In some defense of beers, it's really important for 1v1s because whenever you sre on the odd number in the order, you have an advantage because you just get shoot more. This matters less when the table is full but is just something that makes it worth using late into a round, to just keep advantage. I still agree with a C placement though, it's stil kinda just okay with some applications sometimes

Beer can either empty more live shells makeing enemies do less damage to you. Also you can use it for item rotation as long as you have a blank at the end you get new items

It just occurred to me recently that the cell phone is *basically* just a delayed magnifying glass. Sure, you may not be able to use the 5th shell that the phone foretold, but it can still affect the probability of the *other* shells. Like, let's look at a scenario. 2 lives, 2 blanks. The phone predicts that the third shell is, let's say, a live round. That means the probability of the current shell in the chamber being live is a 33% chance, since the 2 blanks are still unaccounted for. Instead of the 50/50 you had before. Still, it doesn't help the fact that I have *no damn clue how it works.* When it says "fifth shell... blank..." does that mean the 5th shell from now, or the 5th shell in general? We are currently on shell 3 out of 8 so I *NEED TO KNOW GRANDMA, PLEASE.*

Beer is good for stalling, either for a live shell the cellphone warned you about or forcing a reload of shells and getting better items, not more beer, if possible.

The Beer/Cellphone combo only works while driving.

I would disagree on the beer being at the bottom of the barrel, because it has uses when you want to empty the gun guaranteed - so you get new items, keep your turn safely or make the next guy to guess what round it's going to be in, since the math restarts. It's far from being niche - but it forces you to count hard.

Some good points here, but if you're going to mention the synergy between Magnifying glass and Inverter, it feels a little unfair to not mention the synergy between burner phone and beer. (Burner phone, "Third shell... Live Round", Chug two beers, you have a live now) Burner phone can also be pretty useful on its own all things considered. Burner phone isn't just a delayed magnifying glass. If you're at a 2/2 load and use the burner phone "Third Shell... Blank" that takes one of the blanks out of the question of if it's loaded meaning the odds of the current shell become 66/33. You effectively get the same info as a beer but without sharing it to the table, as well as if the play somehow ends back up in your hands, you possibly *still* have that info to work with

for a neeerd such as myself, the inverter and beer tickle my brain I keep a sheet of paper and a pencil, that's how much of a nerd I am. That said, I quickly get a headache keeping track with a full lobby, it was so much easier when you just had to ass blast one idiot instead of 3

I swear to god every time ciggies are on the table it becomes the focal point of everyone’s attention no matter who has them. Imo they should be more rare because every round people are skipping the person with the ciggies, or stealing them, or smoking them immediately because they know they’re gonna get skipped/stolen. It stops being buckshot roulette and instead becomes ciggy party

Adrenaline will always be my beloved. Not only stealing an good item from your opponent and using it is really effective, but the psychological damage it gives when you steal their precious item they were saving will always be funny. But sadly the psychological damage also applies to you :(

I think beer has another niche in 1v1s, cause if you only have live rounds left you can reduce the number of rounds in there so your opponent can't use items like the jammer to get more shots on you.

To be honest all of the items are good if you you use them correctly and time their use

for beer, you can get into a situation where in a 1 blank/3 live where the black got used already. then you can use a couple of beers to remove 2 of the 3 lives so when your turn ends, they don't have guaranteed damage against you or anyone else.

I use the inverter as a “f**k the luck” item and pray to god that the loaded round after I use it is a live round and kill my opponent.

I like how aside from game mechanics you have to take in default player behaviors into account. Us humans are truly the most magnificent hive mind.

Adrenaline is OP. Not only does it provide you *almost* any item you want, but it also takes it away from the person you took it from.

Beers are goated. End a round without having to play the shell and keep your turn for the next load (good if you lose track, you're only human after all and if you use a scratch pad you're a bitch), zero in on the last round to guarantee what it is, or dig for a round you've cellphone'd you have. And, of couse, it tilts odds, which is genuinely useful. Cellphone is goated too. Knowing what a round is has great politics potential so long as you aren't a doofus about it, and if you know what the Xth shell *is,* that gives you information on what the current shell *isn't.* Combos with beer well. BIGGEST THING ABOUT BEER, you can discard the last shell, even if it's live, and it'll still be your turn after items replenish, giving you a chance to come back from an otherwise unwinnable situation with ciggies or a handsaw.

Played with my friends and one of the first things I did was steal my friend's cigs while I was at full health and completely wasting it so he couldn't use it. He was pissed lmao

Beer actually is great in multiplayer, not letting your opponents shoot is an incredible ability where I would be willing to throw away rounds just so I can prevent my enemies from even taking one shot
