Totally agree. What a waste on taxpayers money. Everything is getting more expensive with more taxes. COE revenue alone can reach half a billion dollars monthly!
The Chinese are reported to have developed a radar that could detect stealth fighters, such as the F-35. Whether true or not, countries will eventually have such a radar, and it won't be far off. When that hapoens, the hundreds of billions for the F-35 will be wasted. Not only is the F-35 super expensive, it is, yes, very expensive to fly and maintain. Wow F35As jets 60% faster than the speed of sound wow! K Go Go Go Singapore k!
👍👍
Waste money !!!!!
@deschan2246 It is Singapore's money to waste and not your pathetic ringgit. A Second Class Malaysian like you should learn to bow to your First class Bumiputra citizens.
First ..we like to ask who are the enemies of Singapore....long ago Singapore feared Malaysia and Indonesia..but now these 2 countries need Singapore more .
If more links are tied to US ..then Singapore will have to comply with the terms of US more ...maybe not be that prudent.
Maybe more naval boats are more practical to deal with sea pirates.
Time to have a new term who does not lean to Western powers that readily .
Singapore has to be on the side of history ...and hopefully Lawrence Wong will come out better...do not have a defence minister who could embarrass a big power for nothing ..
There are no enemies for Singapore only ..pirates and terrorists to deal with when the policies are not correct
At least its legit real planes and not an empty shells on the news. lol
F-35 must complement with F-15SG as former got limited payload.
The efficacy of stealth of F-35 fighter jets was clearly on display last year after an F-35B pilot ejected from the plane in North Carolina and the Marine Corps had to turn to the public for help tracking down the missing plane.
what are you saying? US have sh1tty radar?
@@Wvk5zc It's just Chinese trash talk, don't mind it
@@Wvk5zc he said that it's very stealthy

How Singapore defence force is far advances compared to Malaysia.
bcoz...I think you got the answer to it...many possible answers.....!
Mainly are for deterrence purposes. If Sg got ill luck, Malaysia South will be equally worse off, and Riao islands too.
Ah China..... the joy and pride of the military industrial complex.....
“Senator, I’m a singaporean”
Why buy A? A and B what the difference? A more powerful?
Varient A carries more fuel and a little more weapon, as said in the video, to have greater endurance and firepower, and also includes a internal gun, which the b have to carry a pod, and compliments the B variants which are more for a short takeoff and landing for in which when runways are not suitable for a normal jet to takeoff
@@Relativity_Space-SFS then should get more
@@tanhy1522 need balance between both
@@Relativity_Space-SFS yes agree
But f15s seem to serve its purpose better at the moment. You can see that Israel wants more F15s and not f35s.
Lokking forward to 12% and then 15% GST.
The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) consisting of 38 member countries has an average GST standard rate of 19.2%. SG at 9% is relatively low.
wow.. they really scared of their neighbours
F35 so expensive and a tiny red dot purchased 12 plus another 8 of these advanced fighter jets
Why not buy 1500 big advanced drones to protect Singapore airspace?
There is still a need for manned fighters. SG only bought 20 F-35 precisely because they are buying unmanned aircraft in future. Read the Mindef statement carefully.
Coming from Minister Chan, it does sound a little bit like “ownself defending ownself” much in the same way as the PAP having been described as “ownself check ownself”.
Reported me proves I’m right about you and I hope u live through long enough to see what kind of looser you are ! If you are that scum bag chee behind this account , you will never be allow in the parliament and despite I never vote for PAP .
Nice one 👍 👍👍
Horrible news reporting, what is travel bonga and cheese edition? omg
No doubt for Taylor Swift to travel from Changi AIrport to Changi Village
I wonder why country like Singapore need a stealth fighter for? Is there any enemy in mind?
today you must have a military equipment must be latest or the best arsenal for defence ...you may never know who or when the enemy attack...
LOL !!! AHAHAAHAH !! @@ YES , STUPID CHINA.. ??@@
@@runningseagull5413 Yeah, but to maintain a stealth is more expensive than to maintain an already operational fighter that have score 400 to 0 loss ratio? So why stealth?

@@kumunoynimanoy5400 yeah, I don't think its China.
Apparently, this is protection money handed over by Singapore to the American father
Are you a new citizen or a senior citizen?

Singapore only has 283.5 k2 of land are they directly warning Xi Jinping's aggression in the South China Sea?
Aircraft Carrier when????😂
This makes as much sense as having an oncologist decide how many fighter jets we need for the country's defense.
I hope Singaporeans here will not reveal too much info regarding Sg military. Do not be eager to show off your knowledge by commenting on it. There are so many spies here waiting for you to reveal with their well-thought questions.
Most things we gonna say here are widely available for anyone to search up on the internet lmao
@@Relativity_Space-SFS Let them search. At the end, whether they want to believe in what they have read is up to them. We don't need to serve it to them.
Congratulations SG...on the acquisition of your new fighter jets
Why congratulate? It's like congratulating someone for buying a Porche. Both cost lots of money. Whether you are for or against Singapore buying the F-35, there's nothing to congratulate, just as there's no reason to congratulate someone for buying a Porche.
singapore can become buyer only , and can't be a maker fighter , so there are no worries in America selling the F35 to Singapore
Why should Singapore buy this type of fighter, it seems not very important for a small country, while the distance of the aircraft reaches 2,200 km.
deterrence not to mess with us. Also the country with the stronger military power has more negotiation power. Do u not think about these before commenting. i swear some of you dont know why the USA and china is the most feared countries in the world.
There goes the tax payers money
ULTRA KIASU PILOT
VTO PAP ! Wasting Taxpayers Money !
Who has to pay for this and the CO2?
Malaysia will buy 8 S-400 air defense systems. These planes will be Sembawng, I suppose. Their coordinates will be keyed into a few DF-17 and DF-22.
S-400 are getting destroyed by HIMARS in Ukraine.
S400 is useless against F35 if the plane is 50+ km away.
@@Randomguy-wy4xi Which propaganda orgsanization do you work for? The CIA? Don't parade your ignorance.
S-400 cannot even detect SU-24 at 250km away.
@@kurousagi8155 Do you know how far 250km is, genius? That is WAY beyond the horizon. Do you know how radar works?
How long is it's lifespan
It is quite long as long as it does not fly over the sea as it has a submarine fetish always wanting to be a flying submarine. There are already several acting as submarines.
2 weeks
@@hangtuah888 An odd thing to say considering Malaysia only has a handful of obsolete fighter aircraft and the navy is still waiting for its ships stuck in the shipyard while China intrudes on your territory- which is probably what someone like you wants.
@@j2h226 China is non expansionist unlike the DIsunited States causing grief and death whenever they engage with anyone. Just have to witness the mayhem, death and destruction in both Ukraine and Gaza. So no fear there unless you lack sovereignty like Singapore, and wants to be a lapdog.
@@j2h226 As well, most of the Singapore Armed Forces personnel are what I called pondans, good for show only. When the first angry shot is fired, they probably will run home to mama. Recalled years ago a group of the Singapore soldiers were beaten up by a group of drunken aboriginals in Cairns, where the so-called play soldiers were training. It made my days laughing about it. You should stop touting about building a rugged society. Maybe change the motto to an effeminate society.
Not just purchase the F35As and F35Bs to boost the coffers of US papa, but soon to deploy some of them at Guam. 🤡
By then Indonesia and Malaysia will have 5th generation fighters of their own
Why would Malaysia need 5th gen though. We don't even have enough manpower to launch an offensive operation on a huge scale. Some updated 4.5th gen MCA is enough, with probably more AA defense. Stealth aircraft are too costly, even big countries like the US use F15 most of times.
Uh what, you know both us Malaysia and Indonesia military are still junk vehicle unlike Singapore had high advantage of new technology because of monthly military spending
Well there are many issues with the operational capability of this aircraft. Hope the authorities can make sure the problems are solved before we accept those aircraft! Even the USAF refused to accept the new aircraft unless the upgrade are completed.
So this is scaring the neighbouring countries using russia and chinese technology
Why don't they diversify their assets and buy some China's warplanes to compare? Always stay neutral
