I see all of the troubles in her life as KARMA, coming back to bite her. I went to elementary school & part of Junior High with Valerie when her family lived in Clarkston, Michigan. She was a horrible bully who terrorized me & a few other students. I still feel pain in my eye from a scratched cornea from one of the times Valerie attacked me. Her family lived in an upscale area - Walters Lake. There was a beach close to it. There was no sign or fence saying it was private, it was wide opened. Valerie harassed people walking on the road, past her house to get to the beach. She would come out of her house, yell at people, saying they were trespassing & she was going to call the cops. When Valerie was going to be moving with her family to California, it made the students she had tormented so happy! We hoped she never came back.
She was a mean bully who tormented me & a few other students at Bailey Lake Elementary & Sashabaw Jr High when she lived in Clarkston Michigan. The trouble in her life might be karma for all the kids she bullied.
I had a major crush on her in the late 70s, watched One Day At A Time just to see her, and then lost track of her when my first girlfriend took all my time away from watching TV. I was peripherally aware of her marriage to EVH, but other than that, I knew nothing about her until just now watching this. Pressures from society can really mess with anyone, and multiply that exponentially for a celebrity. So I'm truly happy for her and amazed that she has found happiness within herself despite the circus her life must have been. Keep pushing on, Valerie. The world can be intimidating at times, and all we can do is keep being ourselves and do the best we can.
dear sweet Valerie! I had to get my pen and planner out and rewind something's you said that I related to do succinctly! I was 'so busy hating myself and noticing the people that hated me... that I didn't enjoy all the people that were so loving and wonderful in my life! thank you for not hiding yourself away from us, we would miss your glow! I tend to hide myself and say no to life. denying myself and others the gifts if love. I will read your book with excitement and please continue to 'claim your joy' and 'be the joy'. I love you Valerie. ❤️ your interviewer is right on too!
So awesome! I love her. I grew up watching her on ODAAT and we’re the same age. She speaks truth. Finally, someone in Hollywood speaking truth about weight and self shaming which was drilled into us as teenagers. Thank you Valerie 🥰😍😘
You can’t control the way other people feel. There comes a point in one’s life that we realize our true priorities and finally let these toxic people go. When you finally come to this realization, you will enjoy what matters most-your son, your family and those true blue friends that love you. They respect you and accept you for who you are. It’s amazing how wonderful life is around good and positive people.
Wow, Valerie this is so amazing and helpful. You are very strong and smart. I have never heard such intelligent thoughts. I lost my husband 22 months ago and couldn’t figure out the world Ai was left in. I am 74 and have had trouble finding myself. I want to get your book now. You don’t know how helpful this video is to me. This is a strange world we live in right now. Thank you for sharing all these personal things with us. Life does go on. I loved my man even with a lot of ups and downs. I have been lost. Take care and a God bless. I have always watched your shows.
I have always adored & admired Valarie, we're roughly the same age I'm 60 she's almost 62. She's never done one thing I haven't loved, respected or related to. Same work ethic, never thinking you're good enough. Plus she also reminds of my darling beautiful wonderful daughter-in-law one of my best friends in the world. I will be getting this book!!!!!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖💋
What a jewel in being so transparent and vulnerable. Valerie's opennness of tge reality of one's life where it's not a cookie cutter fabulous life with rainbows, all things good, and everything falling into place is refreshing. Thank You Valerie...May you blossom daily🌄🌻🦋
I really enjoyed listening to this video. You are an amazing women. Thank you for speaking out about your personal struggles, especially with weight. There are so many of us ladies that are going through the same issues with “not feeling good enough”, including myself. I wish you all the best.
Valerie you will probably never read this, but you are so right, and true to self. It is ALL we need to be. You show it, inspire in it. Thank you, it’s not for nothing. It has reached us, thank you for being you. We are not what people think of us, ever. We just are. You are wonderful.
June 14, 2022: Thanks for sharing your life and talent Valerie. Know you miss Eddie very much! My mom was a beautiful person who was mistreated by my dad too....ALL the time. P.S. Earlier today, I shopped at Market Street and was so annoyed at the stares (what did I do?), that I walked up to the young lady and reminded her of the lasting effects of a camera. Love, Katryna Amarillo, TX
Valerie, I see you as such a bold, honest, well developed woman, who loves learning from life, no matter how you had to learn it from! MAY GODS WORD BE A LIGHT FOR YOU AND WOLFIE! MAY THE WAVES AND TIDES THAT COME WITH LIFE, JUST BE THE CHALLENGES, DIFFICULTIES, AND OR OBTACLES THAT CAN BE DEALT WITH, BY LETTING GODS HEART, FINGERS AND HANDS BE ALL MESHED, WITH YOURS AND WOLFIES! I LOVE HOW YOU HONOR THE LOVE, THAT YOU HOLD FOR WOLFIES FATHER, A LOVE YOU WORKED IN, AND YOURSELF! "GOD OF THE 3RD HEAVEN, STILL REINS" 😇🥰😍 GOD LOVES YOU AND WOLFIE!!!!!!!!!!!!❤
Check out Dr Jason Fung's videos and books. Excellent. Also intermittent fasting. Gin Stephens books also excellent. Both work and a combo, well you will lose weight.
She's so right. People can be soon cruel about weight gain especially when a woman was gorgeous and married to a rock legend at one time. It's just jealousy of the poor girl. I don't have the public eye glaring but on a much smaller scale I totally identify.
Sensitive women with a public presence, consider getting someone else to deal with social media/internet. Only show you what's constructive to show. I haven't weighed myself in 35 years. I tell doctors I used to go on too many diets to discourage them from telling me my weight or making a big deal out of it. I learned not to eat emotionally by taking time to identify the feeling, and expressing it. Journaling, audio-blogging, artwork, calling support lines all helped. In retrospect seeing a therapist or having other professional help would have been good. 💗
How can we love others as ourselves, if we don’t love ourselves? We need to learn self love, not just feeding ourselves but nourishing our spiritual and natural selves.
She could definitely eat healthier. So could Wolfgang. She's a good cook, but cooks foods loaded with fat, sugar and higher calories. You can eat those food sometimes. Just not all the time. Good luck to them. She's still pretty.
encumberence written in paper work results. you can let youself go. didnt get that done like i thought oh weell got thick stack of papers written? creativity not so methodical.
She's nice enough. I think Valerie is very unhappy lady. She is trying to convince herself she is happy. When someone let's themselves go so to speak they are not happy.
Adore this woman! Valerie always seemed like a down to earth, soul!
They say when you leave this world you will smell your favorite food.

She sure is. Truly a beautiful soul!

What a great interview. Lovely, just lovely. 💖
Loving yourself is extremely difficult to do. I’m 67 and I’m still at war with my scale.
Valerie is an articulate , beautiful , woman!
She is an amazing woman! I just adore her.
You are so beautiful both on the inside and out Valerie….
“One word to hurt you. One hundred to heal you.” Resonating!

Wow wow wow … I soooo relate to her
The pilot comedy that she did.with Demi Locations didn't get picked up, which bums me out! I really hope they reconsider!
Keto is not such a frustrating diet. Try it

Valerie I thought you were the Best and am sad you felt bad about yourself, I was and am very very Overweight
She’s not there yet. Complicated
Only thing about Giada, she pretends to eat the food she cooks and spits it out and is a mean person behind the scenes.
MY CRUSH... STILL A HOTTIE AFTER ALL THESE YEARS..
She could definitely eat healthier. So could Wolfgang. She's a good cook, but cooks foods loaded with fat, sugar and higher calories. You can eat those food sometimes. Just not all the time. Good luck to them. She's still pretty.
Demi Lavato has been pretty nasty to a lot of people.
