Love collective hauls because they make only buying a piece or two at a time seem more normal. It also makes a case that its worth waiting for pieces that hit just right, instead of buying 30 okay things at once.

Yes seconded, elastic is super easy to replace! You could also add some beading or lace or ~*embellishments*~ to one of them to further differentiate and also add some cute extra vibes

For the black puff sleeve blouse that slides down your shoulders: You can sew a black Ribbon in the back that you can tie an holds the shoulders up. Just attach at the highest point of your back.

I went to my local goodwill looking for a tablecloth this weekend. Haven't been to one in literal years. Didn't find that table cloth but did find lemon printed sheets, a vintage wool scarf, and a dior scarf all for under $20s. Very happy with my life choices.

I think I could count on 2 hands how many times I've shopped for new clothes since 1974. I learned early on that secondhand clothing was the way to go. My children were raised on secondhand and hand-me-downs, too. Today more than ever, used clothing checks all the boxes: good for the planet, unique in style, and generally higher quality (according to when it was made of course). I love your entire haul! Such great, COMFY, stylish, cute items.
I add a little tie or strap between puffy sleeves on my back/shoulderblades so they don’t slide off and it adds a little interest from the back!

On the black puff sleeve top: sew a black ribbon to the back of each shoulder, so you can tie them together in a bow at your back. It will keep the sleeves on your shoulders and add a cute bow detail
tip for buying pants when you cant try them on, leg size/leg room you can measure on your leg obviously but for the waist - wrap the pants waist around your neck, if it's snug it will fit perfectly, if there's a finger or so of leftover fabric that's also the exactly how bigger it will be on you lmao never fails! you can also fit your forearm inside the waist, the perfect pants should fit your forearm+closed fist perfectly in the waistband !!
I also recommend keeping both black tops. Maybe you could add a strip of fabric across the upper back to connect the sleeves and hold them up. You can save the fancier one for when you have good energy and the fabric won’t distract you. Also love the puffed sleeves and cute collars of other tops!💖

Certainly in Australia rural there’s not much to select.
I think it's maybe a combo haha, I've heard thrifting can be very different in other places (even within america), but I think spending a lot of time and knowing what to look for also helps!

Put new elastic in the arms of the more comfortable black shirt. supper easy to do and then you can exactly the amount of stretch that you need.
What about adding elastic to the shoulder area of the sleeves and along the neck hemline at the front, so it fits better ? Of the black shirt, its cute, and prob the reason it was at the thrift store, hope that works if you try it
Very jealous of your midi finds! I'm definitely a midi girl, and I have such a hard time finding things in that length !! It feels like everything is floor length or butt exposing.

To the two black blouses question: since they effectively function the same way in your wardrobe, my immediate first thought was to keep the “replacement” sturdier blouse with the ruching, but I also know that comfort is a big priority when it comes to your clothes! However, it feels like it comes down to choosing between a more basic but comfortable option that might not be so comfortable because of the amount of times it falls and you have to adjust it, OR a more cute but slightly uncomfortable option that you know will stay where it needs to be. Personally, I dislike the constantly having to adjust my clothing more than I dislike a slight discomfort, but that’s just me! Hopefully this is some food for thought and helps with choosing what to do with the blouses :)

QUICK TIP FOR TESTING PANTS FIT. If you don't have time to try pants on at the store, get the waist band and test it around your neck like a choker necklace. If it meets at the back of your neck and fits around comfortably, the pants should fit. It sounded crazy to me at first, but it's worked for me.
