He caught up with the incredible stresses, put on his body by years of being a martial artist. That makes sense to me. His body as a young man was a lot older than his actual years, due to the rigorous training he endured, now it's manifested at a faster rate. The human body has it's limits. Jet Li is still cool.
That man close to 60 years old.. What can you expect for that age?? No man lives young forever! I want to watch a movie of Jet Li with Jackie Chan Again.. A movie that reflects their lives nowadays beacause I know both of them are in same age.. These people were my childhood heroes..
Enter The Dragon is perhaps my favourite, but I particularly like the work of Bruce Lee, Jet Li, and Jackie Chan. I will never forget Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon. He introduced a new kind of energy, and a new kind of cool, into the movie business.
He wouldn't fight you. He's never once used his skills at least as a grown up in a street fight. He's a Buddhist, and basically a pacifist that believes in love and charity. He would just walk away and likely block anything anyone threw at him. He is a super nice guy.
He is not American that’s why, in USA a 55 year old is sometimes not even able to walk on his own while in other countries like South America or Asia 55 year olds are healthier and can work until they are 80, this is all about the food and exercise while in USA is usually normal eating junk food and watching tv in other countries there’s more fresh food and daily unnoticed workouts like walking.
Age has nothing to do with it. I know guys of all ages in different states and even illnesses. It’s a health issue not age. If you think or believe only in the number, you must not get out enough.
What is this?! Looking lime he's in his 40's 7..8 yrs ago to look like a gappy old man in his 80's? Sorry for what your going threw brother. Your in my prayers!

+ Kimble Simpson Everyone grows old, it's just a matter of what era you lived in. Be glad you grew up during Michael Jackson's heyday instead of Justin Bieber's.
+Kimble Simpson On a related note, the REACT channel has a video titled "Do College Kids Know 80s Action Movies?". After being shown the poster for The Terminator, one of the reactors said the following: "What? This is Arnold Schwarzenegger..... the governor. I don't know this movie, and I didn't know he acted." Yup, that's happening now, and you don't want to be a part of it.
Shit, I’m glad he’s getting better. I was getting worried about him not appearing in anything, and seeing Jackie Chan at his own age starting movies again. I love these two guys.
Don't feel that way, Li doesn't look any different, other than for the role in this new movie about Thaijing fighting (spelling). He looks like this specifically for his role in the film. It's called GSC.
If he didn't have a shaved head I don't think ppl would think he looks so different and "sick". Despite the minor health issues all he has done is shave his head and put on a slight amount of weight to make him look so diff.
One of my favorite martial arts movie is of course “The KISS of the Dragon” I mean he took out a whole room of French Police Men during a martial arts class. Damn
Michael Harrilal He does look 80 and looks awful iv seen addicts age this way I'm 54 and look in my 30s so does my sis both of I had his money I would look even better with weekly massages spa days great make up etc His illness does not make anyone age that way it just makes them lose weight and have energy highs and lows If say there's other reasons he's aged so bad Such a pity too as he was great looking
I grew up watching Jet Li and Jackie because of my dad. Kiss of the Dragon, Romeo must Die, The One, Rush Hour 2, Rumble in the Bronx, Who Am I and so much other movies Iv'e watch, even the super old ones when Jackie wasn't even in the U.S. like the drunken master movie lol. My dad bought so much video tapes (VCR) and DVD's we had literally a box full of them. I didn't really grow up watching Bruce Lee but Iv'e watched a couple big names like Enter the Dragon. Sh*ts nostalgic AF.
"KIss Of The Dragon" from 2001 is my favourite, it is a French action thriller set in Paris, Luc Besson had a hand in the screenplay based on a story by Jet Li, international cast all speaking in English, Jet Li in the starring role dressed in black, he is like James Bond with special martial arts skills, Jet LI wanted to do more realistic fight scenes without cgi and flying wires, he totally succeeded , it is tremendous.
No not of course there are changes. He was young looking 4 years ago. That’s not normal and he has a condition. It’s not “ what do you expect.” It’s clear his health is playing a role.
I absolutely LOVE JET LI!!!! He is a legendary martial arts Master STILL IN MY BOOK! ONE OF THE BEST!! I wish none of us have to age...it is a part of life & no one can stop this process. I AM HONORED & BLESSED to be a witness of his AWESOME martial arts & acting talents!!❤️🥰😘🔥❤️🥰😘🔥
It's also a form of denial on our part. Li is so iconic we subconsciously believe he's indestructible. For some of us Li's a childhood action hero and we have a hard time accepting that he and others age/get sick like any other human being
BrownishCrayonish 35? LOL maybe after 60 it's white who go shit after 25. Asians don't age look at won bin donnie yen they look whites in their late twenties
Li has been acting and practicing martial arts simultaneously since 1982. Jet Li "burning out" has been a progression over 36 years. Taken into the fact Jet Li is only 55, he has been going extremely hard for over half his lifetime . Hardly Quick !
I’m devastated he has been in a hero in my mind as a kid growing up and it pains me to see him not in 100% tip top shape... he’ll always be that hero to me... jet li is amazing and he will always will be
Just a bad picture it seems. He’s 55, and physically has been through a lot. Those stunts take years of your life as well. Similar to a wrestler’s shelf life....You can only get body slammed so many times. The body wasn’t meant for stunts or body slams.
Poor my handsome Jet...😢 Hoping that you're getting well sooner, you're in my prayers may Jesus Christ protect you and your family. One of my favorite martial art actor "You're The One Legend" 😍👌❤👏💋⚘I LOVE YOU JET⚘
You know, I grew up with so many recognizable action star heroes. Sly Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Bruce Willis, and more. There really hasn't been anyone to replace them. The closest thing to replacements we have are the avengers actors like Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, etc but they are more of half-serious half-comedy and silly-style action movies. They never portray characters in a real world setting. I can't even name an actor that does to be honest. All modern action movies have to be forcibly injected with silliness and inappropriate/unrealistic humor.
I would not count the avengers as that. They are comic book movies. Yes, American cinema are not making the kind of action movies we grew up with. For martial arts movies watch Chinese, Indonesian, or other asian countries that that has martial art movies.
I think he's like a very humble guy who is very skilled in martial arts. O_o; NOT all Asians have the youth discount. It's all depending on family genes
Julia L ite obviously a stereo type that most of us believe!!! The way you age comes down to genetics, stress, drinking alot of water, watching what you eat and staying away from drugs and alchohol!! But if your a straight Male and married to a woman...YOURE FUKD!!!
yeah, mainly genetics. I've seen some pretty young looking Caucasian boys and girls alike. One girl was a bartender, so assuming she doesn't get much sleep she probably just has good genes.
you are right. Li is very very very humble and talks like a kid with other people. Li also established charitable fund which benefit a lot of people and many people donate money to this fun, because this fund works very offcially and we all believe in Jet li. By the way, Jet li is the real kongfu master and he knows almost all about Kongfu.
Satan if its not offensive it's not racist. Its definitely stereotyping and will fully admit that this does not apply to everyone. Its just something I noticed
DKsaNn I call it a silver lining. He looks the part so why not pursue that role if it were to come around? Besides Payday 2 lost my interest a long time ago lol
I suspect that his fans worry for him. The admiration and love they hold for him causes the outpouring of concern and fear for his well being. It's like when John Wayne fans found out he was ill. So many prayed for his recovery. We don't like seeing our movie heroes sick and in danger.
George One week before The Duke died he was on TV and my dad said, "Damn, he looks like my brother just before he died of Cancer. I think he ain't long for this world.". I was driving down the highway a week later and heard on the news that he had died. I almost pulled the car over, it was like your grandpa died. So sad, I think it took me three days to really accept it.
I can see a lot of people are ignorant about Jet Li. He was not even sick and old when this photo was taken. He just happened to have his head shaved, and it's the angle and the lighting of the photo that made him looked old and frail. Yes there are signs of aging on his face but come on, everyone gets old. I'd rather he ages naturally than goes for botox, plastic surgery etc that make one's face looks fake and frozen. He is a legend and no matter how he looks like, he still has my love and respect. My hero forever!

That man close to 60 years old.. What can you expect for that age?? No man lives young forever! I want to watch a movie of Jet Li with Jackie Chan Again.. A movie that reflects their lives nowadays beacause I know both of them are in same age.. These people were my childhood heroes..
Shit my dad I 62 and that man still is a champ. Works out everyday and all. Jet li is ill
@@Magnacardia well yeah if u work out that will help your body and stuff
Jackie has 10 years on Jet.. And yet looks 10 years younger. 🤣
Enter The Dragon is perhaps my favourite, but I particularly like the work of Bruce Lee, Jet Li, and Jackie Chan. I will never forget Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon. He introduced a new kind of energy, and a new kind of cool, into the movie business.
I still wouldn't start a fight with him.
He wouldn't fight you. He's never once used his skills at least as a grown up in a street fight. He's a Buddhist, and basically a pacifist that believes in love and charity. He would just walk away and likely block anything anyone threw at him. He is a super nice guy.
He look like old Chinese strong man
Guys, his evil version from The One is trying to kill him. We gotta protect Jet Li! HE MUST BE THE ONE!!
firmly grasp it He was just joking
hahaha now that's funny
Jet Li *IS* the One!
firmly grasp it Dude, it's a jet li movie reference.
I thought it was because he kissed the Dragon
JET WAS BORN IN 1963! That means the man is 55-56 years old. What in heaven do you expect from a man who is close to 60? A remarkable man!
I am 34 but guess who gets IDed? Some even claim fake and need a few more IDs just to be sure.
Jackie Chan is over 60 so ..
Age has nothing to do with it. I know guys of all ages in different states and even illnesses. It’s a health issue not age. If you think or believe only in the number, you must not get out enough.
Black Heart No, that's just wrong. 65 is retirement age in the US
This made me sad :( I'm a big Jet Li fan
King Jae I see you everywhere now.
You're here to? Maybe that's why you like tekken
We do age you know. Can’t stay young forever
What is this?! Looking lime he's in his 40's 7..8 yrs ago to look like a gappy old man in his 80's? Sorry for what your going threw brother. Your in my prayers!
Sperm is very important for men health,
If usually lose it from sex behavior, you will be weakness, get old very fast,
Just imagine this thing can create a human,
So you know how important it is for body.
Wish him more life and continued health, grew up seeing his fight scenes as a kid back in the day, living legend
Yes, same here , I'm a bg fan of his etc . Jet Li . Awsim .👍👍👍👍 .
I love him anyway and wish him all the best! He's always been my favorite actor and I've seen 90% of his movies...and he always will be!
love you to sweetie...but I don't want to marry you!!!!!
I am curious of the other 10%
have not seen his most recent movies that he made back in China. While I have most of his older movies that are in Chinese before he became popular in the states and have watched them often enough to know the movie and what it's about...there is just too much new stuff coming out for me to want to decipher movies not in English these days!
How can he go from looking like he's in his 40's 7..8 yrs ago, to looking like he's a happy old man in his 80's?! Man! I'm sorry for what, your going threw. Your in my prayers brother!
Dam!! Didn’t grow up with bruce lee
But grew up with jet li and dam don’t die lol
Wung Her Bruce Li, Jackie Chan and Jet Li my brother's did marital arts i was a tom boy until i hit my teens school yeara

Everyone grows old, it's just a matter of what era you lived in. Be glad you grew up during Michael Jackson's heyday instead of Justin Bieber's.

On a related note, the REACT channel has a video titled "Do College Kids Know 80s Action Movies?". After being shown the poster for The Terminator, one of the reactors said the following: "What? This is Arnold Schwarzenegger..... the governor. I don't know this movie, and I didn't know he acted." Yup, that's happening now, and you don't want to be a part of it.
Wung Her 😂😂😂😂
I wish this was a hoax....
Eli Bbli I said I WISH it WAS a hoax..I never said it was
Eli Bbli Jet Li having hyperthyroidism although it is real and not a hoax which is another word for "prank" incase you didn't know
97890 9000 bro don't reply 😂😂
Eli Bbli OK sorry about that then, hoax means something fake like fake news
You mean just like his hoax kungfu stunts
Jet Li is a happy, positive and cheerful and also friendly man. His Buddhist faith will help him keep a strong mind, no matter what!!! :)
Shit, I’m glad he’s getting better. I was getting worried about him not appearing in anything, and seeing Jackie Chan at his own age starting movies again. I love these two guys.
Strong fighters are usually old people in anime. Maybe he's like that.
is sad to hear about his problem and he won't be on films anymore but i'm happy he's going well and healthy after all. Much loves for you Jet!
Seriously he looks okay to me. People don’t realize how much younger you look with hair.
He still got hair, but all turned white. So probably you mean "with black hair"
This made me so upset I grew up watching him and Jackie Chan:( man I feel old! And Bruce Lee too
Don't feel that way, Li doesn't look any different, other than for the role in this new movie about Thaijing fighting (spelling). He looks like this specifically for his role in the film. It's called GSC.
Same
But good part about it their still teaching and some of these actors will do it the same or better
@@beyondquestion good
True
He is one of my fav actors for sure
If he didn't have a shaved head I don't think ppl would think he looks so different and "sick". Despite the minor health issues all he has done is shave his head and put on a slight amount of weight to make him look so diff.
Yep, he his hair gone bald
Leashy_Yami_No_Tenshi
It's not the first time his head is shaved, though
he was bald monk for years before the "wong fei hung" years. He looks fine.
One of my favorite martial arts movie is of course “The KISS of the Dragon”
I mean he took out a whole room of French Police Men during a martial arts class. Damn
Oui oui - a dumb Quebecois person says (I hate Quebecois)
Apart from the hyperthyroidism, HE'S 55 YEARS OLD . Jet looks great!
Yeah my aunt is 52 and looks 30. This is terrible. Hope he gets well
He's still one of my favorites.
Michael Harrilal He does look 80 and looks awful iv seen addicts age this way
I'm 54 and look in my 30s so does my sis both of I had his money I would look even better with weekly massages spa days great make up etc
His illness does not make anyone age that way it just makes them lose weight and have energy highs and lows
If say there's other reasons he's aged so bad
Such a pity too as he was great looking
+firmly grasp it stop it he has a illness
My father is 55 and doesn't look anywhere like him.
He's not dying. He's just entering his cute phaze of life.
I still see him as he was. Long live Jet Li
Charles Stratford See him as he is, not as he was.
Charles Stratford Hi
Much respect to Jet Li.... a legend. Legends get older but never forgotten
Sh*ts nostalgic AF.
great :)
I gotta say that Jackie has much better U.S.-made movies than Jet.
he became a monk and found eternal life and happiness and is trying to escape the celebrity spotlight. guaranteed!
He went from looking a model to now looking like a old monk
He can now play the abbots part.
thats what happens when you go vegan
It's the asian curse. You look like you're 20 until you're in your 50's, then *POOF*, you look like you're 75 out of nowhere.
ha ha, that's too much.
This dude went from Student to the Master REAL QUICK 😂💯
this guy is 55, of course there are changes
Lucky Never my dad is 55 and people think he's at his early 40s.
look at jackie chan and donnie yen, jackie in his 64 and still look the same, and donnie yen is same age as jet but he look like he in his mid 30
not chinese u must be thinking of blacks
No not of course there are changes. He was young looking 4 years ago. That’s not normal and he has a condition. It’s not “ what do you expect.” It’s clear his health is playing a role.
55?
Aww Jet Li... I love him.
Holy shit that's Jet Li I couldn't believe it he was one of my favorite actors growing up I'm looking at him now I was like shit I'm old
I grew up watching him Bruce, Jackie, Damme and Master Splinter. Everyone getting old or dead.
DarkSagan Van Damme does Tostitos commercials now smh
Master splinter the g
DarkSagan Ip?
Jet Li is still my Boo!!! Get well Sweetie and feel better. 🙂💜🇹🇹
"Here's the reason why he looks different": goes on to narrate his biography.
It's also a form of denial on our part. Li is so iconic we subconsciously believe he's indestructible. For some of us Li's a childhood action hero and we have a hard time accepting that he and others age/get sick like any other human being
He's still the man.
He looks like a n old wise monk but can move like he’s 20
yoda
lol
Man these guys pay the price to entertain us. I love those specs he's wearing.
I love jet li I wish you never got older so you can make more movies
wait so Asians do age?
Qarcon only when they're sick
Qarcon Asians and black people don't age.
Asians age like shit. After 35 their shit gets real busted.
The King of All Things Possible morgan freeman
BrownishCrayonish 35? LOL maybe after 60 it's white who go shit after 25. Asians don't age look at won bin donnie yen they look whites in their late twenties
Jet Li everyone in the US wishes you good health. Stay strong and God bless you.
You only want epic Chinese men
@@freddiereagan6705 No i love women, but Jet Li is the man

On the bright side, Jet Li looks like yoda now..
He got older...

As we all do.
But he looks like hes 85...
Yeah he's old too late is the legend of Jet Li (Movie of Hollwoody) good actor him I respect that know life
As will you if you are lucky.
Bright stars burn quickly . Hope that it works out well for him .
Phillip well put, and true
He used up all his nen
Li has been acting and practicing martial arts simultaneously since 1982. Jet Li "burning out" has been a progression over 36 years. Taken into the fact Jet Li is only 55, he has been going extremely hard for over half his lifetime . Hardly Quick !
Phillip Lopez if that’s the case, Brad Pitt isn’t a star, but a fuckin galaxy
Fabian Vera not sure what Brad is .
Doesn't matter, still love him!
I'm 63 and look 50 even though I've had a chronic illness since my 30s. I'm great.
Poor my handsome Jet...😢 Hoping that you're getting well sooner, you're in my prayers may Jesus Christ protect you and your family. One of my favorite martial art actor "You're The One Legend"
😍👌❤👏💋⚘I LOVE YOU JET⚘
It is reality but it's hard to accept that some of my favorite stars are getting old I love JET LEE AND ALL HIS MOVIES NO ONE CAN REPLACE HIM
Hes a legend man , its called age....all of our favorite celebreties are getting old...its life man...change sucks sometimes
He has a disease. Moron
CHANGE SOCKS SOMETIMES...😂🤣 I like that!!
I'm 53 and I don't look no where near that old
Your real fans still love you Jet Li no matter what. Stay well my super star. 💞😘👍
Jeannie Jean v ok xwh
Jeannie Jean hi
j
If you're watching this in 2021, I love you and you're younger than what you think.
We love you jet...
Still praying for you...
You are always and forever a legend...
Big Daddy what does your profile picture say? I can barely read it
A lot of Asian people look 20 until their 50. Then they look 80. Not racism it is just an observation
Lochlann Hannon it’s true, I always tell people that when they say I look so young for my age that it’s all gonna catch up to me once I’m 50.
I'd say 60s based on observation, not 50s. My parents are both in late 50s and haven't hit he age wall yet.
Ch Sung fair enough. I don't actually know for certain because I'm not Asian
Lochlann Hannon that IS racist. Just not offensive
Satan if its not offensive it's not racist. Its definitely stereotyping and will fully admit that this does not apply to everyone. Its just something I noticed
He’s the goat man I’m 23, and I still get inspiration/ motivation from jet li movies. Blessings to Mr. Li, his family, and health.
Well if a Payday 2 movie is ever made he could definitely play Jiro 👍
i think Jiro is japanese?
Jiro is Japanese/American in the game.
so yeah, then I think Beat Takeshi is more appropriate for the role
DKsaNn I call it a silver lining. He looks the part so why not pursue that role if it were to come around? Besides Payday 2 lost my interest a long time ago lol
well because it is/was a fun game to play with friends.
He old what people expect dude is a legend in my book always will. imma miss all the greats when there gone such as Jackie chan and Bruce lee.
firmly grasp it HA! I wish baby cakes 😘
I know right.. who will be next.. Toni jaa Is nice but not really that versatile ..
Huh, now I know y your called Dead Fool 😂
I can see a lot of people are ignorant about Jet Li. He was not even sick and old when this photo was taken. He just happened to have his head shaved, and it's the angle and the lighting of the photo that made him looked old and frail. Yes there are signs of aging on his face but come on, everyone gets old. I'd rather he ages naturally than goes for botox, plastic surgery etc that make one's face looks fake and frozen. He is a legend and no matter how he looks like, he still has my love and respect. My hero forever!
It breaks my heart seeing Jet li like this I swear... Let's pray for him
Let's hope Jackie Chan still remains healthy and well aswell
Also Romeo must die is one of my favorite movies of all time
We need more asian male and blacc female leading roles togetter again
Azyatic and we need DMX back too.
Azyatic
Yes, for a movie where torn lovers never kiss.
Chevie Ellis One of my favs, too. Because I love DMX
T M and Aaliyah 😄
Give the guy a break he’s one of the fastest Martial artists ever hands down.
