Everyone in this looks like they were having a ton of fun, I love it! Sorry about the watermark (I know, I know), but sometimes you just know when there's nothing you can do, and it works, so 😂 Hope you guys like it!
@@DocLunarwindAgreed - definitely one of my favorite John C. Reilly films. Also, as a music major, I appreciated how well the music side was handled. Reilly and his band of onscreen performers did so much preparation and he even did a live performance set to promote the film. :)
Well when there's nothing else you can do, you've just got to do what you have to do, and you got it did... And not getting it did would make you last, which means you're first... And if you're first that makes you the winner, we should all thank the sweet baby Jesus for that. That's words to live by right there, and I never knew I could write something so beautiful.... Lol
"Don't you put that evil on me!!!" RIP to Michael Clark Duncan. What a great talent and good person we lost with him. He's also very funny in Slammin Salmon (a Broken Lizard comedy)
I already mentioned that Walk Hard is another really funny John C Reilly film but I forgot to mention that if you want more John Candy, then possibly his funniest film is Who’s Harry Crumb. Has a couple short parts that didn’t age well, but it’s really, really funny despite that.
"If you ain't first, you're last." Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Jake Johnson, Luke Bigham, Houston Tumlin, Grayson Russell, and Austin Crim. Casting Notes Fact: Gary Cole and Jane Lynch portray Will Ferrell's parents despite being only eleven and seven years older than him, respectively. NASCAR Introduction Fact: Cal (John C. Reilly), Ricky (Will Ferrell), and Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen) were all introduced during driver introductions at the 2005 UAW Ford 500 at Talladega. Ricky and Cal were cheered, but when Girard was introduced as a driver from France driving the Perrier car, the entire crowd started booing without any prompting. Cameos Cameos Fact: Various NASCAR drivers and broadcast personalities make an appearance as themselves. Dale Jarrett, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart, J. J. Yeley, Jason Leffler, Brian Vickers, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Boris Said, Tony Raines, Mike Wallace, Kerry Earnhardt, Jeff Green, Jamie McMurray, Mike Joy, Darrell Waltrip, Larry McReynolds, Dick Berggren, Bill Weber, Benny Parsons, Wally Dallenbach Jr., Bob Jenkins, and Rick Benjamin. Product Placement Fact: Wonder Bread, Old Spice, and Perrier were not charged for their product placement in the movie. Old Spice and Wonder Bread promoted the movie through back-end deals, while Perrier was not required to take any action despite its presence in the movie. In addition, Will Ferrell showed up to many public appearances in his Wonder Bread uniform at no additional charge to the company. Other product placements shown in the movie were: Powerade, Coca Cola, Domino's, Nextel, Nascar, Valvoline, Budweiser, Lowe's, Ford, Sprint, Applebee's, Good Year, and Fig Newton.
Barely started watching this, but just when I thought you couldn't be more awesome, you throw some Mitch Hedberg in there. You've officially earned a devoted fan for life
@@RhetoricalThrill I had friends who for my birthday had business cards made so that I could drop them at restaurants to win free lunches. Under my name and contact info, they said, "Potential lunch winner". One of the best gifts I've ever received and thanks to Mitch (RIP) for the idea.
Oh hells yeah, this is going to be a GREAT reaction. Will Ferrell did my absolute favorite movie of all time, Stranger than fiction, and it's one of his only serious roles. He is so great in it
Will Farrell and John C. Reilly are quite simply magic, every time you put them in the same film. Those two could make a movie about crashing an insurance seminar and it would be funny.
Definitely worth the wait. :) Thanks for helping my fiancée and me have a fun evening. We finally watched your review of The Great Outdoors on Sunday right after I showed her the film for the first time - though a re-watch for me. We originally tried on Saturday but the power went out for 21 hours so your reviews helped to put a smile on our face twice the last couple days.
I didn’t know there was another, they’re not good at telling you that 😑 it didn’t say anything special so I’m guessing I didn’t. Will have to check it out!

I recommend Walk Hard: the Dewey Cox story (long version) for more John C Rieley
You should try watermarking the copyright people... only NOT with water!

The scene where Reese Bobby picks up and then scalps the tickets is maybe my favorite Gary Cole moment ever. And that is saying an awful lot.
I can’t believe how I fell for it 🤣 Gary Cole is such an underappreciated genius
