hey I have a 150cc dune buggy but when I starts it and press the gas it does not move it just makes a sound like if is in neutral any idea what's wrong
+CarsandCameras you can use your rode mic and put it on the OSMO accessory bar.... much better audio, but I still pick up some of the fan noise. you can instead use a RODE LAP+ mic and just lay in the audio later.... just a thought. I use this for my aerial photography business when we do car commercials.
+James Betenbough Yes, we are using an OSMO. We actually used the Rode VideoMic Pro on the accessory bar of the OSMO. Like you, I'm pretty disappointed that it still picked up fan noise. I know that lav mics are the next move, but they are just one more thing to charge and then sync in editing. If you have any recommendations with the OSMO, please let me know. Mine actually messed up some of the recorded audio... Probably only 30 seconds out of an hour or two of footage, but I find that very disheartening. It could have messed up the 30 most important seconds of footage. I'm going to attempt to contact DJI about it.
It's probably already been said, but you should have a t-shirt that says "It'll be fine." Maybe with a picture of a go-kart stuck into a tree and bush pieces flying.
Laugh my @$$ off when Isaac said (when the plants saw you coming I bet it's soiled itself ) that was pretty funny and bring back the Black widow go karts
thanks im building one simmiliar to it with money i saved up last year my goal is 10s at my local track in 1/8th maybe we can race sometime my grandmother lives in NC
great vid again guys! Glad he was ok... we all would have done the same thing with that kinda power on a cart, don't feel so bad bro... 47mph though man that thing was flying, cant wait to c it go faster in the future, really looking forward to it...u guys make my days with these vids! keep up the good work!
Wow, that steering wheel brings back memories. That came off one of the coolest car beds, It was a corvette with a removable hood and dashboard. I remember my father spending a fortune on it for me almost 30 years ago.
Lmao, "when that bush saw you comin in that gokart, he soiled himself". Hey guys I just came across your channel and have been binge watching everything, usually when I do this I initially dislike one of the channel's hosts. This is literally the first time I actually like both of you guys. Subbed and liked!
Just had to come back and rewatch this episode since I got a 670. Forgot how funny this one was 😂. Are y’all gonna do another build off with the new property?
Looks like fun... guys. I've been "watching" with interest, on a number of your projects, and thoroughly enjoy your endeavors, though, I must admit.... that "sometimes" you leave me wondering... as to "Why" you do things, the way you do... to make something work....... but, it ALWAYS leaves me smiling... even if I question "why". It would normally cause me to "pull the hair out of my head" watching you two, do.... what and How you do things the way you do.... but, seeing as how I have No Hair left to "pull out"...... I can only "question" your thought processes, in my own mind. lol : ) I started racing Go Karts when I was 12 yrs old in the early 1960's when Karting was in its "infancy" yet... but fast becoming a national sport. I was fortunate to land a job (after school, in the evenings) working in a Go Kart dealership... assembling and setting up new racing chassis' and engine combo's for customers.... all "reed valve" 2 cycles, back then... Clinton, West Bend 580's, "Macs" (McCullochs), etc, etc..... which is how I got into the racing... as the owner had put together a factory backed team (McCulloch Racing Engines... of chain saw fame).... I finally wound up racing in class "C" Open.... with 3 "Mac"10's for power... on Alchy. Anyway.... just want you to know, that..... that "custom" headers you made..... is causing your hp to drop, as well as "killing" your torque curve..... and if you had been able to "dyno" the engine BEFORE your stock muffler removal, and then AFTER the installment of your Separate headers..... the dyno results would definitely prove what I'm saying to you, to be correct.... and I'm NOT saying that removing the stock muffler is "bad".... it's very good..... "IF" it is replaced with a Well Designed 2 into 1 header / collector system..... otherwise, your old stock system would have actually been giving you More torque, than what you have with the two individual tubes. After Kart racing (and Viet Nam), I got into 20+ years of Drag Racing (Dragsters, Front and rear engine)..... and what applies (Basically) to a V8.... also will apply to a V-Twin, inline four or 6 cylinder or pretty well any 4 cycle engine..... and Especially true with Exhaust "plumbing". In a "nut shell"...... the ONLY time that "Separate" header tubes "work" on ANY "MULTI-CYLINDER" engine of 4 cycle design, is when the engine is NOT "naturally aspirated"..... as in.. "Boosted" (whether, mechanically or exhaust driven, does not matter).... other wise, any engine with 2 or more cylinders, with a 4 cycle design, will ALWAYS produce a "Broader" power (torque AND hp) curve.... than individual headers will...... the ONLY "questionable" exception being, when running separate, mechanical injectors on the intake side.... but, on the dyno... even they are borderline (for hp output) compared to collector headers.... and the torque is Always greater with the collector headers... regardless of how many cylinders. If I were you, I would join the 2 tubes you have there.... INTO a "two into one" collector... then attach -via- a 3 or 4 bolt flange... an additional length of pipe from the collector of approximately 10 - 14 inches, then put a THIN coat of white paint on that collector extension (even if only a stripe)..... and make 4 or 5 (or however many it takes) HARD - FULL THROTTLE "passes" (like your drag racing) for At LEAST 150 ft, from a Standing Start..... then "cut" the engine "clean" (kill the ignition)..... do that, until you see a point on the Painted collector tube, where the paint begins to show signs of "burning" off.... color change, from the white. Wherever That "point" is on the tube....... that is where your point of "reversion" is, in your exhaust flow.... caused by sound pulses (decibels) and air flow, where it actually causes an "Unseen" restriction in the flow.... for that particular exhaust system, engine and the state of "tune" thereof. Having said that, what you then need to do.... is simply cut the collector tube OFF.... in the very EDGE of that "burn point"..... on the ENGINE Side... Obviously. Also, when you do a header / collector type system... your helping the cylinders (irregardless of how many), to help scavenge each other of spent gasses, which WILL produce a better running engine, with a better and more "usable" power curve. Two Cycles..... are a whole other "animal"...... but, their power to weight ratio is Undeniable.... gas, or diesel. Take care, and keep on having fun with the Karts... or, with Anything with an engine. PS: Want a Fast Kart (ie: a "sprint" kart, with No transmission)... with a high power to weight ratio..... get a Real Racing Kart chassis (even from the 1960's era, and put a little single rotor (or, a 2 rotor, if you can find one) Wankel cycle engine (Rotary).... I saw one a few years ago, single rotor, on a "side mount" racing chassis and a snowmobile "type" direct belt drive (Gilmer belt)..... he told me the engine maxed out at 50.7 hp (!!).... Stock !...... wasn't any bigger than any vertical Briggs on a lawn mower and was clocking 70+ on the back straights... using a Radar gun. I neglected to ask the guy what the chamber displacement was in terms of CC's or Cubic Inches, or where he even got it from.... but it did seem that it was actually designed and made for.... go Karts and "Mini - Bikes". Rotary's can Really spin the crank to.... as I'm sure you must know..... would be a perfect power to weight ratio for a kart... or, a "mini-bike". Take Care.... and keep the videos coming.... can't wait to see what you two are "into", next. : )
+2Stroke Diesel Power Thanks for the detailed information. I'd like to think we'll revisit the exhaust on the 670, since it is ear-bleeding loud. I think a two into one collector with a non-restrictive muffler would be adequate. And I didn't know wankel engines came small enough to fit on a go kart... I'll have to keep my eyes out for one of those.
So, I realize this is an old video, but I just recently found your channel. In case you guys haven't figured it out by now, here's why your cart keeps pulling to the right when you wheelie it. When you wheelie really hard, you're actually pulling your rear tires off the ground for just a second because of the wheelie bar. You're seated offset to the left of the centerline of the cart; also, the engine is sitting post to the left. So, when you wheelie, it's trying to hop both rear tire off the ground. But, with the weight being biased to the left, only the right side tie comes off the ground, resulting in the cart hooking to the right. Compare when you wheelie in this video to a wheelie without the wheelie bar. There won't be any hook steer when there's no wheelie bar.
btw this video has inspired me to save up and get a bigger motor for my baja warrior, I had also found an old little rascal grandpa scooter that I am going to be putting a gas motor onto and having some fun with, and allof these videos have inspired me to do this, keep the videos coming, love the work you guys do here, and for future gokart builds maybe start welding on a ram bar on the front of every go kart haha
Kind of off subject but, where's Bert, or Burt been at? He was one of your "better" camera people. I STILL love this video. All in the name of fun, and the science behind it.
Perfect sprockets,,you guys found the spot. Nice loaded exhaust note at about 45. 47 with a slight downhill bias. More downhill and it would run out there a bit fasterr till you ran up against the motor. Now, put in a 5 point belt and a head hoop,,some form of bodily saving structure to make it easier on the funeral home. It wont save you,,but you will be a bigger hunk of meat to view in the casket. The black widow is gonna bite,,get away from those hardwoods, please. I found the ditch at speed in a fun cart that had a Sthil 090(13 hp @ 18 lbs) bolted to it. Steer wheel to the chest and 2 broken ribs.
Hey don't feel bad about the bush the steering wheel Etc. The way you guys are out there running those Vehicles you build keeps everything popping wrecking is part of the game. I just took out the front door of my shop which is a makeshift thank God it's made out of wood because my mini bike brakes failed and I went right through the door in fact I just finished rebuilding the door today LOL!
James Sned those grow back with a vengeance too. I planted them as fill in a flower beds. Well next season the wife and her mom (lives with us) wanted more room so I butchered it back thinking what root I didn't get should die.....I was wrong. By summer it was almost double as big as when I butchered it and every year I hack it back it gets bigger. I'm thinking I need to stump rot it hope that works without killing the soil.
loving the channel guys been watching for a while I watch mighty car mods, roadkill and lgr as a regular and y'all are on that list now. building me a woods find gocart at the moment I put a gx160 I had laying around on it and rewelded the frame where it was broken. It's now apart for paint. looking to go live axle
Wish i could remember the sprocket sizes on my old 6.5HP Robin-Subaru powered Full-Suspension Go-Kart. Thing did 40mph with the CVT, it didnt accelerate like that one. Boy was it fun for a 13 year old and 3 acres of grass and gravel.
Does anyone know which camera they are using in the speedtest? I realy like the speedometer like at @3:30. Is it a overlay from the camera or added afterwards?
It only does 40? Did you just build it for wheelies? I'm not trying to be offensive I just wanted to know. I've got a minibike with the torque converter just like that I got clocked at 47 with just a Briggs & Stratton single cylinder 5 horse.
We could easily gear it to do 80, but the frame it is on was designed to do 25, and we don't have a long, open stretch of road to do really high speeds.
That cart sounds so flippin awesome. Y'all need to find a fat ass cam for that thing now plus dual carbs and maybe a vw air pump supercharger to help top end.
I think it would be a very good idea for you guys to figure out an actual transmission for that bigger motor such as off of an older motorcycle or dirtbike. I love watching your videos and look forward to your future build
+angel recinos we had a problem like that and it turned out the bolt that bolts up the pulley to the engine was loose. im shure there are a few things that would cause it not to work. belt too long maby
hey I've got a question, I'm new to Mini bike and go carts and i just purchased a 5/8 axle and was wondering what rim will fit a 5/8 axle for my mini bike project? Thanks in advanced guys!
Well, I'm glad you guys aren't ready for my Vette yet, because I just popped a head gasket! Gonna be taking the heads off next weekend and everything goes back together the following weekend. I'll be making and posting a lame video about it this weekend.
9:08 LOL :D Hey man, i love this video, and i would like to see it in my next crash compilation. Do you mind if i throw the crashes from this video to my next crash compilation ? I will give you full credits in the description..
my 212 predator no mods does 31mph and strong wheelies. got the axle kit from gopower sports. huge 60t sprocket needs to go. got the torque converter also
Sorry about the audio in this one!
+CarsandCameras wow views in just 6 minutes. I'm impressed.
hey I have a 150cc dune buggy but when I starts it and press the gas it does not move it just makes a sound like if is in neutral any idea what's wrong

Genius
Id buy it
Laugh my @$$ off when Isaac said (when the plants saw you coming I bet it's soiled itself ) that was pretty funny and bring back the Black widow go karts
Jeb looks fine. He's not dead and will live for another thrashing.
Issac dude you are such a savage you hauled on that thing
+Nick Zaugg i try
+Isaac it'll be fine how much do you think this kart weighs
i think the engine is 80 lbs and the frame is about 45 lbs so maybe 125 total
thanks im building one simmiliar to it with money i saved up last year my goal is 10s at my local track in 1/8th maybe we can race sometime my grandmother lives in NC
cool
"gotta go to lowes and get a new bush or my dad will yell at me"
Were going to miss you Jeb Bush
+Johnathan Thompson notice he was on the "right side" of the driveway
+phil tripe depends on what direction you are driving, id argue jeb leaned a little more left then a couple of those other bushes
lol...thats really funny...Jeb is a little more left than the other bushes
phil tripe enter trump and cruz
47 MPH = 76 Km/h
LOL THX

Du er dansker!

I'm liking that stable cam you got now
+Jax Plays Thanks!
+CarsandCameras I was about to recommend a gimbal on the last video
yea I meant to say gimbal lol
+CarsandCameras can you post a link to it?
It's just a 3 axis brushless gimbal, probably for a GoPro. Typically run between $200 and $300.
Hey john @Carsandcameras no need to feel stupid ! That was awesome bro !! Minus the mishaps with the bush and the steering. The fpv camera was sweet !
You guys remind me of "The Dukes of Hazard". This entire video was hilarious!! And that kart is super fast.
9:45 - "Don't run-over my flowers!"
"O-kaaaaay...."
Man I love the idle and overall sound of this thing. it sounds wicked. and can you please race the 670 with Johns cart?
great vid again guys! Glad he was ok... we all would have done the same thing with that kinda power on a cart, don't feel so bad bro... 47mph though man that thing was flying, cant wait to c it go faster in the future, really looking forward to it...u guys make my days with these vids! keep up the good work!
+Kevin Nyman thanks. we are defiantly not done with the gearing yet so you will see it go faster
+Isaac it'll be fine sounds good buddy!
Replace JEB with a stack of tires. At least tires will take a hit and are restackable.
+WVresident And looks lovely!
Treva Inzerillo
It'll be more like a go kart track too. lol
Are you calling Jeb weak👿
This is the BEST video yet!! Cant wait for more, right up my alley! Get some stones people!
I love how you guys had a video about your "new shop" and since have done everything in the same shop... lol. Can't wait for the buildoff!!!
That thing is Beast....and your neighbors must love you guys
this episode made my face hurt from laughing so much. thank you all for being our daily dose of sanity. we love you.. and Jeb
Wow, that steering wheel brings back memories. That came off one of the coolest car beds, It was a corvette with a removable hood and dashboard. I remember my father spending a fortune on it for me almost 30 years ago.
Love y'all! Keep up the good work!
+sebastian gerz thanks

3/4 of the video: Cool Gokart stuff, 1/4 of the video: Love you Jeb
~R.I.P Rest in Pieces Jeb~
Just had to come back and rewatch this episode since I got a 670. Forgot how funny this one was 😂. Are y’all gonna do another build off with the new property?
I can't believe I watched someone plow 18 year old bush on UA-cam. I thought that wasn't aloud here. ;)
allowed
on that day you won the Internet, freakin awesome.
It'll be fine
That was awesome! That bush jumped out right in front of you and you just took it out. That will teach those shrubs just stay out of your way
I think you have to adjust the torque converter and the clutch to hold the engine on the right rpm

I can 3d print adaptors to put different carbs on that engine. I just need some pictures and accurate measurements.

😂Haha😂
IKE IS THE MAN!! Greatness comes to those with the stones to take a chance. Man up John, it'll be fine.
Do you guys think you could ever possibly make a shifter cart, seems like something you guys could do to the 670
Rest in peace Jeb you were a phenomenal bush
Glad to see you were not hurt.
btw this video has inspired me to save up and get a bigger motor for my baja warrior, I had also found an old little rascal grandpa scooter that I am going to be putting a gas motor onto and having some fun with, and allof these videos have inspired me to do this, keep the videos coming, love the work you guys do here, and for future gokart builds maybe start welding on a ram bar on the front of every go kart haha

That was the most awsome shit I ever seen! She needs a turbo.
Kind of off subject but, where's Bert, or Burt been at? He was one of your "better" camera people. I STILL love this video. All in the name of fun, and the science behind it.

Did you guys get a glide cam?
+Matt Paff Nope. DJI OSMO.
Matt Paff No, but it uses a similar camera and gimbal/stabilizer system as the drone. It is hand held.
+CarsandCameras cool Ile look it up
+Matt Paff that's really cool. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for that?
Matt Paff They retail for around $650. Much cheaper than a similar camcorder, but it has been kind of glitchy so far and they can't be returned.
Wow that thing pulls away fast off the line, awesome!
I would seriously consider roll caging it and adding a bumper to the front. Also racing seatbelt. 47mph on a sketchy go cart!
+Travis Piper 47 on a sketchy go kart. i want 60 on a sketchy go kart lol
What size sprocket was used I want my cart to hit 100
Thanks guys! That brought a tear to my eye. R.I.P. JEB!!!
+David Regan HE LIVES ! i saw him today
If you ask me, that bush was a bit of a pushover. XD
+falloutboy aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh why didnt i say that !!!!!
I always wondered about installing a clutch in between the middle of the rear axle for limited easy turning but positive traction.
8:27 "famous last words" for anyone who missed the subliminal message.
Hey don't feel bad about the bush the steering wheel Etc. The way you guys are out there running those Vehicles you build keeps everything popping wrecking is part of the game. Take a Jeb sample to a nursery and ask someone who works there. They'll also tell you the best time to plant, soil treatment, etc.
Jeb is a hero , on two accidents
what it reads on 8:26 is Famous Last Words
love the intro, guys!
r.i.p. Jeb.
might as well add him to the pile, let him feel the Bern. lol
8:27 (Famous Last Words)
Anyone else catch that? lol
Alexander Cary thank you
at least he didn't say "hey fellas watch this!"

Love the fairlady on ramp. Drove one in 1990, when they were first out .,
Did I really just watch a funeral for a bush?
+Harry Edmonds Jeb deserved it. If I would have hit the tree going any faster I'd have probably been hurt.
+CarsandCameras Jeb will be missed
+CarsandCameras dude you broke the steering wheel. you're lucky you didn't snap you're wrist in half
It's been a year and I still miss jeb ;-;
Does anyone know which camera they are using in the speedtest? I realy like the speedometer like at @3:30. Is it a overlay from the camera or added afterwards?
+MrAesthet Ah nevermind. Found it myself. You can create something like this with the freeware called "Dashware". www.dashware.net/
+MrAesthet We actually used the Garmin Virb action camera.
That would be so crazy but awesome if you did that
+CarsandCameras do it for testing purposes only, I wanna see this thing run tonight
It looked more like 45, and on a dinky machine like this with no suspension it feels like it's doing 145.
love your work all the way from australia
+OneStopShot thanks
Hey I just realized!! They changed CARS amino to GARADGE amino

That cart sounds so flippin awesome. Y'all need to find a fat ass cam for that thing now plus dual carbs and maybe a vw air pump supercharger to help top end.

Private Clamp c
Kenny McCormick I don't trust someone that dies every episode and comes back the next like nothing happened
Do you have a build list and how to assemble the sprockets etc thansk
That's Reggie bush
I think it would be a very good idea for you guys to figure out an actual transmission for that bigger motor such as off of an older motorcycle or dirtbike. I love watching your videos and look forward to your future build
+Mark Cooper thanks
I was digging this :) keep up awesome work :)
@Isaac it'll be fine do you know why my torque converter isn't opening up when I'm in complete full throttle? It's on a custom chopper 212cc predator.
+angel recinos we had a problem like that and it turned out the bolt that bolts up the pulley to the engine was loose. im shure there are a few things that would cause it not to work. belt too long maby
'I'm gonna take it easy" x')
That was an amazing crash dude ^^
Man that things fast! and R.I.P Jeb, you will be missed :(
hey I've got a question, I'm new to Mini bike and go carts and i just purchased a 5/8 axle and was wondering what rim will fit a 5/8 axle for my mini bike project? Thanks in advanced guys!

Well, I'm glad you guys aren't ready for my Vette yet, because I just popped a head gasket! Gonna be taking the heads off next weekend and everything goes back together the following weekend. I'll be making and posting a lame video about it this weekend.
Your kidding me, I cant wait to watch this now O.O
Nice K5 in the background
👍👍
I didn't realize I was going to be watching a '70's porno today. I always thought Bush was better and now you've proven it. Thanks, youzens.
that thing hauls now love the videos keep em up.
+Hayden Braddock thanks
You guys need to get a TwoBrother Exaust on that VTwin man...It would sound amazing
At those speeds I would like to see you add a cage and proper harness. That Bush and tree incident could have been allot worse at 47 mph.
9:08 LOL :D Hey man, i love this video, and i would like to see it in my next crash compilation. Do you mind if i throw the crashes from this video to my next crash compilation ? I will give you full credits in the description..
my 212 predator no mods does 31mph and strong wheelies.
