This has been a fun series! I think I’ve got a couple of pipes about that same size - which are great for getting a taste or for those quick smokes
Yep! What originally was for my wife is now mine haha
That is great little pipe! I’m now on the hunt for a paneled Dr.Grabow because it feels wrong to be pipe smoker and not have one!?!?
Paneled pipes have never been my thing but they are a unique style that everyone should have at least one of.
Interesting thoughts Pat, thank you. And thank you to Mrs. P for her input.
Anytime! You’re welcome!
Doesn’t the WV shop show pics of the actual Grabow you buy…unlike P&C which just shows a representative?
Correct. And they show it next to a ruler so you can see exact measurements which is nice. 👍🏻
I just bought a Lark with a tapered bit. The place I've been buying most of the cigars I've been smoking had a couple of larks with the saddle bit, but I honestly don't really care for the look of the saddle bit. Are there any benefits to them, or are they just cosmetic? This is my first pipe and I've actually yet to smoke it. Not sure what I'll try first. Was thinking of going with Half & Half, but I'm tempted to get some Maltese Falcon. I'm a big fan of the book and movie, but it's been reviewed favorably by many, especially by a fellow with some interesting facial hair.
🤣🤣🤣 so I feel Like your an undercover spy sent by curmudgeon piper. The saddle bit is supposed to distribute the weight of the pipe evenly across your teeth…whether it does this better than others….🤷🏻♂️🫣🤣Hahah in all seriousness MF is a good English blend but my vote is half and half but then again as the song says….im a simple kinda man. lol thanks for commenting!
@@PaladinPiper Actually, I was referring to Muttnchop Piper, but, yeah, him too. 😁 There's a lot of choices. Too many, perhaps. Might get the smallest samples of both.
My top two codger blends are H&H and Velvet. Tried SWR but it had a vinegar taste that I didn’t care for. Well, I had an entire pouch of SWR to go through and didn’t want to just throw it away. Saw a video of yours about Codger Corner and thought I’d give it a shot. It was delicious! If this blend is like codger corner then I’m gonna add this to my wishlist of tobaccos!
We see eye to eye on that sir! And yes it’s super close to codger corner!
Hey Pat, this has been a great series. It made me go back revisit my Grabows. Their great and really hold up
Thanks! And yeah they are good smokers which I am gonna have to make a purpose of enjoying them more frequently
Nice little pipe 👍
Thanks buddy!
I love all your content, I can't wait to settle down and enjoy a smoke with you! Was wondering if you know what happened to The artful codger's channel?
I know he took his channel down for a while and then put some of the videos back up. I think he just decided to stop making videos for whatever reason,
Do you wax and polish your pipes before every video? They always look better than brand new?!🤯
Thanks! Unfortunately I don’t spend enough time with these Grabows. That’s why they are so clean hahah
BCA was one that i had to learn to enjoy, now its a regular evening blend. I have ordered some Bills Blend, i hope its just as you describe. Thanks for the review. 🤠
Thanks for watching! BCA can be hard to love for sure.
This has been a great series Pat 👍
Beautiful pipe. Those stems always seem to me, to be made of Werther's Hard Caramel Candy… lol I know you are also a fan of the Medico Pipes… me too, as well as the Dr. Grabows. Have you noticed that many of the Grabow & Medico pipes are twins… the Billiards, Dublins and Apples?
Ohhh yes. They were def direct competitors
Wow! He's a tiny pipe, isn't he! Like a mini canadian. Very cool!
Yep!
That’s a neat little pipe buddy. Thanks for sharing
Nice pipe, buddy. Can anything good come from Sparta? Why yes, yes it can.

Good Morning 😊 This Was a Fantastic Series👌🏽 Hats off For a Great Job 💯 Wonder Whats Next 🤔 Beautiful Pipe 😍 Small Pipes are Not For Me 😮 Have a Great Day and Happy Piping Moments 🌬💨💨 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
One more to go!
@@PaladinPiper Bonus Video 🤣
I have one of those little Dukes but mine has a smooth finish and a light blue spade on the bit. Belonged to my Great- uncle Lawrence. I primarily use it as my “Short Smoker” when I don’t want that long a smoke
Awesome!
@@PaladinPiper I wish I could share a photo but we don’t have that ability here on UA-cam.
Thanks Pat! I really enjoyed the month of Dr Grabow. A little sad its coming to an end. But... im excited to see whats next!!
I gotssss planssss
Tiny pipes are terrific! The one thing that bugs me about grabows is the “rustication” as it remind me of wormy wood. Nicely done series, Pat!
Hahah some of them do for sure!
The strongest blend I have had lately is Five Brothers. Strong vitamin N.
Oh yeah that’s super strong also!
Great series on under-appreciated pipes!
Thanks Chris!
Got to wonder what's in store for the finale

Licorice topping?? Im going to have to add that to the list. Great to see you Pat. Hope you enjoyed Grabow month. 🍻💨💨
Oh yes. It’s gooooood
After smoking that pipe, I would want to smoke a pipe. 😂
Hahaah
The Duke is $52 at my local tobacco shop in Indiana.
😱😱😱😱😱
I got a few Riviera unsmoked which are made in Italy as well for 10 to 15 bucks on ebay. I have a Royal Duke from the 70s that had maybe 2 bowls smoked out of it for 15 bucks. I don't buy any new Grabows anymore. The estates were made so much better.
Short pipe for a strong short smoke
Yup
Cool lil pipe. I'm going to buy some warhorse green, sounds really good. I like a hefty nic hit sometimes.
You’ll love it!
Nice lookin pipe! Can't wait for the Grand Finale!🎉
I’m gonna try to make it awesome!
Been a fun month! 😁👍💨💨
Yes sir!
That is a tiny pipe. 😀
Yes sir! It was originally for me wife. Don’t make fun!🤣🤣🤣
It’s all genetics…
I have been smoking on a little English pipe, and I seem to like using it more than the big pipes. I'm not sure why, but it seems to draw nice and taste nicer.
I love these little guys for tasting new blends I put together or just having stronger blends in them. But generally speaking I gravitate to the smaller pipes more also
Good video pally
Thanks Jim!
Cool little Doc!
Yep. Cutie lol
Nice pipe and nice night on the patio.
Yes sir!
Neat lil pipe, been enjoying these
Thanks buddy! Been having fun making them!
Great stuff again Pat! Enjoying this series, and strangely, I’ve found myself looking at Dr. Grabow pipes more frequently!?! Weird, huh!? #influencer 🤣
Hahahahah guillltttyyyyyy🤣🤣🤣
Gonna have to try it. Literally live in the same city as you 😂. Can’t believe it. I love going to Boswells.
Beautiful grain on some of that, Lark! Happy smokes! 🌬️💨💨
You know I'm loving this series so much I feel an urge to send you a grabow just to have another day, if your interested? Keep it up 🙂👍
Hahah. No need to do that. There will be more Grabow Goodness in the future! Trust me. Hahah
Well let's just say I specifically collect one particular grabow shape and the different models of it and because of that I have a couple of repeats. I wouldn't mind giving one away to someone who would appreciate it
That is a sharp little pipe.
Studebaker Lark. From Wiki: Eldorado -- Cadillac Viscount -- Dodge (Car built by Chrysler Corporation of Canada Ltd, for Canadian Markets only ca1959.) Starfire -- Oldsmobile (The original Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Starfire, named after the Lockheed F9413 Starfire fighter jet, was first introduced as a show car in 1953 at GM's Motorama along with the Buick Skylark and the Cadillac Eldorado.) Regal -- Buick Savoy -- Plymouth (by the way, my friend at Dr. Grabow didn't say, but there was also a Plymouth BELVEDERE!) Riviera -- Buick, I think first produced for model year 1963, which would have made it known in 1962. The pipe name precedes that, but maybe I missed something. Lark -- Studebaker
Absolutely love Prince Albert. It is my go-to. Love your videos, too, and really need to pick up a Grabow.
After-all PA means pipe appeal. Thanks for watching!
Good Evening 😊 Beautiful Pipe 😍 Captain Black Platinum is Good 😋 Was Fountate To Receive a Packet 👍🏼 Thanks For Sharing a Pipe With Me 🌬💨💨 Have a Great Day & Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
War Horse bar is a very festive tobacco to me as well, and yes Il enjoy it around Christmas time as it smells like fresh cut Spruce tree in the living room with momma baking sweet treats in the kitchen and burning incense sticks.... I can't understand why its called War horse, unless the miniature war like horse was a Christmas gift found under Christmas tree one morning by the creator of this blend😊
Yes!!!! You described it exactly!!!!!!
my grabow started in the army going to new post i get new to start with
Nice!!!!! 👍🏻
Howdy Pat! Haha Doug was a quick guess on that one lol enjoyed the video as always 👍
Buick/Dr. Grabow Regal. Been loving this Dr. Grabow series of yours. As I’ve made clear, I’m a Dr. Grabow fan. Yes… I love my Savinelli pipes and others, but Dr. Grabow Pipes are what I consider, high quality affordable pipes, that in my opinion, smoke as good as any of my higher end pipes. Blessings to you and yours.
That’s it! Thanks! And thanks for watching!
Knew who you were talking about right away.
😉
What!?! I thought Doug’s fave was Distinguished Gentleman. I feel so disconnected. 😂
Hahaha he likes that too but CB platinum has taken over.
