About Violence | Ep. 19 Vincent Rocco Vargas
This week on the @about_violence Podcast, we are joined by Vincent Rocco Vargas (@vincent.rocco.vargas).
VINCENT VARGAS served 4 years of active duty in the United States Army, including 3 combat deployments with the 2nd Battalion of the elite 75th Ranger Regiment. In 2009, he became a Federal Agent with the Department of Homeland Security and served as a Medic with the Special Operations Group. Vargas is a successful entrepreneur, actor, writer, producer and motivational speaker. Vincent Vargas is happily married with eight kids and resides in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
I never imagined being in the position to share this story. However, as border security continually makes headlines across the country, it seems more important then ever to shed light on the reality of the Border Patrol and the complexities of immigration.
Drawing from my personal experiences as a combat veteran, Federal Agent with the Department of Homeland Security, and third-generation Mexican American, I felt it was crucial to offer an unbiased perspective. Officers on the border often face contraints when expressing their views on controversia topics, including the challenges they encounter in the field. The media also tends to manipulate thoese narratives to serve their own agendas, influencing public opinion in different ways.
In Borderline, my goal is to take you, and readers everywhere, on an enlightening journey, unraveling the inticacies and challenges of a frequently misunderstood profession. I want to shed light on the flaws within our current immigration system, which requires significant transformation, while also shedding light on the Border Patrol's elite special operations teams and the value they bring to our borders.
My sincere hope is that, as you delve deeper into this story, you develop deeper respect for those who safeguard our nation, while comprehending and empathizing with the motivations of immigrants drawn to the luminous opportunities the United States provides.
By exploring our nation's immigration policy, I believe we can equip ourselves with the necessary knowledge to spark the crucial changes this system needs. Through eeducation and understanding, we can transcend the role of passive observers and become active catalysts for a fair and compassionate society.
Let us know what else you'd like to hear us talk about!

Tim, how many grenades did you throw big dawg? You said 50 but I think you were being modest I bet it was like 700. And I know you really got a Purple Heart I don't believe the haters. Also if you need to borrow a V device you can borrow mine but I want some of that book money. hahahaha clown
Ranger Regt has captured and killed more high value targets than anyone in the world
Of course he would have to ask because he easily forgets important details. lol
Going out and finding seals and marines in trouble
Timmy Tim TIM. You’re so full of crap. Anti 2a commie
Lets be honest 75th ranger regiment might be better than alot of seals and green berets
More ideal for certain missions.
<1>
All regiment is is support by fire for Tier 1 operations. Although Elitish, it's a good starting point for Tier 1.
lol the Regiment is relatively big compared to SMUs. You think they’re only accompanying Tier 1 units and otherwise sitting around doing nothing? Do you think Ranger senior leadership would be OK with just receiving/setting missions for their guys to only run security for Tier 1 units? 😂
I think you mean rescue for seals lol
No longer the case. Unit guys have actually been in blocking positions for Regiment forces.
@chinqlinq89 I'm not really interested in your imaging beliefs are. Factually, regiment warriors are not equipped to conduct anything directly to HVT. Please give any supporting ROE, You feel supports any imagination you may believe the regiment has done. I am not devalueing anything they do. But 90% is supports by fire and yes rescue if needed for Tier 1 assets.
@chinqlinq89 Yes majority of the mindset is rescue and HVT support. It isn't a small task and is aligned with JSOC. I'm not putting the Rangers down. It's a extremely important roll. But Rangers are not Tier 1 unit. Maybe physically but not mission set.
<1> #RLTW
Since 1775!! Rangers lead the way!!
Rangers are machines. They will destroy everything and kill everything that needs killed.
Come ON you don't want to make it quick and painless.
Here he is... Timmy the stolen valor fraud
Aw do you believe everything you see on the internet
@Viper160th no just the guys he's worked with from his unit and the lies he's put on the Internet which are factual. Now climb out he's A55.
@@Viper160thno but , FACTS
@@JB-td9fz I'm just trying to figure out which "lies" you're referring to. But that seems valid.
@@Viper160th no purple heat. No valarous awards. Failing sniper school initially, lying about action on, on deployment, multiple times, admitting to war crimes in his book.... Go watch the antihero podcasts where a delay guy and multiple green berets call him out for utter BS
Appreciate your service Tim, not your lying
Yep....glorified grunts....
😂😂😂😂 cuck boy
With a lot better training, gear, and put in a lot of work during GWOT.
Gilly?
where can I watch the full video #RLTW
The channel youre watching this short on. Just go to their videos section.
Tim Kennedy raised in lies and deception
Can’t believe a thing TK says. Such an arrogant douche.
Rangers are Infantry....rest is Bullshit ...the best Infantry..
Is this channel ran by Tim full of shit Kennedy or ?
why my last wife left me.
@JolynDominguez
I got 120 qualed for linguist but I didn’t have a year to wait for my slot so MLRS it was
Thank you. Marines get so hurt or 311s think that they are more trained or the equivalent of JSOC or SOCOM. 😂 Army Rangers = Special Operations Marines = Not special operations ( dont be dumb)
Yep, nothing special about marines
I keep telling them the same thing they dont even knw whom they are themselves
Of course you are excluding MARSOC from your comment... Special Operations is literally in the title...
I think your struggle is you believe you are supreme to everyone regardless of your m.o.s. Marines go to Ranger school if capable. Soldiers don't go to Marine schools ever. The most elite Marines have attended Army schools
Rangers are guys with a huge extra dose of testosterone, and combat suits them
Don't forget, huge balls!
@ 👍👍👍
Won't take a day, maybe an hour. I've seen us go completely dark in a vision yesterday. I also saw NY get hit with a missile. No one listens so it's a waste of time warning. Not to mention people have been warned for the last decade. You'd pretty much have to be living under a rock to not know.
Nothing but respect for SOF, but make no mistake, the Infantry took the most casualties during GWOT, we are definitely apart of the fucking spear, make no mistake… if we are sent, we will take the objective… I guarantee it
Um thats because infantry gets poor medical training...
And they did all the heavy lifting
All the Delta types have nothing but respect for their grunt little brothers. They'd be ashamed they couldn't go out and help them with base defense and recognized that they often saw more action than tier 1 types but with none of the special training or support.
@@MM-qt8gz good luck providing medical treatment to someone getting blown in half. The Navy Corpsman and Army Combat Medics did well and saved lives throughout GWOT.
It rubs me the wrong way when someone uses infantry in a negative connotation. But he didn’t mean that.
I feel you bro, im a former GWOT 11B, we definitely don’t get any respect… #LongLiveTheInfantryMFs
@@BeyondThe-b3vranger batt infantry and conventional infantry aren't even close to being the same and I've been in both...
@@MM-qt8gzbro if you’ve been in both.. do we not bring anything to the fight?? guess that blue cord doesn’t mean shit to you huh..
@@BeyondThe-b3vMost rangers aren’t very diplomatic due to our enlarged testicles making it hard to focus and form complete thoughts outside of f,ing and fighting. What my esteemed colleague meant was that our mission set of smaller strategic targets wouldn’t matter at all without the Army infantry doing God’s work on the larger scale by holding and maintaining the larger battlefield. Plus without you the POGs don’t move in and build coffee shops and beach volleyball courts. Not to mention the female contingent of 3s and 4s that get us through a 5 month stint until we can get back to the states. What kind of war would it be without that stuff? Now if you’ll excuse me I need to hit the gym. RANGER SMASH!!
Rangers are the best light infantry unit in the world, they should be proud!
Infantry demeaningly. Show some love to the grunts
These aren't your normal grunts. Not even close
@@MM-qt8gzit’s not about that bro… without the infantry the military wouldn’t be shit .
Late to your channel, but love the videos man! Fellow Texan, building towards following your lead on a lot of what you're doing helping people.. big fan brother
Stockton born n raised
I started this till i realized who the dirtbag host was.
Tim Kennedys voice is much higher than expected.
Friends kid died on his first ride on a motorbike. Floored it into a fence and died on impact. 14 years old.
I gotta make a trip up to cedar park and get on this about violence podcast
The Black Horse is coming…
Nobody loves Tim Kennedy more than Tim Kennedy

It’s almost August and bird flu’s around the corner,Mark my words. Apparently bill gates has made a new vaccine so yeah.
Single female k9 homes is distructive to society
Keep putting this out. Please increase awareness.
This comment is gonna sound out of left field, but I am a filmmaker. I am very worried right now about human beings relying more and more on A.I. for creativity to the point where we lose our ability to be creative. I think we should be worried about the same thing with heroism. We are a couple decades or even years from having robots that can handle most combat situations. At that point, there will be no more reason for humans to risk their lives to stop violence. We will no longer have people who are willing to do that. And I don't know what that will mean for humanity.
Can u guys do a podcast on self defense tips or guidelines for limited mobility individuals….
I remember this and how horrified I was to know that a human being is capable of this. So many red flags before the event. Unfortunately, most police force units are not at all trained or prepared for such a event.
I can only take 1 minute of Tim Kennedy talking.
Where is the podcast tim I'm ready for a new episode right after I'm done watching every episode and I thought 1 month was to long let alone 4
Haha, "discuss about"... are you for real???
Average folks may want to purchase from Good Ranchers; however, may simply be unable to afford this option for their family.
I have been excitedly watching for the next episode of About Violence. Just wanted to say I really appreciate this podcast and really enjoy the content!
So how can I come and hang out and be reminded of MMA and other moves? You got a camp? #RIPSPIVEY82ND #helpawidow
