Hello Bonnie! Yes, I've encountered problems with my belt becoming loose and had to read the instructions and even had my friend LP come up and help me. It's nothing to be ashamed of even if you've been wood turning for a long time. ~ As far as it goes for learning, I began turning about 2 years ago now (boy how time flies) and I was literally out there almost every single day. I watched a video awhile back and the guy said, that if you don't wood turn but 1 or 2 times a week then you will have a harder time really learning to master wood turning. Everyone is different (granted). I've seen some of your cups and bowls and they are beautiful (quite impressive) ! I just think that where there's a will there's a way and if one is willing to learn they will learn. Might take longer that others but that's irrelevant. ~ Thank you Bonne for your wonderful and encouraging compliment and for coming here. I thoroughly enjoy reading what you have to say ❤

Bonnie! I thoroughly enjoy your comment and thank you! ~ I've always enjoyed art and believe that details no matter how small do matter. In fact, I've discovered recently that even sanding (which is detailing) matters. ~ I would say that one of the main reasons I am at this "stage" is because I've wood turned (literally) almost every single day for almost 2 years now. One does not have to be artistic (although I think it helps) to reach higher levels of wood turning. Some of the primary factors are learning to hold the tools for the cutting you want to achieve. Bonnie, I still have MUCH to learn and I'm humbled that you think highly of my wood turning and art. I'm Sooo happy you come here! Thank you Bonnie! Now THAT makes sense! I do know that resin is pumped to damaged areas on the pine tree to seal it off from bugs and diseases. I just didn't correlate it with the imperfection on the ferro rod handle. Too bad pine trees can't seal themselves off from those stinking pine beetle.

I've always loved details in art. ~ Lol Bonnie! The wood does have it's own mind and we have to work along with it accordingly just as you did with your bowl. ~ a base? I'm not sure what you're referring to? Could you enlighten me...... Or maybe I'll type the questionnaire in and look for examples of what you mean. ~"little balls"~ interesting. on what end? I had one ball and the other was kinda egg shaped. I have made a finial with 8 balls and then the point last year. kewel stuff Thank you Bonnie! I should teach you wood turning! You'd be wearing full armor. It hit the ceiling of the carport and I found a couple of pieces in my back yard. I didn't know what was going on it was so loud. I actually thought my lathe was coming apart. I had one piece slightly graze my head. It Didn't hurt. ~ Maybe I should send Baby to you for awhile and then she can drive you nuts!
