I have a similar bike, an 06 CBR600rr. Replaced the fuel pump filter because I was getting some bogging under acceleration. I narrowed it down to be either a clogged fuel filter or fuel pressure regulator. Ended up being a partially clogged fuel filter. Use a small flat head screwdriver and pry on the clips attached to the metal bracket and the whole fuel pump assy. slides right off exposing the filter and fuel pump. I’m sure there’s videos out there on how to do it. Make sure you lube the rubber o-ring gasket that slides into the fuel pump upon reassembly or you can damage it.
Picked up an 06' cbr600rr with 41k miles on it for $1,000. Front headlight wiring is a lil jacked up an not working but other than that it purrs like a kitten. Gonna try an clean it up an restore it to best clean looking condition i can. I feel like i stole this thing lol
She needs a total detail...plastics....etc. Love that red color... Candy apple red?? Btw , thank you for your response regarding the search for a GSXR. Safe riding Much blessings 🙏🙏 🏍🏍🏍😎😎😎💪💪💪
I have a question if you don’t mind. I just acquired a 2005 CBR600RR, it was started by the previous owner for me before I took it. Brought it home, changed spark plugs, got a tank and fuel filter installed. I get the fuel pump to prime, it cranks like yours but won’t start. Any idea or suggestion. Will greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
It could be caused by a number of things, does the bike have an immobilizer? Check the fuel lines, make sure it routed and connected properly. Check the crank position sensor is connected.
Did you ever figure it out? I’m in the same boat, I bought an 05 cbr600rr and the bike cranks but won’t start. Shop is saying there’s a leaking valve which needs to be fixed because the engine compression is low.
So satisfying to watch . Im in the Process of buying a 2006 Cbr 600rr with only 7k Km on it .
Super low mileage! They are great bikes.
I have a 2005 zx6r that really needs the same type of tlc, ty for the quick run through it's a good reference
You’re welcome!

Thanks for the feedback!
Its a very tough bike to endure 40.000km of neglect. If the same thing happened to some euro brands they would be heading for the scrapyard
Very true. That’s why I personally stick to Japanese bikes. That might change soon though 🤔
I like the way you describe what you doing
Excellent! Thank you for the feedback.

Nice buy for sure! With a bit of elbow grease, it’ll be back to 100%.
