Welcome to my channel, this is all linked around cars! I try to be as honest as I can and get all the info in. I love them including a Clio 182 that I've owned since 2014. Slowing improving the way I video and edit! Its very much a hobby, but I enjoy it and i hope you do too! Please feel free to leave comments on how I can improve my editing and videos still, and it will hopefully become progressively better. Stick around for more content. Cheers.
IT MIGHT BE APRIL FOOLS BUT THIS IS THE END!
Its the most up to together its probably ever been. And all for a good reason.

The latest, maybe not the greatest. But a fairly cool modification I've been meaning to get my hands on for awhile now. Whether I fit it or the cars gone. I wont know. I'm still on the fence as in the last video. Excited to see you're reaction to this, I'm intrigued! Remember to like, comment and subscribe! As always "Make Life Fun"

Looks quite different in my 2013 clio. Does clio 4 even have that hole? Couldn't find it.
2002 clio 1.5dci 5 door 415k km. still running no problem. servicing is so cheap
I found that the wipers were easy to wiggle off. No luck with hammers or wrenches but wiggling was easy.
Next step is to install a Hydrogen On Demand system :) i have installed one in my Clio Mk2 ☺️
Can’t believe you sold this mate very disappointed 😣
In Germany you whoud get a Strafanzeige from a random guy, just because you painted your'e car outside xD Jokes besides, this looks really good!
Saludos desde México, sabes de alguna página o lugar para comprar algunas refacciones o extras para mi clio sport???
Where can we buy that plate???
I wonder if putting a socket over the round plastic ring would keep it together
We found with our Clio mk2, changing the gearbox oil was a major upgrade! It’s vital to choose the exact oil recommended. For thise who like me had no clue, synchromesh is a very clever system, and has two stages of engagement, before the actual gears ever meet: first, a cone-shaped arrangement ‘slow-grips’ its opposite number and this gets the synchromesh itself nearly up to mating speed; then, the synchromesh ‘dogs’ or teeth and slots, get to fit together…then, and only then, the gear wheels themselves can mesh. Put another way - one of the things synchromesh does, is PREVENT you engaging gears when the synchromesh bit has ‘failed’ in some way. So, synchromesh ENABLES gearchanges with the right conditions being met, but also BLOCKS gearchanges where those conditions are not met. This is old news to experienced and knowledgeable mechanics, but actual news to me. All of which explains why your gears graunch, when you’ve properly ducked the clutch and smoothly moved the gear lever correctly. It’s doing you a favour. One of the mechanics suggested we try changing the gearbox oil, and while skeptical it’s only now it’s done, and I realise how synchro actually works, that the reason for oil being critical is obvious. Literally, the oil has to provide just the right behaviour, some slip and some ‘grip’ or friction, in order for the whole synchromesh thing to work well. The gearbox oil was changed before, but 75,000 miles ago. The symptoms of it going wrong, were that COLD, the gearchanges were great, but as the oil warmed, about 15 minutes in, the refusal to enter gears started, like a ‘gate’ was up, then you force it and it grinds…thus, a hard lesson learned…but great, no gearbox refurb required. It’s like night and day with new proper/correct/exactly right oil . I would say, if your car has more than 50,000 miles in the ‘box, the change would be noticeable. It’s,a messy task, so prep for a mess, newspapers/old blanket down, sand and soap afterward, etc. Good luck…incidentally, the wrong oil, especially ‘too modern’ oil in the ‘box, can sort of dissolve the valuable brass cones that begin the synch process, it is seen as making the oil a really golden yellow, when you empty the old stuff out, potentially. So don’t use ‘better’ oil, just use the right exact stuff for your gearbox. Renault really know. My best, the older Clio range is just a great car if you look after them. Our daughter is driving it to work, and it’s older than she is.
This video, i think, has nade my mind up 😅 might get a scorpion instead of milltek
i have a non resonated Scorpion on my mk4 R32 you will get a drone at higher cruising speed but is worth it if you are looking for noise, Go for it.
Can hardly hear you
Turn your volume up 👌🏻🤣
Hey brother i am a vit scared of those v-maxx coils, do u think they are reliable ? Like should be worried about major breakdowns ?
Been on 6 years now, never had a problem with them. 👍🏻
I’ve got a standard one on 20k miles (56 reg)
Water could inter easly when the air flow intake ia too low
Yes and no. It’s got to travel a fair way upwards to actually get to the filter
According to DVSA this car is still on the road and still has a oil leak 😂
Correct and correct. Find anything else? 🤣
@@jwmeale3058 well I've done a fair few track days and I've not seen it on the track yet
Really enjoyed seeing you working on this over the years. Good job not spraying yourself in the face when painting the rear of the sills..
Thanks! It went surprisingly well actually 🤣
Meg 3rs, even in standard form its just much better, or an fk2
Completely different cars for a Clio 182 in my view but if that’s your opinion 👍🏻
@jwmeale3058 very different, I have both but there's not much on the market for the same money as the clio that will do the same imo, with kids the 3rs is the perfect toy for an all year round car
Noooooo sad day this! Got my MOT on Thursday so I may follow suit lol hopefully not though!
Sure will be when it goes! I hope your mot went alright 👍🏻
WISH ME LUCK! MY BLACK 182 04 PLATE WHICH IVE HAD FOR 15 YEARS IS GOING IN FOR THE DREADED MOT NEXT WEEK! SHE IS TOTALLY STOCK BUT RUNS SO WELL! FINGERS CROSSED!!!! HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT SELLING OVER THE YEARS BUT CANT DO IT!?!?!?!?
Good man! I haven’t really thought about it till recently, never owner anything but a Clio and it’s time for a change for me! Good luck!
I’ve just sold my Monaco 172 I’ve had for 7 years was sad to see it go but move onto something bigger and better 😎
Exactly that, got to see what else is out there. Got to sell to fund sometime else!
Do love this thing
Thanks mate
I think you'll need to get into a BMW to not want back into the Clio soon after you sell it! Thanks for the videos on your 182 over the years, been a great reference for some of the work I've done to mine.
I was literally the same even though it's a 330d E92 it's just far better for everything. Way faster if you want it, crazy how comfy it is and still does 50mpg if needed.
Thank You! for all the videos and tutorials which I still go back and watch :)
Appreciate you always watching mate 👍🏻
You've not tracked it yet, your missing out!
I always wanted to and it was the plan. But then went turbo instead, would of stay NA for track I think.
I've had my 182 13 years now, it's currently sorn on the drive... I do debate selling it but it owes me nothing and I do wonder in ten years time if it will be worth a fortune or maybe I'm kidding myself? Good luck with whatever you get next!
That’s fair, mileage condition etc all plays a big part. They will be for sure, one of the last proper hot hatch’s imo. Appreciate it, thanks!
I hear ya buddy. I’ll be selling mine soon too. It’s going to hurt. But expenses on it are getting out of hand and it’s that time in life as you say. Thank you for all the Clio content you’ve given all of us over the years! I can’t wait to see what you get up to next.
Ah man, well you won’t have trouble selling yours! Love a white Clio 🤩 They sure are, the belts price made me feel ill 🤣 No worries, been good fun.
Depending what you get for next and what your needs will be probably the best decision you made. I sold mine a few years ago and I never regretted selling it. Few years back they were great cheap cars for track/everyday use because they was super cheap. Now not so much and it's just making the car super worthless in my eyes. You can still get a few cheap ones but for the money you have so many better value for money options.
Unsure really, depends what funds I have - got a big holiday and a wedding within the next 14 months so will see! 😅 Dont think I’ll stick with something this long again, but time will tell. Thanks for the comment 🤙🏻
@@jwmeale3058 Anything but a Mk8 Type R. That's so cheap for a reason I bought 2 different ones to see if I just bought a crappy one at a time but omg it's a horrible car. Tried many petrol cars but this era and my kinda budget for a car is limited. I'm glad I ended up trying a E92 Bmw. It's much bigger and I'm a small person wanted a 123d but that has many issues and the interior looks too simple for me. Ended up with a 330d 140k miles fsh etc £2500. Did the gearbox oil change and regular stuff obviously. Apart from that had to replace a lower control arm and ball joint on one side, nothing else for 2 years. I really loved my Clios because they're good little fun especially on a track but I personally wanted something that's good for everything. I'm looking forward to see what you end up with ☺️
Can really relate to this. Had my 182 FF for 12 years too but its now sitting in my friends garage sorn. I need to sell it but i know one day il regret it.. I now have a Clio 200 but it doesnt quite scratch the itch like the 182 does. Goodluck with the sale and all that
Ah yes. Very much me, sorned it for abit over winter. Which made my mind up for me i think. Enjoyed the 197 I used for 6 months or so but I agree it wasn’t the same! Thanks appreciate it 🫡
Clios are frustrating when you own them but by god do you miss them when they’ve gone. I want another.
Oh I’m going to miss it alright. Been great fun.
Shockingly low power for a 2L turbo. An N/A ep3 would make that with an exhaust
I wouldn’t say shockingly low. It is low but I’m not sure you’re right with that one. Ep3 vs Clio 1*2 - Clio takes it everytime. Plenty of videos on here as proof of that. I agree the k20 is superior engine wise. But ep3 is slow without decent modification.
You will be back, Clios are infectious
The fact I’ve had it this long and couldn’t see a path to anything else. Speaks a lot for itself. Will see where we go from here. 😅
@@jwmeale3058How much are you thinking of selling for? I wonder if you will have made money (with the pure man math of ignoring maintenance cost and inflation!) due to the increase in their prices by the end of it
Hey im a German Viewer and just want to ask where i can get a rear bumper like that. Im lookin for some special bumpers but dont find anything.
Great Effort! I'm a new 182 owner and was just made aware of the airbox acoustic valve whilst repairing a hole in the hose! I'd like to delete this if possible. Could you point me to the resistor you used please?
It would not be a Renault if at least one bolt didn't give you grief 😂😂😂 your clio looks really cool
Powerflex kitPff60-211k will fit into febi 29502 engine dogbone! So this means it will fit a lot of Renaults. My 2001 Clio from 2001 has this setup now. The dogbone from a Twingo from arround 2011 fits on my Clio. And the powerflex kit fits the Twingo dogbone. Drives great now!
Was looking for this comment. Want to change it on my 1.6 so that will fit too right?
Fuck me this video is so much longer than it needs to be
Feel free to make one yourself 🤣
Intriguingly named a "power flex" bush. Nothing powerful about hard silicone exhaust mounts, leading to increased noise, vibration and harshness. The original mount has compliant bush, leading to a smoother, quieter exhaust, which in turn leads to less driver fatigue. This lowered fatigue sharpens the driver's perception and will lead to faster lap times.
You don't have to switch the air bag from on to off first on the passenger side before removing the plastic ??
Just picked up a 182 for my 2024 project. Your videos have been massive, thanks. Hope to see more.
How much money cost's you that custome for car
Hang on did I hear you whisper it won’t be yours for long ?!?!
Oh yes selling some point in 2024. After 12 years 😭
@@jwmeale3058 gutting dude if needs must like, just never thought you’d sell up, can never see myself getting rid
Nooooo
Loved watching your video’s as I recently got a black 182
looks like they did an amazing job - who was it that did the work, got a link? also where are they based
Looks like it's these from the reflection!!
I've never seen a gun move that quick before! not sure if that's a good or bad thing lol!!
Don’t have a clue, it’s all about the end product and it looks spot on! So very happy 😁
