Lovell is awesome, that would be a great show. I think Dan Holloway, Mike Glover, Tim Kennedy, Jocko Willink, John Lovell, Sean Ryan, (amongst others) could make an All-Star team of American leaders and I'd love it if they had the opportunity to collaborate more. All doing great things individually, but more jointly could be monumental.

Had to pause this 8 minutes in to clarify that the first amendment doesn't grant anything. It enshrines in analienable right. It is not the government granting it, it is restricting the government from infringing it.
I'm not sure when this episode was filmed but on the topic of coming out of 30 day shadow ban. I subscribed to this channel within. 48hrs of episode 1 of "about violence" launching and I have not had a recommendation for another episode until today, so if this was filmed around today 10-31-22 you're tracking spot on about likely shadow banning or outright banning. Love the show. Thank you for your continued service.

I may have heard it wrong but it sounds like these guys are saying, I don’t believe censorship is good and free speech is important. But then they admit to openly censoring themselves and not speaking up just for the almighty dollar. Sounds hypocritical to me.
Is it really for the dollar though? Or is it for the sake of being able reaching more ppl? There were no ads when i watched this. Its highly likely that a podcast on UA-cam called "about violence" that is Pro American and free speech is not gonna be highly monetized.
They didn't say they self censor for the sake of monetizing but for the sake of the messages being censored and not reaching more people.
I reserve the right to be wrong on this as I am not them but that's my opinion.
@@DiamondStarWerks I can’t remember how exactly Tim said it. He said that he censors himself when he as a new product or connecting with new companies. That is 100% for the dollar.
@@aaronlittle4261 that's right he did. But I believe he was calling himself out for doing so at the same time. So perhaps hypocritical but also acknowledging the fault?
@@DiamondStarWerks correct. He did call himself out on his on hypocrisy for doing that. Imo doesn’t change that he does it for the dollar. They say it best “better to die on your feet than live on your knees”. I hope he corrects that hypocrisy but it’s his business and will probably continue for the monetary gains.

So I think this podcast is fantastic and touches on awesome topics. So in sticking to this topic and playing devils advocate. You Tube, Facebook and Instagram are all companies and can make their own rules. If you would like to speak freely on any topic you can create a website and post any video on any topic. That is in my mind the delicate line of free speech.
Really appreciate this discussion. I loathe much speech, but wish to protect ALL of it. There should be no exception for hate speech, which has a highly malleable definition.

I’ll share 1 more word, you don’t and never had freedom, you only had liberty 🗽 and liberty is what a captain gives to shipmate, a permission to leave the ship to go onto land.

I'm sure people have already said this, but the "yelling fire in a crowded theater" thing is not actually established case law. The 1st amendment is actually stronger than even that.
Freedom of speech is also the freedom to ignore. Nobody owes you thier ears, so don't cry you aren't heard if what you are saying isn't what people want to hear, and if you want to blame a company, ask yourself why if what you are saying is so important people aren't out in the streets supporting you, it's because they don't agree with you, they won't listen, and you generate no advertising revenue because of that.
Tim, have you considered Rumble as a back plan? You'd be in good company.

Tim had a dream, that one day...
Very good conversation. One thing that I think both men, knowing their general perspectives, aren’t connecting the dots on is that many of these things if not virtually all of them that they are standing for were fundamentally based on squarely Christian perspectives and our founders, even those who were nominal Christians or agnostics, still recognized the timeless biblical guidelines for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In other words, the farther our nation moves from the biblical precepts that have held this country together, the more certain its demise is becoming. What I am ultimately saying is that our submission to the God who made us is the only source of ultimate freedom. And that is proven to be true throughout all of known history.
I'm a Christian, but I'm not a Christian the way a Baptist is a Christian. I'm a Christian the way Carl Jung and Jordan Peterson are Christian. My way of digesting biblical values is different than those who believe the Bible is a literal history, and the earth is 6000 years old, etc.

Hey JP and Tim. No one denies there was a genocide but what's denied is the extent/numbers of said genocide.
Speech is speech. Take it or leave it. There is no such thing as hate speech. Let’s give officers and DA’s less dumb shit to do and agree they should focus on important things like criminals. Not angry people that say dumb stuff or come up with why a person could be a victim.

Great episode…there’s 100 things I could chime in about but for some reason I want to air a thought about Goebbels since Tim referenced him when talking about propaganda…he said Goebbels was pulling from “Lenin” and “Mussolini’s playbook”
I think it’s semi important to understand that he was moreso pulling from Edward Bernays’ playbook. Edward Bernays in the US was the Michael Jordan of propaganda/public relations
It’s worth while for people to read about him. Cause there’s still people who are unsure as to whether or not propaganda takes place in 2022….if you read about how methodical and thorough they were in the 1920’s it’s impossible to think they haven’t learned a few things since. Especially now that info machines are in our pockets
Simple terms average people understand human nature less now, than those black belts did back then. And even the most critical thinking people among us are impressionable….but the masses in general can be moved around and managed like cattle

Need a longer format. Rogans podcast is the gold standard. You can't have a well flushed out conversation in 55 minutes. Dedicate the time and do it right or don't do it at all. Not trying to hate just being brutally honest.
