Great content as always man. So ive been brewing and id like to share it hahah, i got this yanmega+spiritomb+skarmory deck that i absolutely love. The idea for it is that two taps from spiritomb bring darkrai to 120 or 140 when he has giant cape meaning yanmega can always one tap him, it has the 2 copies of cyrus and 1 sabrina because if magnezone comes after darkrai dies you can use either to swap for something you can one tap, the third pick is skarmory because i think this deck likes playing 3 tools and the energy color is free anyways, skarmory solves early games very well for one energy only which allows to build the yanmega asap. Since all of them are 1 retreat cost its a xspeed deck, i thought of adding dawn to it but slots are tight and im afraid she would interfere with cyrus vs darkrai, although ig she finds good use in a scenario where yanmega goes in with two energies + dawn to kill drudigon, takes 20 dmg but has giant cape on or enemy magnezone still isnt ready and then you can survive, cyrus the darkrai and win that way

haven't win a single game against a darkrai ex deck, there might be some imbalance around somewhere there right?

I agree with the lists notably that the A-tiers are mons that mostly like going first, have big attacks and/or power uppers. And S-tiers are mons that have partners/mons that enable them to reach said tier being gyarados-drudd/ninja, darkrai-zone/ninja, palkia-manaphy but also 2 of these are misty cards as well. The only thing, which is kind of a travesty is egg ex, I dont know which is it's best partners are, hopefully in new set they'll come. Ty for the vid as usual.

I think Starmie is A-tier and it doesn't rely on bad card like Manaphy to carry it. There few pokemons that are stage 1 and even come close to the way Starmie is stated and costed.

Starmie in B tier is criminal, if you get a double Starmie cycle it's over for your opponent. Also, Starmie has really good synergy with Palkia and Vaporeon, especially since you can pull it out without having to use a Leaf, which allows Palkia to use either a Sabrina, Cyrus, or Giovanni to nuke your opponent

I've been thinking pachirisu + yanmega might be good

Misty needs to be removed from the game. If Pocket cards were tiered from an anti-balance/fun perspective, I would put Misty in S and nothing in A, and I feel like that's not a very rare opinion.

I was literally thinking of this deck when I pulled yanmega!! Only thing missing is manaphy. I pulled infernape and 2 palkias, but getting 1 more manaphy is so difficult.

Non EX tier list would be fire

I really want mismagius to be good, I love the idea of a fast EX with disruption baked into its kit. I hope someone finds a package that really lets it shine

You're so right that Infernape and Gallade will see more play as this meta matures. I wouldnt sleep on Pachirisu as people experiment. Darkrai and Palkia are probably the two best Ex in the game.

I think I found a solid deck with Pacharisu Zapdos 16 Trainers. This is the one deck I think Mars is good in because when they get that first knock out you can force them down to 1 card.

I think you have pachi a little low and galade a little high. The format is very heavy on 140hp pokemon with capes getting up to 160 that galade simply doesn't lineup into. Pachi is a bit of a gimmick, but it's a very consistent gimmick that has an incredible going second winrate. Galade feels a little outclassed by rampardos imo.

Maybe it’s just because I’m playing a lot of Pikachu still (Rip me pulling new cards), but I’d still put it in B tier. It has a great match up into Palkia, a Zebstrika or Pikachu getting easy points off Manaphy especially since OP usually wants to activate it twice. Then using Cyrus to hunt down Palkia even if they take a KO. Definitely not where it was, but I’ve won games through misty flipping 3 or 4 heads. 4 games to be exact. It also can just out race Darkrai a lot of the time. Forcing them to have the outs can just be brutal at times because the deck loves to pray on unevolved pokemon. I think its biggest problem is and always will be consistency. You almost need Pikachu, and then you still need 3 basics. So it can brick but idk cryrus and dawn seem like great additions for me because they let me finish off anything Pikachu softens or attack turn 2 with a full HP Pikachu if I get a Xspeed

I think something people are overlooking is the anti meta combo of pachirisu yanmega. Throw in two copies of each, plus spiritomb plus Cyrus and you can really break down a lot of meta decks.

Dialga b-teir??? It's def A at least. It fits in sooo many decks

You should give Skarmory Magnezone a shot.

Gallade has surprised me the most. It hits so hard and fast, with a significant health pool. I was originally bummed because I pulled 2 before any other EX.

I feel like Dialga EX is a good card but lacks a proper big EX card to ramp. Yanmega EX is the best one right now, but 120 damage falls short in some matchups, and being weak to electric is bad against Magnezone decks. But as we get more cards and the meta shifts, Dialga will probably get better. Or maybe this is copium

A small change on the editing could be to the logo change from pokeball to super > ultra > master ball as tiers goes up. Anyway I'm really happy to see Blastoise and all the stage 2 pokemon being more and more playable thanks to pokemon communication :)

I ended up cutting Luxray altogether and running 2 electivire, 2 a1 magneton, 1 pachi, 1 surge. Deck is still a work in progress and going first absolutely blows. Might add Zapdos EX to mitigate that after seeing it in another one of your videos. EDIT: actually the farfetchd could be good too.

Do you think this deck has any room for Dawn in it?

I think Zapdos hasn't lost much of it's value with Pikachu's downfall: it's still doing it's job of being decent both early and late in the game with it's basic EX status, and pairs decently with Magnezone since you can enable it's 4x50 random attack one turn earlier with Dawn as long as you generated an energy with Magneton on the bench.

imo Dialga is just too slow to feel useful a lot of the time, 2 energy to put 2 energy on something else very rarely ever outpaces other deck archetypes in the way that you'd hope it would. also the 4 cost 100 damage move just never comes into play

Gallade's gotta be the biggest surprise here to me. Infernape is probably the next biggest but its my favorite ex card so far this expansion!

I really hope they don't screw up Sharpedo, it's my favorite, I hope it becomes a hidden gem at the very least like Luxray and Magnezone that when people find out it burts into meta.

I have one major counterpoint to Aero completely eclipsing Marowak... There is currently zero way to tutor a Fossil card, and you can start with Cubone as your first Basic. As a secondary minor point, as a Basic, Cubone actually has a first-energy advantage in Growl to delay. Aero MUST always wait for that second energy generation before doing anything. So, in short, Marowak is more consistent to get online. Until we get a Fossil Escavation card or Item tutor, this will always be the case.

I know you said "in a way" but nah, Cresselia and Lapras being awful is really bad, these are popular pokemon, although Cresselia is usually hated for the defensive playstyle. But if anything all they needed to do was making promo cards tradeable. I don't think they made Lapras EX bad on purpose though, at the time it didn't seem that bad compared to Articuno, it just fell off hard to justify its space on decks just like Hypno and Clefable on Mewtwo decks

Would love to hear feedback on cards getting reworked.. the two that come to mind are misty and moltres ex, maybe adjusting the max flips to 2 and moltres ex getting 2 flips.

kind of hilarious how badly people missed on Palkia, seems like a lot of people thought it was F tier and instead it’s one of the best pokemon in the meta right now (which Jeff called before the set even came out lol)
