Happened to me once at a New Year’s party many years ago. Although I had also had too much strong Belgian beer with my cigar, so that was probably a unique factor. Fortunately the party was at a farm, so I expelled in the deep snow on the back pasture and no one was the wiser.
My cigar phase was very never focused. I'd enjoy them occasionally, and I have kept a 50 stick humidor since my mid-twenties. I have some sticks in there that are almost 20 years old now. Here in south Florida, cigars at home are a winter thing, when it's cool outside. Otherwise, we're at a cigar bar, and I am buying a fresh stick to support the business. Thanks for sharing your adventures with Hondo! Great stories of even greater memories.
@@Stillypapabear I think they are mylar which would be fine for long term storage. I know Sam at Doing it wrong almost stores all his blend in mylar for long term.
Great story! The nicotine hurls ain’t no joke. I only had them once but I’ll NEVER forget that feeling!🤢🤮 Good that y’all can look back and laugh about it.👍
I remember the first time I tried Copenhagen snuff. I was in high school and we were in my friend's car, a classic Thunderbird convertible. He dipped so I said, let me try that. Worst decision I ever made in my young life. At first it was ok and then.... it hit me hard! I rolled down the window, through it out and put my head out the window. And that was all she wrote!!!
I clicked hoping to hear another "what Hondo forgot to bring story", but will not leave disappointed!, lmao!. The first time I ever tried Dip tobacco- right after me and my two best friends turned 18 ( all within a month of each other ) we all started trying different tobacco. I was drawn towards cigars, and pipes, they liked cigars and dip. One day I let them talk me into trying some Grizzly Wintergreen dip. Well, within 2 to 3 minutes of tucking it in my lip i started projectile vomiting. So bad that I had to call in sick at my job at the local Wal-Mart that day AND THE NEXT!. To this day ( 16 years later ) the smell of Wintergreen ( even gum ) makes me nauseous. Thats also the only time I've ever gotten sick from a tobacco/nicotine product, even with all of the pipe blends, and cigars I've tried since then. Great story brother!
Good Afternoon 😊 Lovely Pipe 😍 Half n Half is Good 😋 Great Story Mate 💯 There Has Been Twice That I Had To Sleep After Smoking Blends , 1 Was My Uncles Tobacco Which I Received After His Passing and The Other One Was Irish Dew , The Nic Hit Knocked Me Out 😴 Later I Was Sick 🤢🤮 Have a Great Weekend & Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
Irish Flake was the first pipe tobacco to give the nic sick. Also, LFD Double Ligero cogar hit me hard and I had to stop. Never went as far as your friend did though.
Oh man that’s awful! Years ago, I used to bring a pouch of Red Man Golden Blend when camping with my friends. One night my buddy decided to try some for the first time. He put a big chew in his cheek, but unfortunately tried to drink a beer at the same time. His technique of drinking “around the chew” was a spectacular failure.
@ My buddy that got sick is one of the guys I still go camping with a couple times a year. My other friend & I love to remind him of when he barfed chewing Red Man!
Love the story and loved even more watching you laugh as you retell it! 😅
I couldn’t help it!🤣🤣🤣🤣

🤣
Wife and I bought a box of Pappy barrel fermented cigars for our son-in-law fir his birthday a few years back. He loved them.
They are a good stick!
@ got a question. Do you think I can cellar KBV tobaccos in their sealed pouches? Or should I empty the pouches into jars?
@@Stillypapabear I think they are mylar which would be fine for long term storage. I know Sam at Doing it wrong almost stores all his blend in mylar for long term.
@@PaladinPiper well, that’s good to know. Sounds like Sam is doing it right 😂
😂😂😂 Thankfully, I've never had a nic hit get that bad! Always keep some licorice around to head it off.
You’re lucky!!!!

Wow
Poor guy. Nicotine heaving is not pretty. Lol. Thanks for sharing.
Great story. I've only had 1 Cigar to date that has given me the "nic" hit like you have described. I hope I don't have many of them .
I’ll pray you don’t either!
@PaladinPiper thanks.
As I once read it described by Mark Twain, "He shouted Harrah without the H."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Been there almost did that. Chocolate is great for taming nicotine hits. Thanks for sharing buddy. Happy smokes
Yep. Haven’t we all!!?? Hahah
Hondo became the unhappy camper 😂
Yep!!!!
Poor Hondo! He must have been so miserable! I hope after he got sick it didn’t last too much longer.
Hahaha yeah he got better 😇🫣

Irish flake is super strong. I tried to fight it but lost
My most recent near “hruuuuah” experience was with some Epiphany. What a way to go. :)
Really!? Wow!!!
Never heard of a guy getting sick off a cigar. Ha. I am kidding of course. Ed
