The "computer" that the aliens made was built, according to the "historical documents," to only respond to the Ensign. If any other crew member wants information, they ask her. If she does not know, she asks the computer. Then, as unnecessary as it is, she relays the computer-provided information to the crew. It is her one job, dammit, and she is going to do it. But as the storylune progresses, she hoes on an away mission then accompanies the Captain to check out the device.

"Half Pint" (Sully) is, indeed, the dude who says, "Warriors! Come out to play-ay!" in The Warriors (1979). Bennett is tougher to recognize. He was the Mohawk wearing dude in Mad Max II: The Road Warrior and also in Weird Science. If you get a chance, watch Raw Deal starring good ole Arnie. Not the best film of all, but still a great, cheesy 80's action flick! He takes on "The Mob!"

I love this movie. One of Arnold’s best movies.

This is like the most 80's action movie ever made.

The remake is neither as funny, gory nor engaging as the original. It is just a poorly made horror film. I would recommend Fright Night 2 (sequel to the original) instead. It is the things that the remake isn't, just a tiny bit less so than the origginal. Still, the sequel is well worth a watch.

Late to the party, as usual... My absolute favorite line from this movie is a throwaway joke: "Freedom costs a buck O five." Why is it I always find the throwaway jokes to be the funniest?

Almost 40 years later. Can you believe it?! A pure, hardcore action extravaganza. From Joel Silver, producer of Lethal Weapon and The Matrix. The beginning of Arnold in quinessential action mode and defining his legacy for the genre. Plenty of shoot outs without reloading, outlandish explosions, unbelievable kills and one liners galore. This was Arnold's next iconic role after The Terminator and 1 of 2 films he did in 1985. Alysaa Milano (Jenny) made this movie before doing the sitcom, Who's The Boss. Rae Dawn Chong (Cindy), daughter of Tommy Chong was such a darling of the 1980s films. For some reason they had a director's cut of this movie when one scene was cut down to a few seconds (kinda stupid). Arnold was friends and rivals with fellow icon Sly Stallone. They always tried to outdo each other. Same year, Sly was in Rambo:First Blood part II and Arnold was in Commando. Konami's CONTRA video game series was influenced by both with the characters resembling John Matrix & John Rambo. RIP to Bill Paxton (Intercept Officer) and composer James Horner. 2 other good films from director Mark Lester is Stephen King's Firestarter (1984) with Drew Barrymore and Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991) with Dolph Lundgren & Brandon Lee.

6:30 when it comes to Dan Hedaya, he does some of the worst accents in all of the films he’s been in, but he’s enjoyable to watch at the same time. During my first run of this film, I didn’t understand what he was saying to Arnie, but then looking back I understood what he was saying. However, he still had one of the worst accents in Commando anyway, but at the same time he sounds so believable to me. 12:35 that dude literally pulled his gun and started firing at the cops, I’m like “What the hell are you doing? They weren’t there for you man.” He just got himself killed for no reason. 24:41 And I couldn’t agree more with Bennett’s outfit. I’ve watched other reactors for Commando and they absolutely hate the outfit Bennett’s wearing, not to mention Bennett himself as a villain wasn’t taken seriously at all. At least his death was satisfying with one of the greatest one liners from Arnold. Loved your reaction by the way
