Thank you very much! And the Singers are great double bed machines that can easily knit this scarf too. I have a Singer machine too and it is a lot of fun to knit on. Enjoy! 😁
That is very cool! This Passap brand is considered the Rolls Royce among home knitting machines. It will take some time to learn, but then you will love it 😀
Dank je wel! Ja met de kerst voor de deur is het een mooi moment om deze lekker te breien. In de lievelingskleuren van de ontvanger maak je een speciaal en persoonlijk cadeau 😀
Loved your video. Great beginner project to get ready for winter. I also loved that you showed a very simple way to attach fringe. I believe there are instructions in the manual for making fringe on the machine that would take less time. Takes a lot of yarn though. LOL. Have you found a pattern to make some quick mittens to go with your new scarf? Your videos are going to be very popular.
Thank you very much! Yes there is fringe described in the standard manual if I am not mistaken. Very cool to use also with projects you can easily sew it onto! Mittens will have to wait, because the video for next week is going to be something else to go with this scarf 😜😁
Nice scarf, really, like the colors and your pattern. I also want to make some scarfs for christmas - I chose Cool Wool Lace (lana grossa) and it works very good in particular with waxed yarn. After washing the scarf is heavenly soft.😊
The yarn you used for this video is seemingly the only type that works on the Passap without problems, i have the same and im obliged to use it … but honestly i dont like the result, do you recommend another yarn that is suitable also and give more beautiful results?
I have used several thicknesses of yarn in my video's. Be sure to check them all out. From thin like this scarf, to sock yarn thickness (sock video), to even a little thicker (child skirt and sweater). Be sure to experiment with yarns you like better! Good luck 👍🏻
I know there are Passap books on mkmanuals, do you mean these? Haven't used them yet as I have several paper versions of the magazine myself. I would like to use them though. Do you know if it is restricted by copyright? Can I just use knitting patterns from my paper magazines or online manuals on my channel?
@ZabbezOriginal Ah. Yes this is where to get the parts of the collection you may not have as paper copies. I can not speak to copyrights in your country. Here in the USA this is not an issue. Passap no longer exists for manufacturing or publications. The rights were not sold or transfered. There needs to be someone with legal standing to be harmed. As far as I have been able to research this possibility and as long as the publications have been available for free download, it would seem no one has come forward. As long as you are not reselling the publications, I would believe there is no issue. You can certainly use them as instructional and commentary material on your videos. Just do not use their exact verbage without adding your own words in the video to be safe. That seems to work with all international copyright laws.
@ZabbezOriginal By The Way, the Model Books were instruction with patterns and introduced new accessories and new machine models. All the early MBs are written for the Duomatic including the DM80. Later they include the E6000 as well as the Duomatics. The Duet publications are more exploratory. They have more tutorial articals, patterns, and commentary from around the world. Great reading including the ads. Then you have single sheet patterns that were passed out once a month to club members who went to meetings to learn new techniques and buy the latest accessories. These helped to support dealers and new sales. You will also find manuals and stitch pattern books here to down load.
@@ZabbezOriginal oh yes you should also know that in some cases, Passap and Duet publications featured patterns designed and written by someone other than Passap employees. In most cases all rights were contracted to Passap. Not knowing for sure what each contract was, pay close attention to the contributing designer and make sure to understand the process. Then alter the machine techniques to your design using your written words. Machine techniques and clothing articals are not able to obtain a patient or copyright. Words are copywriteable. Lovely scarf - thank you. I have a Singer double bed machine and I am looking forward to trying this ☺

Super nice video! The part where the yarn was running out is so relatable haha
Hahaha yes it is isn't it 🤣 Thank you!
So pretty, I just ordered a duomatic 80 too! Such an upgrade from my single bed knitting machine (with no ribber)! Please post more videos soon!

Ah yes thank you for the tip, Cool Wool Lace is the perfect thickness for a scarf 😀 And will make a great Christmas gift!
A lot of pleasure to see the notification of your channel! Please can you make a video about using the deco device on the Passap and pushers also?
I second this. Great suggestion!
Thank you! I do not have a deco device installed on my machine yet. But I will make a video about it in the future 👍🏻
❤
Great video
Thank you so much! 😀

Have you seen the free downloads for Passap Model books- patterns?
