The Warrior catcher is still the best catcher that my kiddos have used playing goal. They have used CCM and Bauer. A sports store that also sells baseball gloves should also be able to soften the catcher you like the most for you. I used to recommend, to my goalies, all white goalie gear as the players are just looking for open net to score on aka white ice.

You might want a Rocket sport UV dryer, dries gear quickly then you can put back in your hockey bag. As a mom of two goalies and a dad who goes out as defence, it was the best Airmiles rewards redemption I made. If you ever come to Canada bring your gear and tryout an Eli Wilson goalie camp, one of the best guys in the business. Have a great time as a goalie!

Bummer about the case! I remember Fender used to make "universal" cutouts - I own the AM Pro II in Miami blue as well and surprisingly haven't tried to fit my jag in there. Good to know! She sounds great though!

Its sad that i never get to Buy such things, i did not have the money when the Old signature models came and i still dont have the money for this one. u_u the nicest basses i own are limited edition Squiers and my self modified Squier Jazz Basses with PJ- Configuration Seymour Duncans and Gotoh bridges. :) why did i even botter going a University for? lol I wish you lots of Fun with your basses they luck so amazing!!!

Fender has been saving the miami blue for their high end instruments. It's a gorgeous color!

Great vid! Don’t forget the pickups aren’t technically “reversed” the bridge pickup is actually brought up closer to the neck. So they appear inverted, but actually the EA pickup is in the exact same location and the DG pickup is brought above it and closer to the neck. This also contributes significantly to the change in sound! You can tell if you look at a player jag and compare the pickup locations. This Hoppus bass is fantastic and I’ve been playing mine nonstop, the tone is excellent!

Quick Update: I took the True gear to a Stick and Puck and did NOT like the glove at all. The shape of the pocket is really nice, but the stiffness/break angle/ and overall feel were not up my alley. Stick handling was weird too because I felt it put a lot of pressure specifically on my thumb rather than my whole hand when trying to make long passes/clears. So I returned the True's I kept the Warriors because they were so cheap on sale and I can rely on what I 'm getting. But I also ordered a Vaughn SLR4 Pro glove just to try...and I'm REALLY impressed. It has a 60 degree break, which I've never used but fits my hand really well. It seems to be the winner for me!

It’s kinda crazy but I’ve been eyeing both of these basses for a while now. The pbass is on sale for around $1485 w/hardshell case I know they’re completely different but if you could only choose one, which would you keep ? I’m kinda thinking although I love the look and the sound of Mark’s bass the pbass might be more versatile. What do you think? Awesome review, thank you!

According to a reliable luthier, weather acclimation only matters when you're going from extremes. So if it's -30° outside or 120° then ok, let it sit, if it came from a 70° location to a 75° location then just open the damn thing 😂

I think the 0% interest financing on places like Sweetwater is amazing, but also can be dangerous. My advice, NEVER layer these promotional offers haha do ONE AT A TIME.

I have one too. I have the old version too. It's lovely but not worth the money honestly. The tones you can get from an active musicman sub for £350 is the best/closest hoppus sound I've found. Looks 10/10 though I'm happy with it.

If it’s in the car, it freezes in MN. If you open it up before a half hour the gloss finish on the bass cracks all over the black/red/blue/colored paint. It’s fine, my friends is perfect after he did that 40 years ago. We always set the guitars in cases for 30 minutes during the winter (I moved to FL just now, don’t have to deal with that). Also being on the truck can f’ with the temperature.

Hoppus is a great player. I prefer Precision necks so it seems like the original signature model would be more to my personal taste. That blue Pbass you have is just about the coolest I have ever seen. So unique! And I've been looking at basses for YEARS! You have a new subscriber here. Your wife is just lovely and you are so fortunate to have a supportive housemate! My wife is also supportive. God bless them both!

i would pick the new warrior and new true and then brake them both in and then use one as game glove (warrior) then use the true as practice glove and i play goalie almost every day i practice but thats just me my gear sucks and is already broken in so that could e one thing

A blocker is a blocker. Get one that feels good that is the same color as your set and save a couple hundred dollars.

I'm also pretty new to the position, but I've had opportunities to use some True and Warrior gear on "test rides." Personally True is more comfortable and I feel it performs better. Gloves will pretty much always feel stiff new, and there's a couple pretty good ways to break them in that aren't too difficult or time consuming. I'm also a big fan of double-t pockets because I feel like I can see the puck better in them. I wear basically all Bauer gear currently so I can't say much about the long-term.

Tom, I’m sorry that I can’t really help. The closest I ever got to playing hockey was broom hockey for fun with come college friends back in the late 1960s. Have fun.

Happy belated Thanksgiving Tom. I’m just about to sit down and have my family dinner. My cousin said he always liked the Warrior gear, but the True gear is a nice option too (he also said sorry he wasn’t able to give a deciding answer).

I have the same american 2 bass in dark night. I added quater pounder pickups with ernie ball cobalt strings. It is perfect now.

You fortunate you not in the tropics. The high atmospheric moisture/relative humidity means lenses not stored in airtight cabinets grow mould which eats away the coating. On cameras, the pesky fungus stains the mirrors. You use mirrorless? Fungus attacks the display.

The color of the Mark Hoppus bass is Sea Foam Green. It's not Surf Green. BTW, this is a killer review of the bass.

It’s officially listed as “Sea Foam Green” by Fender, but that finish has always fluctuated slightly with different interpretations. I do love this particular shade of Sea Foam, though. I own this one myself and it looks great in person and through photography / film. Very happy you got one for yourself to enjoy! Keep rockin’, Tom. is is Surf Green or Sea Foam Green? They are definitely different - I love Sea Foam Green and the Mark color is so superior! Great bass
