I have watched this video so many times now and it always gives me peace and joy. I have fallen in love with all 15 ladies in this ensemble: whose music is so much more intimate due to it being a smaller choir and the 'close up'camera shots of the singers faces. I suppose these girls, who, unfortunately, I will never personally know, have now moved on with their lives ( post UVA) and into their careers. But what a memory for them of their halcyon days at uni! And no doubt they will show their children how they brought so much pleasure to anyone ( including this 74 year old Englishman) who listened to their music. Thank you Catherine for your arrangement of this beautiful Georgian song and the organisation of this lovely choir.

WIKIPEDIATRANSLATION: You are a vineyard newly blossomed. Young, beautiful, growing in Eden, (A fragrant poplar sapling in Paradise.) (May God adorn you. No one is more worthy of praise.) You yourself are the sun, shining brilliantly.
You are vineyard, newly flowered Young kind, planted to Edem (the garden in heaven), with aroma of poplar tree, that came to heaven, god made you the way, no one is better than you, and you yourself are sun that's shining
To those who disliked Martin Bijkerk's comment - slavic languages are spread all over Europe and Eastern Asia. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavs. Presumably those languages were spoken by Slavic peoples
No. Georgian and Georgians have nothing to do with Slavic languages or Slavs. More so than you realize. Slavic are still Indo-European, meaning it is related to German, English, Spanish etc. Georgian is a whole separate language family. So implying any connection between Georgian and Slavic languages is like drawing parallels between Spanish and Arabic for example. No hate! It's just ignorance, spread knowledge! :)
We produce tone in a different way, and it was difficult enough to memorize the language without trying to change our vocal production. We tried to capture the essence of the music. Here is another video of a popular American song, that exemplifies our attempt to have a united sound: ua-cam.com/video/oBH5rN-Zt74/v-deo.html
Martin, blunt comments are not recommendable generally, but in your case, it's embarrassing since you somehow managed to mix up Slavic and Georgian music. Back to school my friend and maybe hearing aid to consider?
Thank you very much; from Georgia

There is the reason for the dislike: Georgian is not Slavic language, it is Kartvelian. The ladies did a great job
Judz gumn....not bad...but,its not muzik,its only harmony...🤔
nice try. It does need practise on the pianissimo
Nice try. But it misses the forwardness of slavic voices. Very American
