Normally I do not use study Bibles, cause I like to have the Holy Spirit direct my Bible Studies, but I still support those who use Study Bible, However this Study Bible is very interesting, and would be interesting to use.

My husband is a studier of maps. He would love this!

The NLT is my favorite. Question: my husband asked if there were such a thing as a Bible that prints the reference passage with the verse that you are reading? (As opposed to just a notation at the bottom of the page.)

I'm a huge NLT fan. I used it during my last 5 years in Scotland. People were not Bible readers. We had lots of people who came to Church and bought NLT Bibles saying, "I can finally understand what I'm reading"!

My planned Christmas present to myself is a Bible in Nuevo Traduccion Viviente (partly due to enjoying the NLT for some books in the Bible, and wanting to improve my Spanish reading skills.) Depending on the quality of the text block, would it be wrong to want to modify the cover as well?

Rather they did anything or not, the fact is they did things in the heart and physical things they also did. This comes from witness.

NLT is def. my favorite translation as well. A friend recommended me to check out the CEV (contemporary english version), have you checked it out? My goodness, the clarity is unreal, even over the NLT imo. Also, the footnotes include what things meant at the time they were translated. For example, in Mark when Jesus meets Legion, there's a footnote talking about the people at the time believed evil spirits lived in the graveyards etc. Such a simple line, but adds so much texture to what I'm reading.
