ball Jr Doom Madagascar: Operation Penguin Monsters Inc Dogz Been a gamer my whole life, and this may be my favorite era of gaming, when the advancement of games was blowing everyone's mind, it's not like that anymore.

Golden Sun and the Metroid games were some of my favorites on the GBA. Castlevania games were great too...... hence the "metroidvania" style that I enjoy. I still think about games like Golden Sun and its sequel sometimes, and rank it as one of the best rpgs to come out, esp rpgs with pixel graphics. And even tho I love Zelda, somehow I missed out on playing Minish Cap for the gba.... might have to get a rom and check it out for fun. Nice list tho, good variety of games.

I am 46 years old and I just got a game boy advanced for my birthday and I realize that the games are not cheap but I found games on AliExpress super cheap of course they are copies but I just got legend of zelda and it works perfectly Great video by the way

That was a great top 20 greatest GBA games list cause those are some great games on the GBA, and those were the golden days of video games as they bring back so much nostalgia. 😌 Also, name of the music at the end of the video at 20:32?

You should play Megaman Battle Network series (preferably 3). It has unique gameplay, great story, etc. It's also ahead of it's time and has a lot of potential if they decided to give it a chance.

I rmbr back in the day I would go over to my friend's house and we'd smoke some weed and play Mario 64, I vividly rmbr seeing the sea serpent for the first time and how it slithers out of his cave to attack you, it literally scared the sh!t out of me lol because I've always been afraid of open water and what lies beneath the ocean, and graphics like that back then was hella realistic for that time. Oh and I was high too right so that contributed to it too im sure lol.

Good list! Gauntlet IV, Grenada and Skeleton Krew would be ones I think are missing from the list and honorable mentions. 20 is just not enough!

Gotta go with the SNES Classic for the win. Menu design and novelties on the console are back burner issues for me. Nintendo hit it out of the park with the game list, even though there are only 21. I was a Nintendo kid, but I didn't have a dog in the fight when it came to the console wars in the 1990's. If a game was fun, I'd play it, regardless of the console it belonged to. However, I was 10 when the SNES was released, and I could certainly tell the Genesis was a lesser quality option than the SNES. Plus the 3 button Genesis controller was poorly designed, making fighting games entirely unplayable. For me, it's all about the games and playability, and the SNES kills the competition. Of course there are exceptions, but overall, quality over quantity does matter for me. Sure, I would have loved to see a few more titles that were omitted from the game roster, but I can't complain. I'm not a game collector (I collect retro toys instead), so I'm perfectly happy playing emulated games. I own the NES Classic, SNES Classic, Sega Genesis Mini, Sega Genesis Mini 2, Neo Geo Mini and Playstation Classic consoles and I play each one, but I play the SNES Classic the most. I even bought two SNES Classics, just in case one gets broken or stops working.
