Here in Brazil 100% ethanol or alchol as they call it here is available in every garage & flex cars are sold from new with full warranty & alchol is just over half the price of petrol, the only addition on flex cars is a plastic petrol container under the bonnet for cold & altitude starting , I've used 100% alchol on many cars & performance difference is virtually undetectable

my friend tested e5 and found it had almost no ethanol in it, so i always buy it. ive had problms with e10 eating lawnmower carbs, and car fuel pumps

Basically because you've got fuel hose that's been made this side of the year 2000, and you probably bought from a supplier that supplies with a British standard, which has been ethanol ready for a lot longer than 20 years. Anybody running original 50 year old pipe is going to have problems ethanol or not

One of our neighbours when I was a young boy had a friend who came from Sheffield to Buckinghamshire every year in a regal van done this for years never had a problem then changed it for a Renault 4

I had the same problem when refitting the engine to gearbox - it was on the driveshaft splines but would not go further. I fixed it using a spade as lever between the shelf (normally under the radiator) and the engine, It worked and what a relief. I only had a weekend to do the work, return the hoist and drive to work! I had to refit the engine with a broken finger, but that is another story.

great video. You described me to a tee. too cold for my motorbike going to college every day so bought a supervan about 45 years ago, qualified as a sparkie and used it for years travelling 40 miles a day. ended up with a scimitar SS1 which i hated LOL

Mine had to have a king pin and bush job fairly frequently, the bush would rotate and block the grease hole.

I had one in 1977 it was great went everywhere , all I remember was the freedom it gave me and my girlfriend very happy days.

1) For those with a left hand drive Moggie; it’s the same deal but on the left side of the gearbox. No funky linkage to the right side like the accelerator peddle. 2) Many thanks for the proper peddle travel measurements. It took me all of about 5 minutes to adjust on my 1955. 3) I’ve found that general area to be mostly self lubricating but I think I need to check a gasket now.
