@ZabbezOriginal Really... You took me back to my 8 or 10 yrs old when we had the same machine... As i was SOOOO excited to learn knitting on it to help my late mom as she knitted our garment and my uncles' as well... Now i am 57 and still love knitting by any means... THANK YOU TREMENDOUSLY 🙏💓

It depends on what you want to knit and what is available where you live. But basically, you can knit beautiful garments on ANY knitting machine, it doesn't matter.

The machine is made out of a lot of metal parts and plastics. It is a very heavy machine, but I do not know the exact weight of it.

I do not know an official store to by a replacement cord. But on one of my Knittax machines I got the cord out and I just put it through the washing machine (at your own risk). That worked fine for me. You can also go to a hardware store and search matching cords. Good luck!

As the wax is on the surface of the yarn just in a very small amount washing with a woolsoap is enough. That's my experience.😊 And yes, working with 100% woolen yarn on the Passap Duo is easier after waxing this yarn. I prefer and love Cool Wool lace (lana grossa) for knitting.

When knitting with coned woolen yarns, they are also lubricated, so it is quite common to do so. I don’t see a problem there. However, if you are uncertain, just play it safe and try a test swatch first with and without wax. Experiment if you see a difference, go from there and see what suits you best. Good luck!

Hello Emilia, I understand it can be very frustrating when things go wrong. It doesn’t sound like a tension issue. First be sure to check that the ribber is attached properly. Second, when wrapping the yarn be sure to wrap the yarn on the main bed needles IN the latch and the ribber needles BELOW the latch. Third, when laying in the yarn in the ribber needles, be sure to check the yarn lies IN the latch. If you are still having issues, don’t forget that there are several Facebook Groups, including about the Knittax knitting machines, where enthousiast are helping each other out. Go check it out. Cool, you will have a lot of fun from your Passap machine. And the edge springs are there to make sure the edge stitch knits. Other machines use weights to make sure the edge stitches knit. You can do both.

The Knittax Automatic is very cool! Even better than this machine :-) I have plans for a lot more knitting machine video's and hopefully I will also be able to make some additional for the Knittax in the future if I find the time. Fingers crossed.

If there ever will be a moment I can easily make it part of a video, I will do it! That part is already pre installed out of the box and should only come off when cleaning or refurbishing the machine. For now, the best advice I can give you, is to ask in Passap Facebook groups. Good luck!
