Hi Richard, an emulsion / latex paint will require a larger orifice tip - typically an LP 515 or the max tip you can use in UQS, an FFLP 616 - an 515 you may need to thin 10% 👍 regards Pete 💙💯

Hello my friend.. it’s a product born out of Ultra QuickShot positive customer feedback. Now any airless paint sprayer can benefit from attaching an electronic gun - a GXFF for example, imagine a smaller hose setup, or even the Cordless model.. you’ve got yourself an Ultra QuickShot ‘big brother’ 💙⚡️ ..Trailing hoses and airless hose management is something all sprayers need to manage effectively.. everyone has a preference, I for example prefer smaller 3/16” lines with 1/8” whip hose.. Same as airless guns, pumps and a setup that suits the individual application - lots of choice in the Contractor PC gun range.. @@PaintHQ Yeah, would have been great if they have now worked on a new gun valve design that offers a "click" release/close mechanism that eliminates hand uncertainty. By opening or closing in milliseconds it would eliminate any unwanted spitting. Such gun would not require batteries or any special features on the pump. But hey, I'm not a Graco engineer...

Hello my friend.. interesting information, thank you for sharing.. I’ve not experienced any leaks as you describe - I’ve used the blue RAC X guards for a long time now, mostly with WB materials, using the ‘standard’ rubber seal and seat that comes with each tip 👍 Also I only tend to spray with LP / FFLP tips - so low pressure spraying.. Are you using the LP (now neon) and green FFLP tips?.. what sort of pressures are you at?.. Check the seat has the smaller orifice Vs the seat that comes with a blue PAA tip 🤔 keep in touch my friend.. regards Pete 💙💯

It’s an all encompassing balance between time / money (and comfort).. The quality of a sprayed finish will always earn more money and more jobs - no spits and heavy blasts of material spoiling a finish will save time and if you’re spraying all day - you’ll spray with less user fatigue, spraying in comfort.. great to hear from you my friend, hope you’re keeping well - appreciate your input.. regards Pete

Scuff-X for example will spray very nice 👌 What top coat are you thinking of using my friend?.. I try to match (not always) the top coat to primer, so Scuff-X would be BM Stix 👍👍 In my videos, you may see me using a lot of AkzoNobel high build primer (099 I believe is the latest code), great on mdf and new timbers 👍 keep in touch.. regards Pete

Hey buddy 🙏 That’s a common question.. I don’t typically back roll, well not for the reason of lap marks - I’ll back roll if there’s a risk of following trades marking / damaging the finish.. to eliminate lap marks - I spray a matt / durable matt finish (durable has a hint of sheen). I ensure good technique (10-12” away from wall and keeping gun square.. Plus and importantly, 50% overlap and low pressure (using low pressure tips) - you want a completely‘wet’ wall, just like rolling, where it will dry down beautifully 👌 This video may help with preparation and tip selection.. @PaintHQ thanks for getting back to mate. I'll check the video out. I sprayed using 310 fflp graco scuff x matt. It's 90% bang on. Just in places I got this issue. But the finish is unreal. Suppose its more time with the gun and picking tip up from yourself. Thanks again 👍

@PaintHQ I think I've got a 514. But it was only small half walls separated by dado Rail. I was using the ultra quick shot. Is that size tip OK in quickshot? Wasn't sure it could handle it.

Hello my friend, I’m happy to help and advise if I can.. Good question 👍 It’s a good idea to flush using warm water (just out the tap).. no need to go too hot, I don’t think there would be a problem, but just keep it warm - hot out the tap.. The floor protection I use is a plastic backed fleece, here’s the European link on Amazon - hope it still works to at least give you an idea on the product.. amzn.eu/d/fX0SgY6 More suited to hard floors, and in that application I find it better and more reusable than the card / thick paper floor protection.. Hey buddy, congratulations on your investment 👏👏👏 It’s actually the opposite with airless spraying - you can’t comprehend the amount of paint that’s let out and my advise is to more relatively quick on the first coat to gauge the amount of coating. Plus don’t be tempted to go over and over, you’ll get a run.. a little patience, let the first coat dry down and then coat up again 👍 keep in touch, happy to help if I can.. regards Pete

Short answer, without doubt.. the Ultra QuickShot 👌 I’d say to anyone thinking of investing in Graco Cordless / Handheld technology, if the budget can stretch - invest in the QuickShot, you won’t regret it.. however if after weighing up the options and the Ultra Handheld model suits your needs (small projects, manoeuvrability of the gun is not a problem).. it’s a great handheld unit, Triax II pump is an improvement and good value for an incredible airless finish 👍💙💯 regards Pete

I’m a beginner when it comes to the science and application regarding sprayers and tips but I feel like this fast forwarded my knowledge and I can make better decisions now instead of guessing. I have a question and this might be out of your wheelhouse but I’m purchasing a new sprayer for myself for light professional remodeling duty. I have experience with the Graco x5 and that works perfect for my uses. I’m wondering what your thoughts are on those Titan/wagner control max entry level sprayers. I was leaning towards them with a RAC X guard and FFLP tips. Those sprayers are only meant for their HEA tips and have a max pressure of around 1600 psi which according to your videos would be more than enough for FFLP/ LP tips. I definitely wouldn’t be going near 300 gallons a year probably closer to 100-125 gallons a year so pretty light duty compared to others. I’d just need to buy a RAC X guard and tips and the Wagner has a 7/8 thread so that shouldn’t be a problem. The price on them is a little better than Gracos and and if I’m sticking to FFLP/LO tips I wouldn’t need the higher psi of the graco
