Will the 3rd gen QD panel b3 available to the new D series tvs ?
Once you go QD Oled there’s no going back
That's true the colors lock very well represented when you calibrate QLED/ QD-OLED tv 😊📺🔥
Until Micro LED
@@MarcusMaximus909 Maybe self emissive quantum dots will be better than MicroLED, who knows.
I’m out until they add a polarizer.
It's honestly not a big issue. I haven't had any issues with my Samsung QD - OLED. The Black are still amazing. And it's crazy Vibrant. @@DeesBees85
Excellent interview! Insight, good questions.
Great interview, Phil! Excellent coverage, as usual. Do we think the Gen3 panels will be in the S95D this year or a later model?
They will be in the 2024 models such as the S95D and S90D this year.
Which led tv is support dual screen split screen multiview ??? Left side cctv Right side movie
Do we know if the S90D will have the third generation QD-OLED panel? I haven't seen that info anywhere.
i dont believe so since only the new panels will reach 3,000 nits since its not likely to also be on the lower end model like LG G3 having mla and the C3 does not
It’s highly likely the S90D will have the latest 3rd gen panel. Samsung is shifting its model structure from the format it was in last year. The main difference between the S90D and S95D is the matte screen (minus the one connect box), not the 3rd gen panels. Both TVs are targeted to 2 different light reflection customers.
I think they will keep the 3rd gen for the S95D as a differentiator and a justification for the high price. If they include it in the S90D then this will cannibalize the S95D.@@icemanandbobtechandgaming
EXACTLY!! I want an S90D with 3rd gen. I do not want the mat screen that will be on the 95 and I do not want the extra speakers or any other fancy changes to the bezel
@@icemanandbobtechandgaming but how will we know? If there’s a chance I’m getting second generation I might as well buy an S 90C on clearance.
Some people are saying they are going to try to use the second generation panels in the first runs of the S90D and basically not advertise this- to get rid of their old stock panels. And then the later runs will have the newer panels. This is terrible.
And it makes some sense because I believe there’s going to be an S85 series- if they would put the second generation panels in these, they could use up the old stock. But no! it seems that the S85 is going to use W-OLED panels!! so they’re going to have to get rid of their second gen panels somehow!
*Are the TV panels using the pico-inkjet aswell or is it just the pc monitors?*
Im guessing just monitors. Because tv pixels are larger anyway and dont need the pico adjustment for finer detail aka smaller footprint. Unless theur tvs now do 8k as oled
The TVs don't need that cuz they are larger displays with less ppi than small high res monitors
I am thinking my next computer monitor..
does the new alien aw3225 32 in 240hx led use the 3rd gen panel
Yes.
Chirag is legend
Will these make it into the Sony A95M if there is one?
I heard that SONY is skipping new models this year. Not 100% sure.
Surprised there was no mention of the new matte finish anti reflection screen on the S95D. I think people are going to have mixed feelings about it especially if the matte finish affects black levels to even a slight degree.
Am sticking with my s95c .❤❤❤
This is why they have the S90D. It will offer the same performance as the S95D without the matte screen.
我已经看到实机了,那个磨砂屏灰蒙蒙一片。
ssamsung electronics will not let this tv reach 3000 nits maybe 2000
Indeed freaking annoying there attitude
3000 nits is what the panel is capable of, but the tv manufacturers have to consider burn-in and the lifespan of the tv, that's why they don't want to push the panel too hard. I believe in 2024 we'll get a QD-OLED tv that will reach between 2,200 - 2,600 nits in a 5% window. We'll see.
I wish they would make an 80+ inch QD OLED. I will probably get the LG 83” G4 - though I would have preferred a Samsung QD OLED if it was available in that size.
Why not wait a year if that’s what you want?
@@omc951 I did. I spent the past year waiting. I’d prefer QD OLED, but it’s not worth waiting another year. It’s slightly better, but i expect the G4 with MLA and new chip will be plenty good.
It will be absolutely fine. Both of the top manufacturer's TV's will probably not dissapoint, especially at that size.@@tedshep
The increased full field white at 300 Nits sounds great and the other improvements. I was hoping you would ask if the panel would still dim with SDR content and gaming. If they can finally get over that hump that plagues Oled Technology, I would buy an Oled TV this year. I like to watch Hockey and Soccer. So I need a higher full field White without the screen dimming. Even way up in 2023, after 10 years, Oleds can't pass The Hockey Test. Here's hoping 2024 is the year. And one thing though about the new Samsung QD-Oleds for 2024, Matte Finish ? Really ? Can they give us the option between glossy and matte ? Vincent Teoh of HDTVTest saw it immediately and saw that there is a hit to the contrast of the TV (S95D). If it's going to come in a Matte finish only, I'm sorry, I'm out. Such a shame.
LG’s OLEDs in 2023 dim far less than previous models. It sounds like your’e still relying on old opinions about OLED. Samsung and Sony are far more likely to dim than LG.
300 nits is still a joke. The brightness between the 3-5 % window and the 100 % window is increasing every year instead of decreasing. 10 to 1 brightness fluctuation is a jok and unaccaptable.
Until they can't do at least 3 to 1 I am not going to buy oled. And I am afraid they won't deliver this soonl.
Out of the context... but why isn't anyone talking about the Samsung Q990D🤔🤔🤔
What the hell is "higher ppi"? Is he saying these tvs will be smaller? All 8k?
Pixels Per Inch or Pixel Density.
12bit panel's for 8 billion colors is need for 2025
Chirag does way too much comparing between QD OLED and WOLED, current tech versus generation 1 QD.
What I really want to know is : how can I distinguish generation 3 QDOLED from generation 2. And if they are not going to advertise, which panels are going into which TVs. I need to know which TVs are going to have the third generation. Specifically the S 90D. There are some things I don’t want in the S 95. But I specifically want the third generation panels…
Color accuracy, please Samsung

Loved the interview not only you asked the most pressing questions the dude answered them as much as he was allowed/know/told. By a long shot far better video on gen 3 qd oleds than even ltt sponsored one.
I think bigger sizes is more important than 42" tv as most use it as a monitor & there are far better 4k oled 32" coming anyways. SO 42" is basically useless unless you live in a dorm but even then just get a 55 for cheaper.
Which 4k oled 32" are coming that are far better?
I turned off the TV three years ago because comes mostly bullshit out, no matter how good the picture quality is, and I'll never turn it on again
Matte screen and one connect box with the same blackout dropout issues. Scamsung is the absolute worst.
This interview is with Samsung Display, not Samsung Electronics. Two different entities. Samsung Display is making awesome QD-OLED panels and Sony knows what to do with those panels. That's why the A95L is so amazing and the successor to the A95L will use 3rd Gen (or even 4th Gen) QD-OLED panels when Sony launches the A95L successor in 2025.
We need 83” and 97”!
The car on the qd-oled was horrible and neon.
Could be the camera that’s being used though, and not necessarily the tv itself.
It’s HDR. We’re watching SDR. Educate yourself.
@JonPais, nobody here said anything about SDR or HDR😂😂😂 Maybe samsung will get colour accuracy spot on this year out of the box
@@rossimaddog2498 You said the picture looked bad because you don’t understand what you’re seeing. It is an HDR image being displayed in SDR.
@@JonPais Get off your high horse, You can see the image was blown out with the car and was probably the camera recording it. Had the s95c last year and had issues with the one connect box, but the colours where oversaturated and disconnects so i got the G3, both great tv's. So hopefully samsung are more accurate this year out of the box
That Samsung guy talking a bunch of gibberish. He doesn't even know what he's saying
