It’s okay it keeps getting worse

Who's idea was it to have you pay 15 dollars for each character, when the whole point of a fighting game is a diverse character roster?

I remember thinking about playing this game a while back. It seemed fun, and it was nice to see a lot of familiar faces. Now... I think I'll pass.

I know a lot about Looney Tunes, but only because my grandma and my great grandma were into it. Without them I wouldn't care as much as I do.

This is the sort of game I’m glad we’re seeing more of. Ambitious small studios taking lessons from extremely gameplay heavy games and making things that are literally far more enjoyable than most AAA titles. Hopefully the industry realizes that small games are viable again There’s nothing worse for an art form than the stage where only people with tons of money can even play - imagine if the only music that existed was Taylor swift and imagine dragons

There is nothing wrong with the dialogue at all. This is set in an alternative 1960’s Americana and before social media destroyed kids ability to converse to each other on any sort of decent level of communication skill. They respected their elders and often had deep and meaningful conversations with them. Hence why they often were able to speak on what these days people think is a mature level even as young children. The issue is too many associate fake 1980’s for instance like Stranger Things phenomenon to what it was really like to grow up during that time and how they spoke. It’s great to see a game such as this that doesn’t use the terrible terminology that today’s youth use. Poor language is Something unfortunately rife in AAA gaming today especially.

The environment looks great, but I hate turn game.

damn they really have an amazing premise and vibe with this game. its unfortunate it doesnt reach that potential (based from what ive watched so far).

Didnt like the review. You expect too much with its scale and price point. Compared too much with an A game thats why you dont like much of its part. The battle music is repetitive, like in any turn based.

This game genuinely is a contender for GOTY for me, it’s SO GOOD

I feel like ever since Graveyard Keeper which I consider to be a phenomenal game which was followed up by DLC content that only dramatically improved the base product, I feel like the Lazy Bear devs keep putting nails in their own coffin with every release (no pun intended). First, it was that messy half-baked game Swag and Sorcery which felt like a mobile product. Then Punch Club 2 which, while being OK, still felt underwhelming and uneventful. Afterwards there was that horrid League of Legends Yordle game with the most tedious mechanics ever seen in gaming and now this pseudo JRPG. I dunno what is going on with them. All these games have a distinctively attractive art style and yet they always feel like they needed at least a year longer in the oven. I will still give it a fair chance, but I've lost a lot of enthusiasm within my expectations for this dev team's work.

This is by far the best and most complete review I've seen of the game. Definitely picking this one up at some point, and a 15-20 hour romp is perfect (especially with Metaphor coming out soon lol)!

i know the game took heavy inspiration from persona social link system, but they also took the gameplay and fusion system while not expanding upon it is strange and quite disappointing

About the older characters I think most people would be surprised how much classic characters are still mentioned in places like middle school

I already hated the female character designs and antiquated lack of women in general but hearing anything bad about it just really hits it more

the "mercy" mission made me tear up when i saw the "F" prompt

If you're looking for a first person hotline miami spiritual successor, try Neckbreak (Project Downfall), its way harder than this one, you die in one shot like in hotline miami

Pac man world 2 is timeless. Yes pac man rips off the sonic dash, and copies Crash bandicoot. All of those games ripped each other off at the time. It still had its own quirks and specifics. Even though the camera got stuck I like that you could look around and explore the levels. Not to mention the music, when it plays the wave of nostalgia hits you. I played on ps2 but I’m glad it was enjoyed on multiple different consoles.

To gush a bit, I really do love this game. Something I love is that the game does balance itself if you do run solo, I've played enough that I am really good at stealthing around on my own. Something magical happens when you team up other players though: it adds an element of chaos to everything. Whether its keeping up with the group or helping out a player in trouble, situations can change on a dime and it really adds to the experience. Not to mention how great the sound design is, with headphones you can learn so much just through the sound and I love how mic chatter is handled. The game's been getting good updates over the months too. New trials, endings, a new boss enemy, a roguelike mode, its been solid. I'm excited to see what's next.

I thought this was like a one time buy kids game. No wonder this flopped if like they have kids characters along with horror movie and adult show characters. I can’t imagine mommy getting her wallet out when theres a dude throwing deab people in a bag. Plus smash type games are the kind you get out when you have three people playing with you. It sounds like you can only play with 2 people. At least thats the only time my family plays it. I’m not sure how many adults would want to play this when smash is here to buy and it comes with what sounds like more characters for less money.
