He hasn't done much in a while though, as he just turned 68 years old last month. Someone's probably already mentioned this, but Connery's character is basically James Bond, under an alias.

That's really a thing from way before our time, and I've only ever seen it maybe once or twice in real life, I don't know, maybe not even, maybe I've only ever seen it on TV, but I guess hotels would sometimes have those retractable clothes lines where the end would anchor into a thing on the wall, so I guess you could wash something in the bath or sink, and hang it up to dry, preferably over the bath tub? Something like that.

One thing I miss from action movies from the 90's and early 2000's was the adrenaline. It just went from zero to 100 in an instant and barely stopped till the end. I remember seeing action movies like this in the cinema and was drained when the credits started rolling. The Rock is ultimate dumb fun and I love every single second of it.

80's & 90's (and maybe a little bit of early 00's) we were spoiled for wonderfully ridiculous action movies, seeing titles like this, Blade, Con Air etc in the cinema was peak enjoyment.
The Hummer owner was played by Hans Struhar. At the time, he was basically Connery's personal costumer, but he went on to work on many other movies including Kill Bill and a few other Nicolas Cage movies.

@Thrill Cast is amazing, the movie has more heart then most boom boom explosions films, and the plot is sad and understandable. This is the ONLY Michael Bay film I own, I never see that changing lol. The chemistry between Cage and Connery is spot on too. Was a treat to see this become a beloved gem to you. I re did the bell thing as was not getting your feed so hopefully that fixes it :)

Man this film gave me such fear of epinephrine syringes and you would have to inject in your heart... Then in military I was given the real epinephrine syringe to carry around, which was just a epipen. Still... Years of fear.
Yeah the tumbler was actually a bluff. Its made to look like a motion sensor that uses beams so someone would move it like the marines did but in actuality its a motion sensor that responds to being moved.

One of the greatest Action Movies of All-Time. Obviously because of the action, but also because it portrays the "Villains" to be (mostly) honourable men fighting the injustice of the American Military Industrial Complex and Propaganda Machine the only way that is left to them. Plus, Connery and Cage are Motherforkin' Hilarious Bad-Asses, and the rest of the cast is absolutely stacked. And yes...Michael Bay....Boom Boom Boom!😁
I love The Rock... but i have never in my life heard anyone suggest that this is a movie people "should have seen." If you were of age, and interested in action movies within a one to two year span of when it was released... then and only then would i "expect" that you've seen this movie.
