    Did Chirag answer everything you wanted to know?
    NOTE: he is with Samsung DISPLAY not samsung electronics which is the company that decided to put on the matte screen - samsung display shows off their QD-OLED panels in a semi-gloss or glossy panel but when Sony or Samsung buys the panel, they then add their own anti-reflective film and in this case Samsung Electronics added the matte AR film

    The new antiglare coating is a misjudged move for me. It scatters the light on a large area of the screen, elevating the blacks, killing the contrast and the lifelike impression of the A95c.

    • @stopthefomo

      you are right! HOWEVER, in the terrible glare/reflection viewing environment of Best Buy, it will actually look BETTER than the LG G4 or Sony A95L both of which will show reflections very clearly. Samsung is banking on winning the showroom competition and they will win it unless showrooms turn off the lights!

      I'm hoping that the S90D doesn't have this new antiglare coating, which by all reports so far, it doesn't.
      Then the only question left is if it uses the new sub pixel layout/gen 3 panel.
      Then it will be the one to get, as it will have full bandwidth hdmi ports (as it doesn't use the one connect box, like the S95D).

    It's like the start of every year, "omfg 3k Nits!!!!111" then the actual real S95D once launched won't surpass like 1,6k Nits, 200 brighter than last year's model. Good to have guys like Classy...and hate to say it even QuantumTV who are both not buying into the obvious marketing fluff.

    'm going to get 31.5" QD OLED this year, but haven't decided on which brand yet. For that, I hope FOMO will do a comparison review of different manufactures! Actually, I already know it won't be Samsung branded one because Samsung one will be matt. That's just so dumb. They don't listen to their customers. If they ask competition gamers, they will say matt - but they don't really care black or white. For them it's all about winning and even a small reflection can ruin their game. But, the real consumers who actually pay for it - it's clear the consumers want it glossy.

      nope, that's a GOOD PRICE. It's unlikely the S90D will be that much better than the S90C. The flagship performer will be the S95D so if you were planning S95C, I'd say wait but the S89C, S90C are both so good already and priced as a midtier TV. Samsung made the mistake of making them too good last year so this year they will push the S95D hard to make it better than the S90D while keeping the S90D similar to S89C/S90C. You're good!

      5120 x 2160 = 21:9 4K Ultrawide.
      The 4090 would struggle to run most AAA games at anything higher than 60fps without the garbage DLSS 3 frame generation.
      PC gaming isn't ready yet for 5120 x 2160.
      Maybe the RTX 5090.

    Love how they are using the Sony monitor as reference to compare images to the latest panels. This only validates Sony even more and the company’s that are making the panels as suppliers are still going back to Sony and that brands technologies to make their products better.

    • @icemanandbobtechandgaming
      @icemanandbobtechandgaming 5 місяців тому +4

      It has nothing to do with validating Sony. Sony mastering monitors are the only brand monitors currently in use for film outside of an outdated situation (previously LG as well years ago). All brands have no choice but to currently use Sony monitors at this time as a reference unless LG or another brand takes that position.
      What would be ideal is if Sony were to actually make their own panels instead of them relying on Samsung and LG Display. That actually validates Samsung and LG if anything as neither company comes to Sony for anything in their television sets.

    • @lvproductionsinc9748
      @lvproductionsinc9748 5 місяців тому

      @@icemanandbobtechandgaming I think too many people focus on this panel conversation bc it’s just a part and doesn’t make the tv pictures, that’s why the TVs look different. Also people don’t know or forget that Sony made first Oled screen/monitor, the first quantum dot 4k LCD tv over a generation ago. People always take credit from the original innovators and people are uninformed and always remain uninformed or confused and that forms the ac of knowledge they have, thus forming the option because they have a limitation on what they know. Hope people start to learn more as time goes on goes on.
