I should say the Husqvarna service manual sucks about the shift forks drum locations
I'm not a pro engine builder, but when splitting cases, it's always dealing with the shift forks and drum that scare me, lol (I don't do this often)
Huge thanks for sharing your winter project with us, not running a camera I'm sure is LOTs faster.
It is much faster but I’m happy to help
Awesome as always, own a 17 300xc at 125 hrs, on 2nd piston, know crank seal and or bottom end will be a future event, watching you apply skill and knowledge on the case and trans assembly inspires confidence to tackle. Thank you!
Heck yeah
2 strokes are so easy, great work
Thanks
Wish we had shops like yours in NY !!
tnt in Whitesboro is very darn close
Thank you for the kind words
@@TRAIL325 how far from NYC ?
@@Briank-ef5iq bout 6ish hours probably, only place i take my dual sport for work
Awesome video! thanks
Thanks
After rebuilding the low end I have extra pin bearings and washer. It looks like they are in this video on the end of the countershaft while in the tray. Where do I place them in the rebuild?
I've had a hard time getting the "shift star" in while the arm with the spring is already installed. I assume that's why you installed in the order you did?
Yep
Above my pay grade... 🤣
I’m trying to figure out what bearing kit for the transmission on my 18 250 sx ? Can’t find anything online 🤷🏻♂️
For that I would just buy the OEM ones
@@highlandcycles I hear that. Was looking at the diagrams trying to pick all the bearings out. It’s just a bit tedious. Didn’t want to order the ones it’s not. I have a hot rods kit laying around for an older 2014 300 xc I had. I don’t know if those bearings would fit my 2018. Ha ha !
@@sertone777 they probably will but the OEM bearings are better
I just put the bottom end together on a 2015 tc250 and the crankshaft has a small amount of side to side play between the cases. Is that normal or is it a potential issue?
Normal
@@highlandcycles after the primary gear went on it tightened up
@@highlandcycles happy Memorial weekend moto bro ! I usually ride every Memorial weekend but due to injury I trained and wrenched and I am finishing up the weekend with a barbecue
Yeah no, whacking the main bearing inner races simply does not do it for me.
Fair enough but I’ve done a ton like that with zero failures. I also don’t hit the inner races. The left side isn’t even in there and I’m careful to not smack the right one.
And just stay tuned here and we will see how long the motor lasts.
The factory CD service manual sucks
👍👍
👍🏻👍🏻
this question is for highlandcycles,im doing a full rebuild on a 1994 cr125 including top and bottom end on the motor,i purchased a wiseco top and bottom end rebuild kit,im kind of nervous to use wiseco cranks after the bad things ive been hearing about wiseco cranks,id like to know your opinion.thanks and love the content.
I really don’t like Wiseco cranks
