Yes! Thank you for this Pat! I’ve been eyeing this blend, as I also fell in love with the Merry Monk… and Casbah and Loch Ness… one more thing to add to Santa’s list!
Thank you sir, I enjoyed this. Brings me back to my childhood in Meysey Hampton, England. A good number of my neighbors smoked these English blends. All my best. PS. You were so cool under fire. Brave man… 😉
Thanks, Pat, for your review and e planation of your grading system. I have thought about trying Dracquer & Sons blends The Merry Monk, Trsfalgar, and now Rule BriTANnia (named for the song). I am sure they are excellent tobaccos but if I were to get hooked, they are a bit above my price point. Happy puffing @
I would like to try that blend. It's out of my wheel house but it sounds good. I see in the background you have a 4X4. Is it a Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Toyota? Reason I am asking is because I am a big 4X4 fan. I have a Toyota Tacoma TRD 4X4 off road. Just curious. Thanks for the review!
Nice review. I have a question. It seems like several yt’ers are getting into blending and pressing. Does pressing a blend straight out of the tin / pouch (like BMP) change the characteristics of the blend?
I have found that when pressing an aromatic you lose some of the flavor because it presses the topping out. Otherwise I think the best tobaccos to press or VaPers and English blends. 😇
@@PaladinPiper Ya, I steer clear of Orientals and Latakia. Used to love them when I was a younger piper, but spicy blends and foods don't agree with me anymore. I'm now a Virginia, perique, burley, and aero smoker now a days.

Thanks Gary!
Sound like an interesting mix. That looks tricky lighting that church warden
It takes practice hahah
I'll put it on my list. I tried the Merry Monk after I saw your review. It's pretty good. Would I buy it again? Hell yeah!!! Thanks Pat.
😋
Once again I’ve not heard of this one. Amazes me how many tobacco brands are for sale.
Yep
Perfect pipe for the blend you choose. The long stem should nullify and tongue bite that tobacco will cause. 💨💨💨
Sounds interesting. If super light flavors I’d probably not be able to taste them. But I’d be willing to try it
It has a strong flavor
Profile
@PaladinPiper I'm gonna have to look into that one
Another new one. There are so many , here and abroad.
Yep.
Sounds like good stuff.
Sounds yummy 😊💨💨 have a great weekend!
I recently tried HU Khoisaan and it reminded me of Merry Monk but maybe smoother
Ohhhh really? Why did you tell me that? 😋🤣🫣

Im a newbie don’t take my word for it. I don’t think it has the same ingredients but it does have a sweet bbq smokey earthy thing going on

@ thanks. Like CJ says, “every day is a school day….”
If you are smoking and liking Merry Monk but say Rule Britannia is strongwhy do you like a much stronger blend if you are nicotine sensitive ?
I like the flavor strength but not the nicotine.
Never heard of this blend. English ..... I'm out ....... but thanks for your review Pat.
lol! I didn’t know you didn’t care for English blends!
