Cleaning Dirty Carbs on Johnson 40 Outboard Motor

  • The customer stated that it would idle but as soon as he tried to get up to speed it would break-up. I removed the carbs and found the issue.

    Ok, missed the reason for watching the video, cover picture showing a problem. Where is it in the video?

      I thought I had filmed the issue but during editting I found that I had not and the boat was back with its owner. The pickuo tube had become super clogged with old fuel from it sitting for a while. Once cleared it ran fantastic. Sorry for not showing it properly guy

      We used to be from jackson but recently we moved to minneapolis. Love me some mississippi though spent most of my life there.

    Love How every video on this fast-forwards through the installation process and just focuses on the rebuild of the carb. You would think 100 videos on UA-cam about this is enough but I guess not. It would be nice if you could find a good video on the whole thing you know like a 10 minute video on 10 minutes of installing it. Every video is an hour and a half of some guy, talking and bullshitting and then fast forwarding through we’re actually trying to see.
