In case the following info helps anyone: vitamin D3 is called a "vitamin" because the body can't make it on its own, but vitamin D3 is actually a steroid hormone, which is crucial for the immune system to function properly. The darker your skin is, the more sun exposure you need for your body to make vitamin D3. So if you have dark skin and live in a northern climate, you'll likely require more vitamin D3 supplementation than someone with light skin. This is for the same reason as "black don't crack." Melanin blocks UV rays, and in doing so, makes less vitamin D3. The skin depends on UV rays to synthesize vitamin D3. In my opinion, this is why blacks were disproportionately impacted by the 2020 virus. Too much vitamin D3 is bad, too. So it's important to get the dose right and check blood levels regularly. I wish this were common knowledge in the black community, because unless you spend hours year round under the Saharan sun, you might be deficient in a vital steroid hormone. Also, vitamin K2 tells the D3 where to go in your body, and it's usually important to supplement with magnesium as well, because the higher your vitamin D3 levels go, the higher your calcium levels go, and magnesium and calcium should be in balance. What I was told that my dermatologist told me the scarring would not come back kept talking about it since it was the size of a quarter it’s on the web is hair transplants don’t work I believe it was done to black women on purpose do you know anything yet women that have this, I also believe some of the damage is caused from wearing these wigs from where I don’t know and the regain and monoxidel work until you stop using it.

Has anyone tried topical metformin? Im old so my hair loss is pretty far along but wanted to pass that along for all my beautiful young ladies suffering with this. I still pray for us too!!

Hi. If you’re taking vitamin D, please consider taking vitamin D with K2. K2 keeps the arteries from hardening. The K2 pushes the calcium into the bones and away from your soft tissue. I take the one with 10,000iu vitamin D with the MK7 form of K2. Also consider taking collagen. I’ve never had CCCA but my hair was thinning at one point. I took and still take collagen. I take both bovine and marine daily; at least 2-3 doses a day, but honestly when I was taking only one serving a day initially and saw a huge difference after one month. The other item is micronutrients/electrolytes. I like the ones by key nutrients but there are several out there.

I've been crying for days over my diagnosis...to the point of hyperventilating and having a migraine headaches. I have CCCA, female pattern alopecia, and traction alopecia. I am growing out my Sisterlocs (before I cut them out) and unfortunately my hair thinned on my edges and I got a bald spot in the process. I have been so scared to cut due to this spot and it’s taking forever to grow back. When I do cut, I now feel comfortable that I will still be able to wear my TWA with confidence! Thanks so much!!! As a BM I use this product line. I only use black hair care products in my hair. I must share this with women when use hair care products please take into consideration genetics diets birth control depression medication high blood pressure medication if you anemic have various of health issues thats treated with medication every one is not gonna have a positive experience not to mention if you smoke cigarettes.
