I rode the old dirt Indian Trail along the river most of the time. To and from Triton College when I lived in Oak Park !

Hey Cynical! I just learned about the Bike the Drive event in Chicago. I just watched your video from 2022 and that has me even more excited to attend. I'm registered for this year's event and hope to see you and some other UA-cam celebrities out there. Lol! I'm going to be staying at the Marriott Marquis because it's close to the event. Instead of parking, I'm going to ride my bike to the event from my hotel. Do you have any helpful tips about the event? I think the lodging and knowing where the event is taking place is half the battle. I look fwd to hearing from you. I love your videos!! 👊🏾

Where is the start? What town?

I grew up on the Fox River trail in East Dundee. The stretch of trail from Forest Park to Wisconsin is still my favorite I've ever ridden. Thanks for taking us along.

Just did this ride yesterday impulsively with no planning. Longest ride I've ever done including the commute to and from the southern end. VERY tiring but very rewarding and fun.

Wonderful ride! My local trail! I used to ride St Charles to Aurora almost every day in the summer in High School, and still try to do an Oswego > St Charles > Oswego 50 miler every so often.

This is a short ride. Its a bumpy paved trail.... they have been doing some repairs. Acces to lots of stores.

I used to ride along the lakefront every weekend in the summer. Getting too old for it now, but I can watch this awesome video on my tv with headphones to bring back the memories.

Agree the cycling trails around lakes in Bavaria and Lake Zurich although spellbinding, pale when compared to the lakefront in Chicago. Even the smaller riverfront trail in chicago are nice. However its no longer this smooth and one needs to be careful of several uneven patches along the way.

Thats my usual loop, except i always climb the sled hill. If i have time i usually ride to the wisconsin border. Would be interesting if you ride off road stuff too, like paul douglas, raceway, palos or saweekee.

Does the gravel portion of the North Branch Trail primarily run adjacent to the paved portion? I have not ridden the North Branch Trail north of Linne Woods yet. Thanks again!

This is amazing!! I used to work at the Adler Planetarium, so I would bike to and from there from Montrose, so this video feels like it was made for me! Granted, Irving Park is closer, but I always feel like a car would hit me just getting to the Lake Front path. The biggest difference I see is that new path around the bridge over the river. I really hated going through the bridge as it was hard to navigate, especially when it was full of pedestrians. I'm glad Chicago made that side trail around it. Thanks a lot for the video and keep up the great work!
