My son and I stayed at Port Mac on the 23rd of Feb and did day visits into mount Gambia was quite smelly when we stayed , beautiful place though . Just come across your channel
Mate you missed the best freshwater snorkelling at Ewens ponds just north of the carnage on the beach. We used to snorkel from from the ponds to the bridge at the road. You can catch eels in the creek with a wire mess pot and snails for bait. Not sure if its legal lol.
we sooooo wanted it, but we weighted up the cost of all of us doing if we hired the wetsuits, started getting a bit X'y. Might take the plunge on the next lap. 😉
Marine life washing up may be due to the Bonney Upwelling, a lot of bottom dwellers were affected. Not from the freshwater, that is running all the time. PIRSA would have a more definitive response. Absolutely terrible loss of marine life. Great content and hope you called into Ewens Ponds (that is where the eight mile creek starts from) Piccaninnie Ponds also worth a look. Enjoy your content guys 😊
Yea that is another theory by the authorities in the area, so sad and shocked more than anything. We had Ewen ponds on the list but we costed in the fee plus hiring 4 wetsuits, its started getting up there with the price a bit.. 🙃
We there is multiple theories floating around now.. Mine, By Catch, The fresh water dump, upwheling etc etc.. Yea apparently authorities are all over it in the area.
wow i see you are camp at my home town carpenters rocks cape bank light house if you like fishing there is plenty of salmon there and seals at the rock in front of the light house great place for summer shit for winter
Another great episode. Such a shame about the marine life in 8 mile. That volcano looked amazing. Love your drone footage, you’re so good at it. Wish I could get lessons from you. I manage to get it up but then it takes off and always lands into trees or bushes miles away from where I started. Gone through so many blades already.
Hi I was just wondering what program do you use for the map 🗺️ tracking, because it’s awesome how you can show us the distances and the area.😎👍 Thanks have a great week.
So it multiple apps mashed together then the final edit put through DaVinci resolve (editing software) Was a pain to sent up, but once its done they are easy to whip up
Horrible to see the sea life. What industries are within 100k radius that are dumping crap in the ocean; Or some spillage from the local port and/or milling industries? Or the Aluminium exports etc in the opposite direction?
Great parking Steff!👌 I’m going to learn to drive & park myself so if you can I can! Awesome drone flying Aaron! You could be a drone pilot when you’re finished travelling!
Great work guys never new much about SA you have given us so much to look for when we start our travels. We are off on a cruise to Fiji Vanuatu and other places next Sunday but before we head to the ship we are actually staying at a place you recommended called Thunderbird Park can’t wait guys keep up the good work cheers Geoff ❤
awesome part of australia tho ...and you guys are too funny as well ... very interesting to see that volcano and camp sites and the dead marine life very sad .. but this video / vlog of you adventures guys is worth a sub ... big thumbs up
hell yea, great part of Aus indeed and its a part often overlooked due to the weather more so than anything else. Thanks for the Sub legend and taking the comment to punch up a comment🍻🤙
Hey guys another great episode, have you guys got any plans to head up to the Alice in the next few months, that’s gonna be our first stop got a few months work lined up there. Me n the wife are just selling the last of our furniture the house is looking bear the grandkids are have a great time riding there bikes in there 😂only a couple of weeks to go then away we go yeeeeehaaaaa
As sad as the fish kill was, it is just part of nature. At least it wasn't like the stupidity we see over here sometimes with hundreds of small crabs killed for no reason by people netting for prawns.
@@LostTribeAdventuresThis wasn't even commercial (that is even worse) but locals dragging prawn nets and just dumping hundreds of baby crabs on the bank and leaving them to die.
Hey mate, so running a few different one, main one is the new DJI Mini 4 pro which is a good all rounder and then I have a DJI Avata for the gap flying and ground running action ☺️ hope this helps ✌️
Haha! Love this guys! 😂 “heaps of bees around here!” 🐝 Ohh geez just watched the 2nd half of this vid! That’s terrible about the marine life there! So sad
Enjoy watching your travels but please try and not talk with your hands so much.. its very distracting and hard to watch for any longer than a few minutes.

With so much seaweed and all the dead sea animals there must of been a big storm.

It is, not 100% sure. There were so many conflicting stories about what really happened so honestly I don’t think we will ever know the truth😔
Mother Nature is a hard lady . She does what she's done for Millenia.
100% she can be brutal at times thats for sure. 🫶🍻

As sad as the fish kill was, it is just part of nature. At least it wasn't like the stupidity we see over here sometimes with hundreds of small crabs killed for no reason by people netting for prawns.
Yea it was a bit of a shock.... oh yea we have heard of that, so horrific what they get away with on a commercial level.☹️
@@LostTribeAdventuresThis wasn't even commercial (that is even worse) but locals dragging prawn nets and just dumping hundreds of baby crabs on the bank and leaving them to die.
