Thank you so much!❤🫶🏼
Can you show how to position suspender buttons on men's pants that have an elastic stretch band in the front. Thank you for this very clear video presentation and demonstration.
@@kareemahmullen8940 Hi, thank you for the question. I honestly don't see the point in using suspenders with elastic bands. Suspenders are mostly used on classical trousers in combination with side adjusters (it helps to avoid using belts). Elastic band is a more casual option and it's purpose is to fit a waist without any additional help (unlike stiffer classical waistbands) But, if you for some reason want to use braces with casual trousers, the marking principle is the same.
@@BESPOKEEDUCATOR The gentleman's trousers have expandable waistbands with a 3" elastic band (on either side) extending from the side belt loop. If I align the first button with the crease/belt loop, there is barely 2" for the next button, or it runs into the elastic. Any suggestions?
Thank for this tutorial. I am currectly finishing a linen pleated trouser with my side tabs. My first time making and (soon) using side tabs so I am excited to try them out. Cheers!
Thank you for the feedback, it makes me very happy 😊
@@BESPOKEEDUCATOR I finished my trouser a few days ago, the sidetabs work perfectly. I don't know how I ever went without them hahah
@@k13m13 Awesome, that make me so happy. 🤩
Great clarity and useful too. Have a question. Nowadays I find an elastic adjustable waist in readymade trousers. How would you compare that to this kind of buckle adjuster? Thanks.
Hi, thank you for the question. Trousers with half-elasticated waistband are usually called 'Yoga Pants\Trousers'. They may have a cut and all the attributes nd finishing of classical trousers but the back part of waistband is made with elastic to fit most waists without any additional help like side-adjusters (unlike stiffer classical waistbands that sometimes have to be tightened with belt or adjusters\tabs). Sometimes such trousers go with beltloops. But if you have elastic waistband, there is no need in adding side-adjusters beacause they will be literally pointless, the ribon does all the work.
@@BESPOKEEDUCATOR Thanks
Your instructions are easy to understand. Now I'll be searching for shirting fabric to practice those darts. Thank you for publishing another great video tutorial.

Hi! What's the best brand for professional tailors measuring tape?😊
Hi, I would say it is a matter of taste and...the variety that is avaliable at your local or on-line sewing stores. I have been using a double-sided Prym 150 cm (60 Inch) measuring tape for years now and I had to replace it only twice I guess, I lasts long without fading even with the everyday use.
neat and perfect congrats!!!!! please do a sew along for a zipper. there are so many ways i saw zippers sewn on trowsers but there was only one video for bespoke tailoring i really could follow and hat a neat finish to it, but it is deleted. is there a specific way to sew zippers on bespoke trowsers?
Thank you for the feedback. 🙌🏻 The principle of making a fly is basically the same for jeans and for tailored trousers, only the complexity and a way of finishing differes. DM me for the fly tutorial.

Hi, what do you mean? Do I sell trousers?
Excellent tutorial -- clear instructions, incredible close-ups! Beautiful examples, too. Thank you!

Hi! Thanks for the video! I have a question tho- since I'm putting the lining why not just assemble lining pieces and then trouser pieces following all of these steps except overlocking them together ? I don't really like the idea of having both lining and overlock, it seems redundant, and I thinks it's possible to avoid overlock completely. Is there any specific reason why overlocking them together would be better option than without? Many thanks!
Hi, interesting question. May I ask, why so you think overlocking is redundant?
@@BESPOKEEDUCATOR Hey thanks for the reply! Well, im still learning all of this but in my mind overlocking is a type of finishing and lining, apart from few other beneficial aspects, is also a type of finishing/ protecting unfinished edges, so if i put a lining i would consider overlocking an extra step thats not necessary. Another thing is also the aesthetic of the garment, because lining is very elegant/expensive finishing and overlock very casual. I think my question was mostly due to the fact that in your assembly you use lining but allow overlock to be seen, and id rather hide it... :)
@@mikka9272 ah, I get it then. In this case you may use the bias binding instead of overlocker. But in my opinion finishing trouser edges with bias binding looks great but not always practical. Some cloths with high Super numbers, are quite fine, light and delicate and bias banding may bulk up the edges and then leave the imprint after ironing. So, overcasting with a special fine texturized overlocking thread could be a better option in most cases.
Amazing video, A few weeks back I made a two-layer cotton pocket square, but it came out a little too thick, looks good for morning or evening wear, next time I use a much thinner fabric.
Thank you! Yeah, you are right using chiffon or silk bias binding is a bit harder but it is totally worth it, the piping gets much thinner and elegant + silks usually have incredible colors and prints.
Thank you so much for such a great tutorial. Please keep uploading more and more videos for us❤😊🎉 and could you please make a dedicated video showing precisely how to Basten and sew the wristband of the trousers?
Thank you for your feedback! I am now making three niew videos, stay tuned. 👍🏻 If you need a full waistbad tutorial DM or e-mail me. 🤝

Great video, Would there be an issue if I were to stitch on a complete pair of trousers?
Thank you. You could, yes. So, the only things is that you'll get two vertical row of stitching on the inside of your wasitband (giving that all the rest you will slipstich).
That is so neat, thank you for tutorial! Will definitely try it. Do you have any tips for contour darts?
Check out my other video on shirt darts, I hope it will be helpful: ua-cam.com/video/nVWB8qzH7Zs/v-deo.html
Was having this problem yesterday and now have a way to solve it!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
It's so nice to hear that the video did what it was meant to do, I am so happy 🙌🏻
This is a great tip for bespoke tailoring. One thing I've learned as a sewist is to take my time when sewing darts. I've never used a back stitch for darts. I learned to sew them well by drawing out my dart mark and use a basting to ensure they are aligned. I start at the widest part is the dart using a standard stitch. Once I get close to the end of the dart, I tighten the stitch length in increments. That has always rendered me a perfectly sewn dart in any garment. Of course pressing and a clapper is a must to finish off the process.

Hello what is the ruler you use? Don't think I have ever seen one similar to yours when looking online.
It is very common one: www.amazon.com/KUYYFDS-Graduation-Patterns-Clothing-Template/dp/B0C3M81DSM/ref=sr_1_11?crid=3VK0OZFOVNXH0&keywords=tailors+ruler+for+sewing&qid=1707311791&sprefix=tailors+ruler%2Caps%2C214&sr=8-11 Google 'tailoring curved ruler' and it will pop up eventually.
This was excellent! Thank you so much for taking the time to create such clear instructions.
