Today we start our ride at the beginning of Lake Shore Drive at Bryn Mawr Ave, make our way through the Loop (downtown), and head all the way south to the Museum of Science and Industry. DuSable Lake Shore Drive is one of the busiest streets in Chicago and once a year it is cleared of motor vehicles for Bike the Drive. The Bike the Drive ride is always held on a Sunday morning.
    Distance: 15 miles (24km).
Recorded on Sunday, September 4, 2022
This video features no music, only the binaural audio recorded during the ride. I go through great lengths to get quality ambient sounds, but if that's not your thing, feel free to listen to your own music and podcast while you ride along.
The goal of this channel is to record and document trails and bike rides so you can use it to plan your ride or ride along with me indoors in your stationary/exercise bike at home. Or... You can kick back, relax, and enjoy the scenery and sounds.

Love the video quaility! How did you get it so level? Do you use a gimbal or do you use horizon lock? (assuming you are using a gopro)

Thank you! I use a gimbal + GoPro's ReelSteady (on the computer). No horizon lock nor any stabilization in camera.

      not a fan of e-unicycles?

@@SuperShadow It's probably not the biggest deal ever, but I thought it was unusual for this kind of event where the emphasis is on enjoying a lakeshore drive free of cars to see a motorized vehicle essentially moving at a car speed.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were hitting near 35 mph, considering the camera person is in the "fast" left-lane, and the unicycle was still able to blow past them. Compare this to the kitted cyclist at 40:36. The e-unicycle is much farther after 3 seconds than what could probably be considered one of the faster cyclists that you can expect in the left lane.
