I had the 81 first year with world or global emblem on the sides of the car ya no ac but my escort had the tri angle pop open windows and it would direct air onto you and it also came equipped with a large removable sun roof. Great little car!

Hello, looking for some info, maybe you can help. I have what i think is a 1969 Bolens 1250 large frame. Would a bad magneto cause it to have no spark because is turns but does not start. I have replaced ignition coil, spark plug, starter solenoid, and points. Any info you can give would be appriciated. Thanks

A newer rear steer Bolens is a Villa. I finally found one two years ago for $200. Seller said it ran but I’ve been very busy and I use my Toro 522xi.

My son had a Bolen’s with the Johnson Forklift attachment. Just sold it and it is going to be shipped to Utah from Wisconsin. Very cool the old school stuff….

Believe it or not thess 80's and early 90's "economy" cars like the Escorts, Chevy Celebrity and the Chrysler K cars are becoming popular with the teens and young 20 somethings out here in the West/Southwest as a cheap/budget JDM style builds, Especially the 2 doors and Wagons. I live in Triangle (Northwest Arizona/Southern Nevada/Southeast California) and there are A LOT of them running around out here. My next door neighbor's 15 year old son is building a 84 Escort wagon, his best friend has a 80 Dodge Aries 2 door that is all built out, one of the young 20 something's I work with is building a 85 Celebrity wagon and they are spending almost nothing on them, They aren't my kind of car but that's hot rodding at it's finest, The $500 Nova of my Generation as become the $800 Escort of this generation.

The light on my 1900 stays on for a while but goes off after a bit of mowing at high revs. Like you I verified it is charging with a meter.

I have sold that model Snapper mower when it was new, I still see those model Snapper models in service. We have been a Snapper dealer since 1958 one of the oldest in the Gulf South area.

I can tell you that the S series engines made by Wisconsin were cheapened engines to compete with Kohler engines for the garden tractor market. This is what was told to me by a few Bolens know it alls. The cylinder jugs are attached to the crankcase with fasteners. Wisconsin engines are know for mouse nest inside the air shroud and cooking the engine and sometimes locking the piston. Where are you located in PA fella ??

I had the same swap ,I made a tank to go under the seat and machined a new pulley so that I had both belts kept the original muffler and all

Google it you should be able to find out how to check the status and there is a voltage regulator externally on it should be mounted on the engine

Replace the connecting rods too! Weak link inn a Kohler engine

got a 1987 for free, never had a Snapper before, 3.5 hp, starts up runs good, did NOT NEED a carb cleaning, the old B & S engines are grate !!

Hello. I have a bolens 3214H st140. The holes for the mower deck mount are wopped out after 1400 hrs. Do you know how I would go about finding replacement mounts? Have you seen this problem with either of your GardenWay built Troy Bilts? Thanks for any input.
