Man, you described this one exactly as I see it: A "gourmet" Prince Albert, bready, dark cocoa, slightly sweet, smokes and "feels" like a good Virginia with smooth edges, etc. The Mrs. gave me a tin for my birthday and it's been a delight. I also get a bready note from Le Petit Robin and La Volute sometimes.
Hiking is my favorite cobblestone, Kentucky Plug is runner up, very nice blends indeed. Take a little sandpaper to the tip (lol, of the tamper). I think a .38 special make for a perfect size 😉😎🍂🔥💨
Love all the reviews. Thanks. I wish I had your palate, sure would make this hobby more enjoyable for me. I’m starting to notice that I’m not the only one though. 👍😃☀️🌵
Sounds like a decent smoke, wonder if it’s one we can get over here, probably not knowing our luck but I’ll definitely be looking it up. Enjoy the rest of your evening.
When I first reviewed it a couple years ago I sent them a message and asked what the components were because there was no reviews on this blend they told me straight burley but I have doubts
Glad you reviewed this one. It's been on my list to pick up for a bit. I keep seeing ppl compare it to Solani ABF. If you've had this blend, how does it compare? Great video as always.
Hiking is an excellent blend if one’s wheelhouse goes to Burley. Toasty, woodsy. Some mild pepper. A slight nutty profile. A slight sourness pervades the experience of the bowl but not in a distracting manner. Hints of cocoa as one often gets in Burley. The taste is steady, consistent, engaging. The retrohale is, indeed, woody, and I can totally see anyone who smokes while hiking grabbing for this blend. I disagree with the reviewers who believe this has a light topping. However, it is clearly cased. Some suggest the blend contains Kentucky and I would tend to Toasty, woodsy. Some mild pepper. A slight nutty profile. Anyone know the secret on how to easily open the HU Tobacco tins that are packed here in America? I’ve had to practically demolish the sides to break the vacuum seal. Back on topic, I picked up a few tins of Cobblestone Hiking to cellar this summer. Won’t have an opportunity to taste for a few years…so thanks for the review.
Murphy law Pally …
What could go wrong will go wrong. We make the best of all situations.
Thanks for sharing. Blessings from Pa….

Yep! And those are two other burleys I enjoy also!

Ahahah. I’ll do that! Good hearing from you buddy !!!
Thanks Pat! I hope the week gets better for you. 😊
It will. Just work stuff,
Definitely one of my favorites!
It holds up to some of the finest coveted burley flakes.
That tin was damn near codger proof.😂
Yes it was
I really like Hiking. I taste some dark fired Kentucky in it. Must be what gives it the outdoorsy flavor.
I think you’re correct on that.

Hahaha and that’s ok! 👍🏻
Good to see you, Pat.
Thanks for your thoughts on this one.
I haven’t had any of theirs yet, but I have Burley and Kentucky Plug waiting their turn.
Awesome.

Only beans can rip the lids off, I carry a small screwdriver
Yeah dually noted!
Baaahhhaaaa 😎
Soiunds like a nice blend! Hope your week gets a little better.
Thanks for the review, Pat! Sounds like a great tobacco! Take care and God Bless!
I need to get a few more tins. I don't smoke what I have of Hiking because I don't want to run out!
I totally understand
When I first reviewed it a couple years ago I sent them a message and asked what the components were because there was no reviews on this blend they told me straight burley but I have doubts
Yeah I did get a little bready notes but have gotten some from burley in the past. Either way it’s good!
Sounds awesome! 👍
😇
👍 sounds good and i like the tin art!
Enjoy your smokes!
You too!

The new recipe has way more anise in it but this has none of that, Solani is great stuff though!

Hahaha I had to use a flathead screwdriver on the hiking!
Uh oh. You just hit most of my markers for a good tobacco. 😮
Yep. You’d like this one….if you can get it open!🤣
@PaladinPiper 🤣
Hiking is good stuff! (The tobacco, not the activity)
🤣
Yummy
it sure is good!
Smoking some H H burley flake while listening to you.
Nice!
Good tobacco I like it.
Me too! Thanks for watching!
Everyone who's opinion I trust seems to like this one. I will try it sometime I guess.
Yep. Give it a go!
