Just came back from the cinema. And this one is pretty fun for the most part. I mean yeah, it is a very different version of transformers since its more of an adventure type of animation for family. But there many cool parts and also some parts which they just go very tense(in child friendly safe zone) but they still do a camera switch for a brutal stab...yet there are other parts with decaptions and body rip on half.
They just gave a game an 8, stating that it will give a lot for years to come, and the game was cancelled the second week it went out because people didn't buy the game. So they have issues with game reviews as well.
Hell yes they have an issue with game reviews. Ever heard of the infamous Alien Isolation review? "I got killed while standing perfectly still and quiet while hiding in a locker!! 🤬" *shows footage of him holding up a loud beeping object while hiding in the locker*
Yeah, the only review I've read from them that wasn't bad in recent time is their review on Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League. they rightly said the game absolutely sucked.
I know nothing about Concord or the controversy around it but The Acolyte is actually a pretty damn good show that has been overly hated to death. The Acolyte was a damn good show
What D-16/Megatron did to Sentinel Prime is brutal by tearing up his body into pieces but to be honest he definately got what he deserved anyway since Sentinel Prime is the main antagonist of this movie.
Between this, Alien Isolation and “Too Much Water”, They wouldn’t know quality if it slapped them in the faces. How they haven’t shut down and how they are able to hold a fanbase is beyond me
Forget IGN’s review, let’s continue to support and watch this movie as much as we like!! IGN doesn’t know how to have fun like all of us Transformers fans!!
I remember as a kid IGN being A/the go to source for games and so much more. It’s sad to see them become a giant meme. They don’t even hide the ignorant behavior now.
I just hope actual criticism of the film doesn’t get hated on just because its “a movie about space robots intended for children”. I hope it’s actually good though.
I actually went and read the review for myself, and it seemed pretty reasonable (but I haven't seen the movie, yet). He praises some of the performances, but he does have some legitimate critiques (like the pacing and the action). It's wild how so many people are harping on it when they haven't seen the movie. They don't even have good reasons for why the review is wrong. They already decided that the film is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
@@ctartistry360 Kind of the reason why some reviewers avoid scoring all together. A 5 pretty much says ''not worth it'' to most people. No idea if he thinks that, but that is the impression people get. And with so many other good reviews people are pretty pre opinionated. But it is funny how IGN was pretty right about Star Field for example. Videogamedunkey had a funny video on how easily people are praising or hating a review based on the score.
There's a reason the 86' movie still holds up for its time. If this movie is even a fraction of that quality, I'd still consider it a success. The biggest issue with the Bay-verse was it put far too much attention on the human element. In a series about giant transforming robots.
I guess the "I" in IGN stands for ignorant? Im still hyped asf for this movie, especially from all the non-stop praise it's been getting as the best TF movie. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but these are the same people who gave The Flash (2023) a 7/10... so let that set in for a second?🤨
They complained that she isn’t that much of a character besides being a girl boss, which they aren’t wrong about. Hell, I thought of people were going to review bomb the movie for being “woke” because she told Optimus that she’s better than him at everything, just like people got mad at She-Hulk when she told Bruce that her problems are worse than his.
I totally agree. In my hometown cinema they have a six minute intermission halfway through the movie (I know, because there was a countdown timer on screen). Even with that, it still felt too short.
Trying to attract new fans from Gen Alpha can't be done with a 2,5 hour long film. The director even admitted they had to change canon (Megs being a gladiator and Optimus being a librarian etc) because the movie would be too long.
Just watched it... i loved it its way better than what i hoped it would be, especially the end. The movie has great action but it also has great hits of emotion i almost cried. Theres a bit for everyone and a special surprise for TFP fans like me that was very welcome. Guys we won WE WON
I got back from an early screening today, and while the movie didn't blow me out of the water, it's definitely higher than a 5/10. No Spoilers here, but my biggest nitpicks had to do with- The rapid pacing, but it's still partly for a younger demographic so I sort of get it. Bee's voice still doesn't quite cut it for me, nothing against Keegan Michael Key, he actually captures Bee's youthful energy quite well, but the age in his voice wasn't lost on me. The art style for the faces work fine for everyone _except_ for Optimus for me. I don't know what it is about the design but he just looks a little strange. And just some of the lore stuff we already know for this incarnation. I would have preferred the usual "Optimus was a librarian and Megatron was not just a miner but a gladiator as well" type origin rather than having them both be miners. But that's just me having preferential nitpicks, still a solid film.
I'm a long time Transformers fan and collector and I went to see the movie with zero expectations and actually deceived by the trailers that gave me the notion it was gonna be a Cars like movie but instead came out very impressed and surprised by how good this movie is. Eagerly waiting for Transformers Two. Greetings from Costa Rica.
The problem with media is they label legitimate criticism as hate and harassment. They always say this with out providing any evidence. That's all I'll comment on the matter.
I already watched this movie... What can I say, actually not bad 7/10 but there is a lot of questions left if we're going to talk about some characters in terms of characterisation. But I'm not going to spoil, just go, watch and make your opinion
I think it was after their Alien Isolation review, where they clearly didn't give a damn when reviewing that game, that I stopped paying much mind to what IGN have to say. Like not only did the reviewer just not seem to care, but they then put out an "extended discussion" video where the other people talking about the game, hadn't even finished it, I think one of them said they were barely 2 hours in or something.
They've released the movie in my country and I've watched it yesterday! I have to say I agree with what you said in your previous video, definitely one of the best movie I've seen this year. Love the pacing, comedy and action scenes! So cool to know of how optimus prime and megatron came to be. Would definitely not trust IGN reviews anymore
IGN should hire actual fans for whatever movie their watching, and hire a casual to also review it so we can know who it’s made for, and what both audiences would think.
F off IGN I give this 10/10 Absolute masterpiece Absolute cinema And a very good choice for kids nowadays who wanted to start watching TF This should be their Generation 1
Highly recommend watching mister;"better with bob"video about the first live action joe movie! Basically, sometimes, taking casual audiences into account can make franchise movies gold!
Got to see the preview showing this past weekend here the USA. I grew up on the 80s cartoon and comics. When Optimus transformed for the first time in the original Michael Bay film I teared up a bit, but I haven't given a damn about these movies in a t least 10 years... So Going into this one with my four year old, I expected it to be a fun animated movie. But it was truly amazing. Finally a Transformers movie that puts story first and takes the rich lore and mythology and turns that into something contemporary. This is a proper reboot for a stale franchise. I hope it opens big
As a huge Transformers fan, I didn’t know how to feel about this movie before and thought that it would be a joke but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the movie was!
I watched the movie for a second time purely because I wanted to see it again. There is nothing high brow or complex about the plot. But that is not the point. What Transformers One offers is a vibrant and exciting invitation to the world of Transformers. At its core the movie is beautiful, fun, exciting and impactful. So so glad that the movie franchise is moving in this direction!!!!
You can stay here in hiding, watching your PATHETIC "Joker 2" and "The Wild Robot", or you can follow me as we march onto theaters, and we watch Transformers One, ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!! TRANSFORMERS FANS, RISE UP!!!
I mean, I am hoping it's good but they're review did point out some things I can't ignore. What if the plot isn't super good at communicating optimus and megatron's relationship and how it all went wrong, what if the action is really weirdly shot and hard to focus on, there's are things that COULD happen. The rest of the review is whatever but we've never really seen transformers writing really be on the level of the comics, although a lot of shows were good in their own ways. I'm just begging this could be a step above everything we had, or at least be as good as the shows we love. I'd really hate for the first fully 3d animated transformers movie to feel like the live action ones in everything but visuals.
The movie came out earlier in my country and I watched it. It is amazing. At first, I was a bit scared with how things started, I thought it was going to be a childish movie (when I day childish, i refer specific to dumbed characters and plot because for some reason people think kids are dumb when they are not).... but oh boy was I wrong. They give the characters the respect and importance they deserve, death feals heavy in this movie, and conflict feels important. The funny moments are separated from the serious ones, so it doesn't feel incongruent at all. Thr movie, characters, plot... everything was grat, even my parents enjoyed it. (They like the old transformers). Of course, it has flaws, but it is definitely not a 5. It is at least an 8
the cast and crew respected the source material which made it great for me. You could tell it was gonna be good when IGN gave it a 5/10 as they would have given a 7 or above had it being woke enough. A G1 CGI movie with minimal humans would be amazing, like the Bumblebee start.
I honestly don’t care that IGN gave it a 5, if the reviewer didn’t like it that’s fine maybe they didn’t connect with the movie or just had a bad day at the office, who cares. It’s one review in a sea of them.
Honestly ign doesn’t mean shit this is one of the few movies where the majority audience LOVED it 98% for audience score and 88% on rotten tomatoes MEANS it’s a good movie and if reviewers impact the success of the movie ign sure ain’t doing shit to influence it
This movie has rekindled my love of transformer, though it never really went away. Officially my favorites are G1 and One. I really hope that it does get a sequel. Do a trilogy with the third one ending with them all crashing one earth. then roll out into a new show based on this continuity.
I mean IGN is the same company that unironically said that the Sonic the Hedgehog series was never good to begin with despite the fact that it's completely further from the truth. That alone should tell people that IGN's credibility as a gaming review website was lost a long time ago which is why I didn't take their review of TF One seriously myself.
As someone who gets very critical and hates a movie over something small, this was a great movie. Animation was great, and I’ve always like transformers. I never really looked into the lore, but still liked it. Even though I haven’t seen the lore though, sentinel being evil was very predictable since the start.
I was six in 1984. Been a fan ever since and I was pleasantly surprised how much consideration the film had for G1 fans like me. Not just for kids! 8.5/10 from me.
Yeah, I never trusted IGN's review. I mean, they literally gave Alien Isolation the exact same rating because it was 'too hard', and that game was amazing.
Probably because the 13th doesn't have a name, if we base the primes off the Aligned continuity primes. So they used made Zeta prime the 13th. They probably didn't want to confuse the (more casual) audience and hint at the 13th prime reincarnated into Optimus thing that the Aligned continue had.
@matthewethansetiabudi6528 I'm cool with the change. I never like the reincarnation of Optimus Prime to begin with it always made Optimus seem like God or immortal or something. His too much of a constant.
I remember when IGN rates the Rise of the Dark Spark with terrible and boring dialouges. To which, I disagree because the dialouges are actually funny and you can't find those dialouges in FOC and WFC
I just saw it. I was concerned I'd be looking at an extended episode of Transformer Earth Spark, but this was the best Transformer movie since the 86 film.
Just watched. Pleasantly surprised. Was a good movie with a ton of fan service. That third act/final battle was epic. D-16s transition was a tad fast, but you understood he’s reasoning for hatred of Iacon, but not necessarily why he’d turn on his friend so hard.
Honestly, I thought this movie was mediocre. MCU-esque dialog (they never stop talking, and they did Bumblebee dirty) Bland, forgettable characters A plot that feels like something you've seen else-where. Sure, the movie had fantastic visuals and fight scenes. But as harsh as this sounds, great visuals don't save a bland story (This is also a problem I have with this "Spider-verse animated movie renaissance", but thats a different topic), I think the movie shoud've focused more on Orion Pax and D-16's relationship. That was the most interesting part of the film, and it kind of brushes it aside.
“Barely legible cybertronian battles” wtf do they mean?? They were literally using their ability to transform in their fighting! That seems incredibly unique to a cybertronian!
WE JUST SAW TRANSFORMERS ONE TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!! LET ME JUST SAY THIS RIGHT NOW, TRANSFORMERS ONE IS MY NEW FAVORITE TRANSFORMERS MOVIE!!!!!!!! TRANSFORMERS ONE WAS FREAKING AWESOME IN EVERY SINGLE WAY!!!!!!!! DAD WAS SURPRISED HOW GOOD, TRANSFORMERS ONE WAS!!!!!!!
ign has had L takes for years They literally compared the glory kill system in Space Marine 2 to doom eternal… even thought the original space marine game had done it before eternal
The only good IGN reviewer is Luke Reilly in my opinion. He does the reviews for racing games and most things car/driving related. He seems very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. I still don't always trust the final verdict, but his reviews are atleast fun to watch for car guys.
After watching the review and seeing the movie it just feels like they half-assed it. If you’re gonna be this big company and want to give it an honest review you should at least sound like you watched the movie even at least looking up the characters names beside just saying “spider lady”.
Pretty much how I approach all media. Watch or play it for myself & form my own opinion. If someone asks what I think, I'll share my opinion, then recommend them to have their own.

*shows footage of him holding up a loud beeping object while hiding in the locker*
We know because their few recent reviews were really bad. (cough cough Concord, The Marvels)
Yeah, the only review I've read from them that wasn't bad in recent time is their review on Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League. they rightly said the game absolutely sucked.
Okay, what did you dislike about the Acolyte review?
@@egbertmilton4003It should been 5 not 6. Show was just decent good fight cinematography but bad writing.
"charming characters"
I remember as a kid IGN being
A/the go to source for games and so much more. It’s sad to see them become a giant meme. They don’t even hide the ignorant behavior now.
I just hope actual criticism of the film doesn’t get hated on just because its “a movie about space robots intended for children”. I hope it’s actually good though.
Something that is for children is not even a bad thing. That's not the real problem.
@@warknightxl2167 i agree, Toy Story and the early Pixar films for example were all aimed for children but are also great movies.
IGN won't change my mind about me going to see transformers one
I guess the "I" in IGN stands for ignorant?
Im still hyped asf for this movie, especially from all the non-stop praise it's been getting as the best TF movie. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but these are the same people who gave The Flash (2023) a 7/10... so let that set in for a second?🤨
IGN orant
And remember when ign also said that sonic was never good💀
Ain't no way an IGN reviewer is complaining about Elita One being a girl boss. Isn't one of the thing IGN likes being in games/films girl bosses?
I was about to say that lmao
They complained that she isn’t that much of a character besides being a girl boss, which they aren’t wrong about.
Hell, I thought of people were going to review bomb the movie for being “woke” because she told Optimus that she’s better than him at everything, just like people got mad at She-Hulk when she told Bruce that her problems are worse than his.
Honestly my only problem is that movie was too short
I totally agree. In my hometown cinema they have a six minute intermission halfway through the movie (I know, because there was a countdown timer on screen). Even with that, it still felt too short.
Trying to attract new fans from Gen Alpha can't be done with a 2,5 hour long film. The director even admitted they had to change canon (Megs being a gladiator and Optimus being a librarian etc) because the movie would be too long.
Well I think it's supposed to be a triology
They can't review things anymore tbh
Just watched it... i loved it its way better than what i hoped it would be, especially the end. The movie has great action but it also has great hits of emotion i almost cried. Theres a bit for everyone and a special surprise for TFP fans like me that was very welcome. Guys we won WE WON
I got back from an early screening today, and while the movie didn't blow me out of the water, it's definitely higher than a 5/10.
No Spoilers here, but my biggest nitpicks had to do with-
The rapid pacing, but it's still partly for a younger demographic so I sort of get it.
The positives outweigh the negatives, don't let one individual ruin your experience for the movie
This is the same type of “Bullsh!t”... On What they did with the "Super Mario Brothers" 2023 Movie?!...
Transformers one was a good movie and good thing is I don’t listen to other people’s decisions about the movie
The Bumblebee Movie scored a 1/10 cause Charlie looks like the Penguin from Batman Returns.
Man, One was a great movie! I loved finally having the story of prime and Megatron before they were enemies on the big screen
I mean it’s only one negative review from IGN who cares
I’m seeing it today early access everyone else is praising it
Like the fourth snake said;"You can't spell Ignorant without Ign"!
F off IGN
I give this 10/10
Absolute masterpiece
Absolute cinema
And a very good choice for kids nowadays who wanted to start watching TF
This should be their Generation 1
I can confidently say, so not worry about this review, or any others. Go watch it and see for yourself!
It’s one review in a sea of them.
if CC doesn't want any hate towards IGN,
He is a bit late
IGN dares to be stupid!
Transformers the movie soundtrack👌
@@theonurminen7064 yeah, that’s good!
They're still pissed about Concord LMAO
I'm still rather shocked that IGN still has over 18 million freaking subscribers.
People who love ign reviews are something else.
Movie was good.
The biggest question I have is did they make Zeta Prime the 13th Prime?
@@Samuel_Loegan TF One flopped lmao
@@申月営無営月無営有申 go on, keep on saying it
I just saw it.
MCU-esque dialog (they never stop talking, and they did Bumblebee dirty)
Bland, forgettable characters
A plot that feels like something you've seen else-where.
Sure, the movie had fantastic visuals and fight scenes. But as harsh as this sounds, great visuals don't save a bland story (This is also a problem I have with this "Spider-verse animated movie renaissance", but thats a different topic),
I think the movie shoud've focused more on Orion Pax and D-16's relationship. That was the most interesting part of the film, and it kind of brushes it aside.
I just seen it and like wow, how did Ign missed it so badly
Title:
Me: Because IGN rarely, if EVER, has anything remotely tickling a good take.
As a Sonic fan I approve this message
"Sonic was never good"
IGN unleashed gameplay:
@@Oc_TheGrunt “this game was great and all, but have you considered the fact that Sonic had a rough transition to 3D? Also Sonic 06”
“Barely legible cybertronian battles” wtf do they mean?? They were literally using their ability to transform in their fighting! That seems incredibly unique to a cybertronian!
IGN also said Captain Marvel was good...
Yeah I'm not gonna take it seriously
Have you seen the 40th anniversary tribute video by studio Trigger?
WE JUST SAW TRANSFORMERS ONE TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
LET ME JUST SAY THIS RIGHT NOW, TRANSFORMERS ONE IS MY NEW FAVORITE TRANSFORMERS MOVIE!!!!!!!!
TRANSFORMERS ONE WAS FREAKING AWESOME IN EVERY SINGLE WAY!!!!!!!! DAD WAS SURPRISED HOW GOOD, TRANSFORMERS ONE WAS!!!!!!!
i'm going to early screening today at 4:30 P.M.
My finger can transform. Guess which one
I'm still gonna watch it. IGN doesn't know how to review things anymore.
ign has had L takes for years
They literally compared the glory kill system in Space Marine 2 to doom eternal…
even thought the original space marine game had done it before eternal
The only good IGN reviewer is Luke Reilly in my opinion. He does the reviews for racing games and most things car/driving related.
He seems very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. I still don't always trust the final verdict, but his reviews are atleast fun to watch for car guys.
Everyone in the gaming community hates IGN, if they acknowledge it at all.
What were you expecting from a publication's opinion of of a film about 'why extremism is bad' when said publication rides the alt right pipeline?
After watching the review and seeing the movie it just feels like they half-assed it. If you’re gonna be this big company and want to give it an honest review you should at least sound like you watched the movie even at least looking up the characters names beside just saying “spider lady”.
Who has ever cared about an iGN review? No one i know atleast.
I do not care for any critic's opinion. I only care for the audience's reviews.
At IGN work a lot of GOBOTS
Cant wait for more content from your channel!
Pretty much how I approach all media. Watch or play it for myself & form my own opinion. If someone asks what I think, I'll share my opinion, then recommend them to have their own.
That’s how everyone should act, but for someone reason people have a hard time understanding what opinions are.
@@AlexMartinez-nj9io Yeah, unfortunately.
watched it last night. As a fan, it was a fantastic movie. 8.9/10!
I will be honest. I went in with no expectations and being a big fan of the franchise...didn't really like it. And it's entirely on the third act.
That's fine but can we all agree that this movie is better than the Baysverse? Especially TLK
@@Ad1tputra OH YEAH ABSOLUTELY
The third act is the best part of the movie to me, a lot of my problems came from the first act and certain characters.
