If it helps at all, at least half of the reactors I've watched (and I've watched dozens) make the exact same mistake. The showrunners did a great job of putting the viewer in Jinx's confused headspace for that initial moment, but could have done better to provide reliable, unambiguous evidence that it wasn't Vi (Jinx says "it wasn't her" but this could be read as denial, Silco says "your sister's gone" but this could be read as deception, dismissal, or "you shot her, it's over, and you need to move on"). Personally, I was confused exactly what happened until they revealed Vi in prison.
This story is so dense with information you can easily miss large portions on a single pass. I suggest watching and forming your opinion then watching again for support of that opinion. Then read differing opinions of the story, then re-watch a third time fully and honestly looking for supporting information of that differing viewpoint. You will be really surprised that BOTH viewpoints are correct at the same time, it just depends on your native viewpoint, on weather your brain flipped the coin and got heads, or got tails.
@@BlackShardStudio The full-body shot of the two of them together in the purple flames (3:55) is a good tipoff, as the pink-haired girl looks smaller and skinnier than Jinx - which would be a weird switch between their sizes in Act 1, where Vi is the bigger of the two. At least that's how I knew on my first watch. (Notice at 29:55 that Vi is indeed slightly taller and significantly more muscular than Jinx)

While Vi was about to die and Cait had to stop it, she also had no information about anything that was going on here. For all that Cait knew, Vi picked a fight with an innocent that was being a bit too violent in retribution so she stopped the violence in the most peaceful way she could. Cait has no idea who Sevika is or if she's even ever done anything wrong at that point, it's implied Vi fills her in as they're walking between Ep 5 and 6.
I feel like Jinx's reaction to Vi at the end makes a lot more sense when you think about Silco's speech to Vander in episode 3. He talks about how he hated Vander after his betrayal, but as time passed his hate faded and he found he still respected Vander, until he started making peace with enforcers Pretty much exactly what happened in this scene
Even better when that’s the set up for the episode and then in the end of the episode we get the answer when we see Cait shoot, not to take a life but to save one. Chef’s kiss

Things always have two sides. Everyone feels positive about the hextech, it means progression, fancy magic and the future. But it can be lifetaking weapons in the wrong hands. Everyone feels negative about shimmer, it's toxic, addictive and destructive. But it can be medical treatment in a small portion. It all depends on how people using them.

@@RhetoricalThrill everybody is always blaming Jinx for things she didn't do or isn't responsible for. Even the heist in episode 1 was going downhill without her dropping the crystal (and she didn't know those were dangerous anyway). The only people defending her are Vi and Silco.

It's interesting you missed a somewhat easier plot point (many people get confused at first about the "pseudo-Vi", but once Jinx talks to Silco about "the girl with pink hair" they realize it wasn't really Vi), but unlike pretty much any other reactor I've seen you figured out immediately where the shimmer came from (most everyone seems to miss the use of the purple palette on Rio, the salamander). So, if it serves as some consolation, I'd say it's a tie. :D Now, another hint (this is not a spoiler, as this is supposed to be an established plot point since the fourth episode - and someone on your Patreon likely already pointed it out): I'm not sure, since your reaction to him was a bit ambiguous, but you may also have missed that the new sheriff, Marcus, was Grayson's lieutenant, the guy who made that first deal with Silco and captured Vi at the end of Act 1. Anyway, it's great you're enjoying the show - can't wait for season 2 myself. Cheers!

One possible interpretation for the blue cloud tattoos Jinx has is that they represent the blue flare Vi gave her all those years ago, that gave us that dramatic and beautiful moment in E6. In which case, Powder has always been calling out for Vi.

You would think with it being related to Steampunk I wouldn't like it, but it's one of my favorite anime films. That dates me, since it's a 2004 film and most young anime fans haven't heard of it. I was 22 in 04, so I was in my 20's back then. Anyway, not a fan of steampunk, but if it's done right it can be enjoyable.

The guys who sold Vi to Silco was in the bar in episode 1. He had a deal and his partners tried to scam him but Vander intervened.
