@vattu420 Hi. With free app version and A7iii this cable connection image lag is very noticible. Pulling MF is not comfortable. I think its more than 200-300ms to my eyes. Do you think pro version will show less lag with usbC ?
@bear_bull performance will remain the same, the pro version only unlocks more features. And since it is an app reading out a signal from the usb port, that much lag would always be there. For pulling focus, you'll have to get a proper hdmi monitor for zero lag.
Love your videos! I want to connect either my Sony A7IV or A7RV to a Samsung S7 FE 12.4 inch tablet with the Monitor + app. Can I use a 20 or 25 foot USB-C to USB-C cable?
Thanks Miro for the video. Can the Monitor Plus app & Atomos Ninja V be used together at the same time? So for example Ninja on camera for DP & Monitor+ Wireless iPhone for director?
Hello. I am having a turned small picture on my iphone when i try to film portrait mode. Do you think that the payed Monitor+ solves this? Thanks: Akos
Hi, have you used Sony's free M&C app? How does it compare with this app? I read a comment saying this app was better, would like to know your thoughts though.
Here in the US the Atomos Ninja V costs $399. Without the battery or SSD. But I would hope the cost of those wouldn't take the cost to $1,000 as mentioned in the video.
Ha! You're lucky. Things here are topically more expensive compared to the US. I hope you're making good use of the Ninja. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
well that monitor uses a sata interface for the ssd if you search for a caddy for the atomos you can get regular ssd 2.5 sata for less money a 4tb of samsung its 300 that still 80 dollars cheaper and more storage than what atomos its offering.
1:47, This shot is driving me crazy..😆it looks like someone drawing a picture of drawing the same drawing 😆 you used the camera to record the live view from the same camera? I don't know if it makes sense or my English is not good😂....
Hello! Yes I was recording the display of the image that I was recording. This creates an infinite image in image. It's really cool. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
Display brightness of iPhone models 2022 The brightness increased to 625 nits with the iPhone 7 and 1200 nits with the iPhone 11 Pro. The latest iPhone models (2022), the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, have a peak brightness of 2000 nits. A nit is a unit of measurement that equals one candela per square meter.
Yes they are bright. I use the Ninja because of the recording capabilities and the pass through which can be processed in the Ninja V and the sent to another monitor or recorder. But for making UA-cam videos a smartphone is really good enough. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens Why "for making UA-cam"? What about a film? What is the big disadvantage of using a larger and brighter iphone screen with all the features of Monitor+ for a fraction of the cost? I still don't understand what the limiations are.
Thank you for a wonderful video comparison! You sold me on the Monitor Plus!
Ha! Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
With the usb-c connection, I'm getting very little lag. It is definitely more stable and smoother using the cable, as compared to wireless.
Hello. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

No iPhone cable connection
When I connect with USB cable I have constant 30FPS, but when I connected with WiFi, I have one major FPS drop every second.
Hello. It's topically the other w way around. Make sure that you have a 5GHz WiFi connection. Thanks for the comment.

Hello. Thank you. I don't think the cable length is an issue. Just make sure the app works with your camera-tablet combination. Cheers!

Hm... Good question. I'll try it out. Thanks for the idea and comment. Cheers!
Yes it can be used at the same time. I use them together both hardwired. @govindan
Ha! Thanks for the insight.

Hello. I have no idea. Sorry. I never film vertical. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
would you say its usable for wireless focus pulling?
Hello. I think so as long as the camera and app can connect through wifi. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Hello. I haven't seen this before but from what I see from the Sony website it doesn't support any of my cameras so... Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens Right. Understood. Thanks for the reply.
Is the pro version a subscription or can you buy it for life??

Lunchbox III Magnalium Case SATA SSD
And if you use a Samsung T7 it’s much more cheaper 280 for 4tb right now on Amazon
In my case I have a fx30 and for now I’m using monitor+ until I need to get more quality

New iphones are 1000 nits or more, at least if you just read the specs.

Outside of external recording I can't find one feature I would miss if I used a bright enough phone.
