You'll never kill the other active pokemon, arcanine and golem? Not enough damage. All of this so you are forced to play the new pokemons that all attack the bench or just make moredamage by exixsting or having way more energy. Try playing your older decksin ladder with no changes and see if you dont feelthe powercreep

Weaknesses definitely matter. You basically can’t play Mewtwo without losing half your games because everyone plays Weavile. Type advantage matters massively with fast decks. Pikachu is the same.
Jeff is usually spot on with his decks, but this one feels pretty awful to me. Maybe because it is a deck created right after release before exploring other decks? Lead with cresselia and it usually ends up dead after getting one attack. Leading with Togepi, even when i get it on curve quite often it ends up dead before it can even evolve to Togekiss. The meta feels so aggressive that having a 2 energy basic attacker doesnt feel worth it.

Decent players win with bad decks all the time. Random queues have a lot of distracted players and low quality decks you'll play against. Big difference between this and an actually competitive environment like a tournament.
Maybe someone can explain it to me, but I don’t see the point of Cresselia in this deck, I think I would rather run 1 Giratina and 2 Mew. Maybe I’m missing something, I just don’t see it as being very good
It is a reliable tank that attacks reasonably and has a bit of sustain for 2 energies. Giratina takes too long to power up, and Mew in this deck is absolutely situational, so there is no reason for 2 really
Cresselia takes 2 energy to attack and retreat, making it viable to pivot once your togekiss(es) are online. Giratina most of the time gobbles one energy and just sponges the damage without ever attacking. I played matches that Cresselia was fundamental to win. Those 50 damage chips on bigger pokemon are invaluable (looking at you moltres / exeggutor)
@ I don’t really see Giratina as an attacked, just a wall with an easy retreat. It’s not like Cresselia is even that bulky for the sustain it provides. I haven’t had a chance to really test either out though so I’m not saying I’m right, just that I don’t see it haha. Neither seem particularly good
@@pjanderson4876 I've been toying with many variants of this deck since the set came out and I honestly believe Cresselia is really the better pair here
Them pronunciations are throwing me off! 😅 I grew up knowing them as togepi (Toh-geh-pee), Togetic (Toh-geh-tick), and Togekiss (Toh-geh-kiss). I mean, i could be wrong. It's just weird for my brain to hear them pronounced that way! lol
Its called farming for engagement. It's intentional to get people like you talking about it in the comments which helps in the video algorithm. Good job!
Maybe a dumb question, but how do you gauge deck power in ladder? I feel like that's one of the things holding back this game is the lack of a ranked ladder of sorts. Would be nice to know how good this really is amongst the top meta
Ranked ladders don't help you gauge a decks power level. If anything they make it even harder because ladders reward playing more, which means people play decks that win fast as opposed to decks that are actually good. Gut feels from years of experience is what you have to run on until we have some tournament data to look at objectively.
I don't have any experience with traditional card games so while I'm excited about the new expansions spicing up the meta I'm also a little bit worried that in a couple expansions the game will become extremely knowledge check heavy. How does it work in paper poke? Remembering break points and all possible abilities and supporters for hundreds of cards (and their variations) seems impossible.
@gargooletz There is a range of play between brainless card throwing and knowing every single aspect of the meta game. If someone doesn't want to put in the time to study everything to a tee, they can still have fun, interactive and competitive games just by trying. And that will usually lead to learning about all the breakpoints and matchups by itself too.
Its called farming for engagement. It's intentional to get people like you talking about it in the comments which helps in the video algorithm. Welcome to the team!
You can literally read these comments to see other people aggressively asserting it's pronounced in a way different than what y'all said here Why I on earth should I spend time learning the "right" way to say 1000 functional character names when y'all can't even agree on them.

Neither seem particularly good
@@pjanderson4876 I've been toying with many variants of this deck since the set came out and I honestly believe Cresselia is really the better pair here
giratina feels better than cresselia
Them pronunciations are throwing me off! 😅
I grew up knowing them as togepi (Toh-geh-pee), Togetic (Toh-geh-tick), and Togekiss (Toh-geh-kiss). I mean, i could be wrong. It's just weird for my brain to hear them pronounced that way! lol
He's trolling at this point i swear hahah
Its called farming for engagement. It's intentional to get people like you talking about it in the comments which helps in the video algorithm. Good job!
@CrinsomYShen OK cool, so it's not just me!!!
Engagement bait, you bit (me too now)
Maybe a dumb question, but how do you gauge deck power in ladder?
I feel like that's one of the things holding back this game is the lack of a ranked ladder of sorts. Would be nice to know how good this really is amongst the top meta
Ranked ladders don't help you gauge a decks power level. If anything they make it even harder because ladders reward playing more, which means people play decks that win fast as opposed to decks that are actually good.
Gut feels from years of experience is what you have to run on until we have some tournament data to look at objectively.
Cresselia looks kinda useless in this deck..
You don't have to play at a high level to enjoy the game.
Real tcg is very complex, there are decks that run many specific cards for each deck in meta
@@LeodSMW That's not an answer. Just putting cards on the board without sense of agency doesn't seem fun even on casual level.
@@LeodSMW Fair point. I guess I'll see along the way how it feels.
I tried using a deck involving Togekiss x2. I lost about over 6 games in a row. But instead of Mew, Porygon and Cresselia, I had Drowzee and Hypno.
You mispronounced Togekiss. Toge is pronounced like Doge. You know, like the meme
Don't you dare lol
@Spudmay 😇
For the love of pokemon please learn the pronunciations.
How are you saying togetik correctly and then say TOGE KISS
It's TOH-guh- kiss
Its called farming for engagement. It's intentional to get people like you talking about it in the comments which helps in the video algorithm. Welcome to the team!
You can literally read these comments to see other people aggressively asserting it's pronounced in a way different than what y'all said here
Why I on earth should I spend time learning the "right" way to say 1000 functional character names when y'all can't even agree on them.
@HooglandiaPocket i mean you got togepi and togetik right.... then suddenly TOGE kiss
@@HooglandiaPocketyou’re trolling
Cynthia is so pushed. It will make it hard for them to create garchomp and togekiss ex in future
Cynthia states Garchomp and Togekiss. They'd have to make another Cynthia that includes EX versions.
the game now broken as hell. WevileEX and Darkrai EX are just pure pay to win. you need to open Palkia and Dialga booster to get both.
And there's enough time even for f2p to open enough cards from both. That or open only one pack and trade what you need from the other.
