My daughter was crying this morning because her favourite shirt is too small for her but she loves the unicorn star design on the front. You've inspired me to cut it out and sew it to another shirt for her! Maybe even the back of a jean jacket?
Same! My nickname is with an M, but both my first and middle name are also with an M! And now my daughter writes me cute little love notes with H❤M, the M is actually for mom, but it still works! I love my letter ❤
I don't know if you're looking for any sewing advice, but here's what I would try if it were me: 1. Put in a new needle, making sure it is appropriate for your fabric 2. Rethread the machine 3. Take the bobbin out and put back in again 4. Put some iron-on interfacing behind the fabric patch (sometimes it needs more stiffness or tension to do a satin stitch). 5. If all that fails, play with the tension. Often, the smallest thing can make a huge difference!
I was thinking the same. It kinda sounded like the tension wasn’t correct 🧐 sometimes it’s also the combination of a thread and fabric that don’t go together. Practice makes perfect 🥰
Not me minimising your sewing struggle but for some weird reason every time your machine misbehaved I heard Ross Gellers voice screaming “PIVOT!” 😂 so I giggled when you said it. Loved this video and your creativity ❤.
I've created a fictional name and surname for myself back around 2009, when I joined a discussion board. (Everyone there was using nicks and they knew that this name is just another nick.) Then I realised I prefer the made up name so much more than my own, so I just started introducing myself with it to all new people in my life. Fast forward to today - I have 25(ish) book translations officially signed with that made up name, all my friends call me by it and I very much think of myself as N even though I wasn't born one.
When I was active in the SCA (medieval reenactment), some of my friends would call my parents' house looking for me and ask for me by my SCA name (Beibhinn). My mom took it in stride, my dad sometimes made snarky comments.
hi! another Elizaveta here aka Liza, and I also think of my initals as E lol looooved the frame design but i'm very conflicted about badges because they basically look like medals recieved for accoplishments during war, and idk its a negatiev assosiation for me
And Kathleen! (Kathleen Illustrated) And Morgan! (Morgan Donner) and Bernadette! (Bernadette Banner) All are smart, creative, thoughtful, delightfully self-deprecating, and entertaining. I love all those people and channels so much! 😘💕❤️
All ideas are awesome, but the little safety pin fabric charm thingies are my absolute favorite. Might try this myself, once my new craft room is up and running. Thank you!
I love your thrift flip, upcycle, crafty videos! So, yes, more are always welcome! Also, the painted frame is so adorable. I think the train works so well against the frame because of the muted colors. Maybe try making or using a black and white family photo to allow your frame to pop while also cherishing a cute moment.
This and your style give me so much Wes Anderson vibes! I would looove to see a lookbook/ styling challenge inspired by Wes Anderson using your clothes :)
My actual name is Ana Carolina, but everyone calls me Carol. If my parents ever have to monogram stuff, they use A, if not A.C, I don't really care, but C feels more "right". Whenever I have to choose between A and C on a necklace, keychain, etc, I choose the one I think looks best in that font lol
I love how everything turned out, especially the bag! The whole look with the charms, the angel, the velvet, the color, the ruffle 🤌 Also I majorly identify with the varied childhood career goals, and am so glad that you get to combine so many of your interests in this channel
i have the same machine as you and i cannot emphasize enough how much i felt that pain of adjusting and swapping parts for an hour before just giving up and hand sewing 😭 😭 your projects turned out so cute!
It looks like the bobbin thread was bunching up on the underside of the patch which is sooo annoying. Usually when that happens to me I will rethread everything and then hold both the top and bottom thread a few inches out from behind the foot for the first few stitches. That stops it from getting caught up in the bobbin on my machine, might work for yours too!
I would highly recommend opening up your sewing machine and cleaning/oiling it. You can probably find the manual online if you dont have it and it should outline how to do it! Love the little badges, i have the perfect little trinkets to use and make my own ❤
If you want to stitch something on a patch again, iron on some interfacing on the back of the patch. Then it isn't to thin and the thread does not keep catching. One layer of fabric is just to thin.
Omg I have totally been in to those patches lately on Pinterest too! I have had a couple of goodwill jewelry jars and never known what to do with the single earrings that are left over and I made some bows with them that are very adjacent to your craft. So fun!! Yours turned out soo cute!
Tiny scraps make great appliqués and fun patchwork ! And fun patches to mend clothing or to decorate them. It can also make fun accents when you have a very small pattern piece somewhere, like reinforcement pieces. I only throw away (or compost if it’s natural fibers and non-toxic dyes) tiiiiny tiny scraps that I couldn’t sew comfortably. I’m contemplating trying to make paper with the cotton and linen scraps. Just to try.
Such cute flips. I have a couple of tips. When sewing the patch its best to put some kind of stabilizer (like interfacing) behind the fabric. Also when sewing something tiny on my machine I use tissue paper to help guide the fabric through. You can gently tear away the paper when you’re done 😀
a tip for small fiddly stitches or embroidery is using a piece of paper under the project. it doesn't have to align to the edges, just for stability so the fabric stays afloat, and the bobbin thread doesn't do that thing...
OFCoUrSE WE WOULD ❤ to see more videos like this! Is it not human nature to create 😅 And when you bring us along for all the ups and downs it feels so down to earth/ real; like if you’re face timing us while crafting 🫶☺️
Those patches!! I have a group of friends I used to craft with, but we're scattered across a couple continents now... I've been putting together little gift boxes to send and I feel like making everyone one of those would be so cute!! Maybe with a little 'CC' for Craft Club? I'm about to go rummage through some fabric for sure.
They're all so fun! My favorites are the badge pins - I'm currently reading Onyx Storm and think it could be a blast to make some Basgiath-themed badges.
My nickname starts with an M, but both my first and middle name are also with an M! And now my daughter writes me cute little love notes with H❤M, the M is actually for mom, but it still works! I love my letter ❤
Such cute projects! I'm typically not into monogram stuff but that shirt!!! Despite the sewing machine struggles it turned out great and looks great on ya! Totally down for more painted frames. The pins might be my fave though! Might need to make some!
Initials are the same, but my brother is called Mikey by most people except our mom and grandma. Whether he’s in trouble or not, it’s always Michael. It’s such a parental thing to use the full names they picked out lol
Please make more frame and keychain vids! I loved this so much. Also I just found you not too long ago but lemme tell you girly pop you have truly inspired SO MUCH art and creative expression within me, so thank you so much for that!! Also I live in the DC area and am secretly hoping to run into you one day so we can be best friends forever. Sorry if that’s weird. But thanks love u 🥲
Love Milanote! I used it for planning furniture and paint colours when I moved last year and it was so great. I would love to see more painted frames, it's a DIY I really want to do but haven't got around to and I'm worried about making a huge mess!
Another Elizabeth/Liz who thinks of "E" has the "real" initial. Also, someone else commented to use iron-on interfacing to stabilize the machine embroidery, there's also tear-away-stabilizer. Sometimes they can be found in thrift stores.
M's are very prevalent in my family. My dad named me an M name to match the first letter of his name. His wifes name also starts with an M, and our dear family cat's name began with an M ❤
I love the concept of having your inital on things, especially like that, but mine is unfortunately the worst one, an I, which is just a line lol, I mean you can do it in lowercase or the sort of column version with a line on the top and bottom of it, but it's not as good or as clear what it is as a lot of other letters
Lol I've had sections for two of the three projects on my milanote for a few months now. What a coincidence!I even used some of the same inspiration pics 😂
If your machine can, you can actually put down the feed dogs and “free sew” which means you can more it any direction, which should fix the problem of embroidery!
I started using the nickname Ren a lot after moving abroad because my name sounds and looks weird when using the Korean alphabet but am rarely called it by other people (except my boyfriend). But, cause I always see my name written that way on packages and usernames etc I've started think of R as another initial
Ms. E, what does beepworld stand for? I'm fairly new to your channel. It is so relaxing to watch you draw and paint! And now I really want an A patch, but know I'll never make one. 😪🔷 Adore your creativity!!
These are so cute and fun. My initials are GMB so I love doing Gumby stuff with my initials. It's fun and silly. I do go by a nickname but it's the same initial. I relate though because it is weird when I hear my full name.
I've just picked up my sewing machine from being out on extended loan, and have everything crossed that she's gonna be happy (I'm giving her side-eye rn)
If you’re counting how many times I said “whimsical” in this video…. don’t tell me the total I don’t need to know
Also, thank u to Milanote for sponsoring this video! :) You can sign up for free free and start your next creative project here: milanote.com/beepwrld0125
obsessed with how liz's relationship with her sewing machine is like a grouchy old cat who both loves and vexes her
My daughter was crying this morning because her favourite shirt is too small for her but she loves the unicorn star design on the front. You've inspired me to cut it out and sew it to another shirt for her! Maybe even the back of a jean jacket?
That’s such a great idea!! That way she can enjoy her the unicorn design she loves with clothes that honor her growing body ❤
Or even a bag, that way it will last her even longer
It would look AMAZING if you sewed it onto the back of a denim jacket. What a phenomenal idea! And your daughter will be so happy!
my initials are BBB which is so silly to me but also eliminates ever having a dilemma about what initial to go by 😂
LOL honestly iconic of your parents to do that I love it
Same! My nickname is with an M, but both my first and middle name are also with an M! And now my daughter writes me cute little love notes with H❤M, the M is actually for mom, but it still works! I love my letter ❤
Bastian Balthasar Bux is it you?
I don't know if you're looking for any sewing advice, but here's what I would try if it were me: 1. Put in a new needle, making sure it is appropriate for your fabric 2. Rethread the machine 3. If all that fails, play with the tension. Often, the smallest thing can make a huge difference!
A new machine needle is often the easiest fix! Also, oil if it's been awhile
Super tips, I would also recommend leaving the fabric large enough for an embroidery hoop.
I was thinking the same. It kinda sounded like the tension wasn’t correct 🧐 sometimes it’s also the combination of a thread and fabric that don’t go together. Practice makes perfect 🥰
Also good quality thread can help.
I was thinking the interfacing would solve the problem, unless there is more than one problem.
Thank GOD you posted cuz i was having a mental breakdown and crying
real
YOOOOO the badges look amazing, might have to look through my own trinkets and scraps to see what I can put together for one of my own bags...
The faux medals on the tote bag are just soooooo good oml
I love me a crafternoon
Not me minimising your sewing struggle but for some weird reason every time your machine misbehaved I heard Ross Gellers voice screaming “PIVOT!” 😂 so I giggled when you said it. Loved this video and your creativity ❤.
Also a “bow 101” video about how to make perfect hair bows/bows to attach to things/adding rosettes

The shape is giving medieval because it's similar to the shape of a lot of medieval banners/standards! Like what the ~noble family crest would be on.
This and your style give me so much Wes Anderson vibes! I would looove to see a lookbook/ styling challenge inspired by Wes Anderson using your clothes :)

The hand-sewing gods have spoken! ✨😂 I’m obsessed with those badges they came out perfectly!! ❤
Feeling behind even though it's january is a big ol' relatable mood 😮💨 these DIYs turned out super cute though and I loooove them!
i have the same machine as you and i cannot emphasize enough how much i felt that pain of adjusting and swapping parts for an hour before just giving up and hand sewing 😭 😭
your projects turned out so cute!
I feel like all of these, especially the brooches, are giving Ghibli/Howl's Moving Castle. Thanks for the crafty inspo ❤

I've had those same badge charms pinned on pinterest for FOREVER... this is giving me so much inspo to get over myself and make some!!
first !! love this esp for ideas for my thrift club 😍
omg you have a thrift club?!?!🥹 I am dying to learn more
THE BAG. THE BAG IS EVERYTHING 😭👌
Tiny scraps make great appliqués and fun patchwork ! And fun patches to mend clothing or to decorate them. It can also make fun accents when you have a very small pattern piece somewhere, like reinforcement pieces.

NEW DAY NEW BEEPWORLD VIDEO
The frame is sooo cute. It would look nice with a bookcover inside - maybe your favourite book?
Such cute flips. I have a couple of tips. When sewing the patch its best to put some kind of stabilizer (like interfacing) behind the fabric. Also when sewing something tiny on my machine I use tissue paper to help guide the fabric through. You can gently tear away the paper when you’re done 😀
Fun! Especially the badges!😊
Omg! Gonna have to make some of those little badges for renfaire trinkets this year! What a cute little idea.
The badges! All of it. ❤
I cleaned the bobbin area of my sewing machine and it works way better now! Lots and lots of dust can get stuck in there!
Love the idea of making little faux medals with charms.. im going to have to try my version of this.
I think something from Collin Williams' art shop would go SOO perfectly in the frame!!!
Didn’t expect the badges to be my fave craft ❤
a tip for small fiddly stitches or embroidery is using a piece of paper under the project. it doesn't have to align to the edges, just for stability so the fabric stays afloat, and the bobbin thread doesn't do that thing...
Love this Liz! If im sewing while watching tvi use a cushion/ pillow to lean the fabric on and it's easy to cut out as it stays firm. Xxx
OFCoUrSE WE WOULD ❤ to see more videos like this! Is it not human nature to create 😅
And when you bring us along for all the ups and downs it feels so down to earth/ real; like if you’re face timing us while crafting 🫶☺️
Contemplating the patch craft and realizing my patch will be the letter A lol .... its finnneeee
I truly love your videos. They give me peace❤

oh my gosh I love this so much, now I want to send crafty gift boxes to my far away friends!!
They're all so fun! My favorites are the badge pins - I'm currently reading Onyx Storm and think it could be a blast to make some Basgiath-themed badges.
i love how liz is so chill, it feels like i'm hanging out with a cool older sister.
whoop! Always up for some DIY/thrift flips!
thanks for brightening my day with this! absolutely adore the badges you made. they look perfect on that bag!
I like the train! Was also thinking one of your illustrations would fit perfectly, like the black and white "slow your growth" or something!
I loved your commentary about your initial cause I feel the same way! I'm a Victoria who goes by Tori but still uses V as my main initial
I think the fame would look good with a Lou Benesch print!
Love all of these projects!! Thank you!
Looooooved the badges!!!
This was so fun to watch ! I love the little charms/medals on your bag, it's so cute !
Loved all of these crafts look forward to seeing more….definitely going to try the medals
Initials are the same, but my brother is called Mikey by most people except our mom and grandma. Whether he’s in trouble or not, it’s always Michael. It’s such a parental thing to use the full names they picked out lol
the pins are so cute! Gonna make that, I have so much scrap fabric left uiii
Please make more frame and keychain vids! I loved this so much. Diy video! My favorite kind!!❤
Same!
i love how creative you are. it's so lovely to watch you craft items that are for you
Lmao my sewing machine also has a temper, but luckily it made me discover that I actually really like hand sewing 😂 really like the frame you painted!
Omg this is so inspiring!!! You are so inspiring! I love all of them ❤
I have had the little badges pinned on my Pinterest board for so long. Thank you for motivating me to make some
Fellow Elizabeth here, my family refers to me by my full initials, EEP, which I think is so silly and fun.
Yaaaay cozy crafting!
My nickname is just the letter Q, so that's... not my original initial lol. Never sure which feels more like me.
When my cousin was little my Aunt called the sewing machine a bad name so often she thought that was the brand name! 😂
My child’s name begins with an E so that’s a nickname we used too!
Love your DIY videos, honestly love all your videos!❤😊
love that!!🥹 if they ever see my videos you can tell them hi from one E to another hehe
& thank you sm!
I was hoping you would keep the train picture! Omg and the brooches….. SO CUTE
Name is Amanda, go by Mandy (except when I worked in corporate America). To me, my initial is A.
Another Elizabeth/Liz who thinks of "E" has the "real" initial. Also, someone else commented to use iron-on interfacing to stabilize the machine embroidery, there's also tear-away-stabilizer. Sometimes they can be found in thrift stores.
My initials are V and L, so basically the same if you rotate it a little
M's are very prevalent in my family. My dad named me an M name to match the first letter of his name. His wifes name also starts with an M, and our dear family cat's name began with an M ❤
This was such an inspiring video, I want to do all these! Also, maybe you can get Bernina to sponsor you and send you a new sewing machine 😅
I see those @LainiOzark earrings!!
I love the concept of having your inital on things, especially like that, but mine is unfortunately the worst one, an I, which is just a line lol, I mean you can do it in lowercase or the sort of column version with a line on the top and bottom of it, but it's not as good or as clear what it is as a lot of other letters

Is your bobbin in backwards? And when sewing on small pieces, sew on paper. It will pull away easily and your project will look great.
Hiiiiii wasn't expecting a vid today 😃
These are so cute and fun. My initials are GMB so I love doing Gumby stuff with my initials. It's fun and silly. I do go by a nickname but it's the same initial. I relate though because it is weird when I hear my full name.
My machine died on me many years ago and now I had sew everything and enjoy sewing much better because of it 😅
I've just picked up my sewing machine from being out on extended loan, and have everything crossed that she's gonna be happy (I'm giving her side-eye rn)
hahaha good luck!!! I have faith in her
lol about the initials, i always go for M for mai or maria instead of C, and i do find people do not recognize it as my initial
*raises hand as another Liz who insists on the ‘E’ initial*
yay new upload!!
I go by my middle name rather than my first, so I have the same problem
PART TWO PLEASE
I was confused for a second at the patch saying “E” and not “B” for beepworld… then I realized that’s infact not her name :]
I was confused why she wasn't doing "L" for Liz, and then remembered Liz is short for Elizabeth, duh
So fun! Are you looking for forward any suggestions for what might help with your machine, or not? I wanna ask before I give unsolicited advice!
