Hello Bas ! Thank you so much for your vidéos ! I have the same machine as yours ! My father found it in an attic Last month and he gave it to me even if i have never seen it before 😅 I'm in France but can't find Good explainations so you saved me ! Please continue with other vidéos, that's so fun !!
Wow, thank you! That is really cool your father found it in the attic and gifted it to you. You can knit so much on this machine. It takes some time to learn, but then you can knit almost anything on this knitting machine. You will have a lot of fun 😀
Hello! Thank you for these wonderful vídeos so well explained. I do not have a ribber attachment so I am wondering if I can knit the ribber by hand and transport it to the knitting machine needles. Thank you!❤
Knitting machines were invented a long time ago and became very popular with regular consumers in the 1950's and 1960's for home use. Super cool! Popularity lasted up until about 2000 and then it stopped. You can still find lot's of them second hand 😀
I have this machine, it’s been through a lot. My needles for the ribber are all bent. I’d like to know where I can get more. Even though my machine is old, I still think it’s the best!
Yes, these machines are amazing. And I do not know where you can buy new ribber needles. I think on second hand sites maybe? I hope you will find them, good luck! 😀
Baz! I was so excited to finally find a good tutorial on the ribber, I cast on and kept trying, but I think, upon closer examination that my ribber needles are bent, so getting the yarn in the ribber hook is a bit hit or miss. My mom is 94, and doesn't remember how she was using this machine, like before I was born!!!! I'm thrilled I still have it, even in an attractive wood cabinet, but I am totally stymied on how to get my ribber needles aligned. I think I'm going to go after them with pliers OR, take needles from the ends and replace the bent middle ones, hoping I'll get better alignment. @cMeyer-ut3dd, you might try pulling end ones toward the middle if your end ones are straighter. You'd have blanks at the ends, but at least you'd have a working ribber. I have an alpaca farm here in Issaquah, Washington, USA, so I would like to actually make something I could sell! Baz, any advice would be appreciated. Just in case you're curious, we are: www.T21farms.com @@ZabbezOriginal
@Evelyngrj yes, try to move the outer needles inwards and see if that makes a difference. It would be very cool to be able to knit with your own alpaca yarns. Good luck and I hope you will have success! 😀
Je kunt ze tweedehands regelmatig vinden. Er liggen er een heleboel vergeten op zolders, dus ik zou eens rondvragen of op Marktplaats kijken. Succes! 😀
Great video, I like knitting very much ❤
Thank you :-)

Thank you! Yes you can knit the ribbing by hand and transport it to the needles on the knitting machine. A lot of people do it that way 😀
Thank you!
I’ll try that technique since I don’t have a ribber. ❤️
I have never seen knitting machines like that before?

that is a beautiful machine, are they hard to acquire?
Thank you! It will depend on where you live I suppose. Here they are easy to find on market place websites. Good luck in your search! 😀
Where can I find this machine and it’s attachments?
These old vintage knitting machines are not manufactured anymore, but you can find them secondhand. Good luck! 😀

Hoe komt men aan een Knittax ?
Ik vrees Marktplaats in de gaten houden?
