When you guys were going for the top speed I tend to get nervous. One of my buddies when I was back in high school built a similar kind of kart with a Yamaha engine on it. I drove it before the big engine and the steering wheel weld broke on the steering shaft and I was left with nothing but a detached steering wheel in my hands. I went off the drive and hit a page wire fence and got pretty scraped up and burned my one leg from it rubbing on the tire. With the big engine his brother had it out and he ended up loosing control on a straight a way and went into the ditch and his body hit a power pole. He was wearing a helmet but was killed instantly. Please be careful, I would not want to see you guys get hurt!
When they went to the driveways edge and turned around in the grass, that's when you are supposed to floor it. Get the tires burnin a little in the grass and keep your foot in it hard as you lean forward and come out onto the concrete and leave 2 fat black nasty patches.
Lengthen the cart (responsibly with structural support) and you'll get more airflow to the engine. The seat and driver are blocking the cold air. Added bonuses - cooler air = more power, look cooler, knees not blocking the view. Just sayin'.
They could also move the engine a bit more forward of the axel depending on how the do it and help with weight distribution and keeping that front down
PunchingMegaTree dam. I get what they want tho. Although if it was me I'd just mount the wheelie bar at a 20-45 degree angle and just enough to clear the wheels on it
Awesome, my gokart does about 30 mph well 25 maybe. I have actually rolled it taking a corner. I thought it would stick like it usually does but we went over. My knees were stuck between the steering wheel and frame for like, 2 rolls before we separated and the kart flipped couple more times . I had to lay there and wiggle body parts to make sure l was ok. Funny how that made me realize that I am 43 and not 17 any more. Lol nice vids keep having fun guys.
Nice vid guy's....so, as you had mentioned earlier, & I know you are aware of it...@ 12:56 (til the end) the Left front tire isn't even touching the ground, so, then coming down from a wheelie....could be deadly......when the right grabs hard..........best of luck, be safe......just call me Captain Obvious..............
When things don't go quite the way you guys plan, Ike totally needs to do a Hank Hill impression. He sort of sounded that way while holding the camera earlier in this video and I about pissed myself laughing. The point being that it would probably get you guys a lot more click traffic just for the comedy value. People would come for the laughs and stay for the content. This seems like a win,win to me.
+I.C. karting Ya should go as big as you can go on the tav. It causes less sprocket wear vs a small front sprocket. Adjust speed accordingly with the rear sprocket.
You can only go so big with the tav sprocket and they're specific to tavs.. I say just throw a 40 tooth on the axle I think it b the easiest way... and those carbs are good if they jet em a lil richer. But higher gearing will make it accelerate harder too cuz low gear on it now must b like 14:1 with small tires that's useless
Yall are awesome, im in the process of restoring a dual axle frame somewhat similar to yalls, planning on getting the same engine, what type of clutch/torque converter did yall use. Thanks
After you get some pods, get a tuning jet kit. Several main jets so you can find the right tune with the header/carb setup. I would start with one size smaller than what you have in the new carbs. You have awesome flow . Header length and even the tips you have, type of gas, and weather all affect your optimal jetting. This thing is wicked.
I'd focus on sorting out the motor. Pods like you mentioned, better throttle cable system to synch the carbs, catch can or something for the oil problem, then start messing with the jetting on the carbs. Wider tires probably wouldn't hurt. You guys are awesome, thanks for the amazing content!
You can do a lot with porting and polishing, which you can do yourselves. Mill the head to boost the compression, and if you put a cam in it you will see a lot of difference. If you go with boring it out, and new piston you will get some more ponies. When you do all that, better hope you are on the grass when it blows up, because the oil will leave a really bad stain on the driveway. Ike the slippage you felt was the grass under the right rear wheel, and the full throttle ride on the jogging trail was a little scary, and it is good you are wearing a helmet. That way when you are laying up in the hospital with all your limbs hanging on wires, at least you will be able to see the nurses walk by.
This list makes sense to me. 0. Play with mixing your own fuel. (read up on what Acetone and Toluene can do for you) 1. Oil Catch can 2. Jet the carbs to the desired AFR 3. Rework the exhaust into a Y to gain scavenging effect. 4. Put timing marks on it so you can check timing, then make changes from there. 5. install some type of adjustable timing on it, either a distributor, or electronically controlled timing. 6. Port cylinder heads. 7. Tuned intake manifolds (proper length and diameter) for what RPM and flow you are running.
Come up with different exhaust designs and test for performance changes. For instance, someone in comments mentioned an H pipe design and I was thinking an X design, and maybe Y pipes design with one baffle. These ideas would be cheap enough and interesting for most of us. Maybe include what you guys do to correct the camber issue and address some safety issues, like a cage maybe? Anyway, thank you for these videos and the smiles and outright laughter they bring. *It'll be a'ight*
I have a 06 CBR 1000RR engine . The deal is this , you guys can have it for two years if you get it cleaned up , running and picked up from my house. As long as you guys return it in working condition in two years it's yours to play with. It's been sitting outside under a tarp for about 2 years. Its going to need some serious TLC but I'm sure you guys can handle it. I live in Fort Lauderdale FL
1995 whats wrong with 1995 it only seems like yesterday to me LOL Top work you two or three or four or how ever many there are each show, Yeah Im getting to be a old fart but you to young blokes are doing some old school stuff and having fun and learning along the way and even though this stuff might seem like a waste of time you blokes are learning some great life lessons Good onya's for keeping the dream alive love the show
You can go for cam timing if you want more :) You'll need to make or buy a timing wheel, find what is your current timing of opening and closing valves. Surely there is some angles what to modify. Your engine is designed to work at max 4000 RPM, so there are some opportunities. Easiest way, which I did, is to weld and grind the cams so you get the valves opened for longer and higher, which will increase the amount of fuel going in at higher revs, so more power at high revs = front wheels up!!! My "walk behind" lawn mower sounds like a competition 4-stroke dirt bike now :) But before that I'd recommend you to visit a DYNO man, and see your power and torque curves. Also easy way is just to increase a compression ratio. You have only 8.2:1, you can go up to 13:1, where you should switch to 98+ octane fuel...
Wider tires open up the jets, twin high flow air filters, a breather catch can higher pound valve springs and maybe better rockers, advanced timing key and possibly a performance cam and billet rod you can get about all of those at go power sports
what a great build guys!!!! I've built a cart with a 212cc predator all souped up like Campbells lol soon to be replacing the 212 with one of my 440cc two-stroke cow engines. A video will be uploaded when the beast is complete. so don't forget to check it out!!!!
You guys should look into adding some spindle springs to that front end. It will make for a softer landing and hopefully keep your spindles from bending more than they already have. Maybe little wider tires front and rear to help with traction taking off and at higher speeds.
awesome awesome stuff what is the gps app or whatever it may be that you use for speed? the orange circle thingy thanks keep up the great work Do some more mini bike stuff

Hi my name is payton potter Ya know I love your guys videos and I my self have two go karts but one needs wheels and the other is just a one wheel wonder I love watching you guys make videos and how well you guys get along
In all my life I never imagined I would ever hear anyone say "We upgraded from duct tape to the pizza box". ROFL I'm looking forward to how you "use that garlic butter container for something".
I had been wondering how one of those engines would perform on a go kart. Looks like a ton of fun. All you need for the oil tube is a catch can. Jeg's and Summit have lots of them, I run a Jaz plastic one on my big block Duster instead of a PCV system. It works great. Its got a breather element on top.
I feel like it didn't quite reach top speed seemed like it had more left in it, maybe try on a long straight road? Then again you guys know better than I do. Love the channel!!!
Hey CarsandCameras, you do all the videos on the 670cc engine with a torque converter. You should do a video and show how much the torque converter helps with everything. Torque converter vs. centrifugal clutch.
I BET......... If You Guys Messed With The Gearing On Your Kart, You Could Definitely Hit 100+Mph!!! BET! You guys should go further into customizing that GoKart and turn it into a Buggy. Fabricate an independent suspension setup and a round cage, instead of a box style cage so you would end up back upright in a case of a roll and Not upside down Lol!! Either way guys, yall build awsome GoKarts and MiniBikes, And yall Make Awsome Videos of this stuff, Its just Awsome to watch people customize, fabricate and build shit!!! Ive been subbed and following your channel, Keep up the great work!
cool video guys what sprockets are you running? just courious I am building my first kart and it does'nt have any yet. running predator 420 with 16" tires
get a slightly smaller sprocket for the axle, drill a hole in the lid of a small plastic bottle for the crank case breather, and some nice ram pipes on the carb intakes ;)) there should be plenty of cheap ones out there fellas. quite often the bearings on the kingpins drop to bits at the bottom, but can be difficult to tell unless you take it to bits, thats if it has any lol .... it could have brass bushes in it if its so old, maybe the brazing has split on the frame with all that extra weight.
Those slow motion wheelies with classical music playing, just completed my life.
3:55 That throttle response though...
😂😂😂 Right
Haha
😂😂😂
exactly it's crazy
Haha, no shit,
I think you guys should do a supercut of the neighbors dog running out to say hi.
Lol
When you guys were going for the top speed I tend to get nervous. One of my buddies when I was back in high school built a similar kind of kart with a Yamaha engine on it. My condolences
why do i always feel like watching king of the hill after these videos?
lmao, I do too
+ChrisHallett83 that dang old thing is fast man I mean like mmmmarrra fast man lol 670 is badass
Watching Ike wheelie this thing makes me happy and I don't know why. This kart is simply amazing!
thanks
Same. The 670 is a BEAST. Love it
You guys are so underrated
this is the 1st. time i ever saw a go kart wheelie! thanks guys. love your vids :)
them mufflers rusted fast man
All exhaust do that because they change temperature so much.
heat
spay paint them, heat resistant.
Even the high temp paint doesn't do well on exhaust
Yea they do
Let us know if you have any ideas for modifying this engine more! Other than a twin turbo EFI setup... We aren't made of money.
Big bore kit
Or a snowmobile motor old 440s make like 56hp
change the gearing to help the top speed
+Noah Unknown YESSSSSSS I have been saying that for a while now
You should put wider tires on the back
You should put better sticky tires and slowly make this thing a bracket go gart
track go kart** fn auto correct
yes
When they went to the driveways edge and turned around in the grass, that's when you are supposed to floor it.
Get the tires burnin a little in the grass and keep your foot in it hard as you lean forward and come out onto the concrete and leave 2 fat black nasty patches.
Yes! There's no use for power if it can never get to the ground!!
***** a massive "wang" ain't gonna do shit if it ain't dirt nasty low and fast as a civic on rice
that's what I love about this channel, they here about something and try it
Go kart wheelies and classical music are a match made in heaven.
lol. it was wonderful
I seriously like every vid before I even watch. Keep up the great builds!
thanks
Lengthen the cart (responsibly with structural support) and you'll get more airflow to the engine. The seat and driver are blocking the cold air. Added bonuses - cooler air = more power, look cooler, knees not blocking the view. Just sayin'.
Bump this. Excellent idea
They could also move the engine a bit more forward of the axel depending on how the do it and help with weight distribution and keeping that front down
PunchingMegaTree dam. I get what they want tho. Although if it was me I'd just mount the wheelie bar at a 20-45 degree angle and just enough to clear the wheels on it
+MyLonewolf25 forced air intake with a couple pipes that lead off to the side would help for better air flow
Joshua Cyrus that too
4:07 That throttle response though
Put a turbo on it.
i agree turbo it
Prob not gonna do anything
+MrRavenous TURBO=OVER POWER OVER POWER=INJURIES AND INJURIES=LESS VIDEOS....Do u see where im coming from?
+Aaron Larkin "they" (John) crashes it anyway
Ya thats i good i idea i like it
I love that little feeling of excitement I get when I see a new video of yours! they are always awesome!
thanks
LOVE IT I WANT THE GOKART!!
I knew it would rock, but I had no idea it would rock like that. You guys are awesome and that machine is stupid fast.
thanks
Awesome, my gokart does about 30 mph well 25 maybe. I have actually rolled it taking a corner. I thought it would stick like it usually does but we went over. My knees were stuck between the steering wheel and frame for like, 2 rolls before we separated and the kart flipped couple more times . I had to lay there and wiggle body parts to make sure l was ok. Funny how that made me realize that I am 43 and not 17 any more. Lol nice vids keep having fun guys.
lol. glad your ok
The music with the wheelies definitely made this video even better 😂😂
NOS
3:50 was awesome ^^ Nice soundtrack
Nice vid guy's....so, as you had mentioned earlier, & I know you are aware of it...@ 12:56 (til the end) the Left front tire isn't even touching the ground, so, then coming down from a wheelie....could be deadly......when the right grabs hard..........best of luck,
be safe......just call me Captain Obvious..............
Love the wheelie montage!
You need to smog pump supercharge this thing!
absolutely. :D
i have a raceing frame how can I mount my 5.5 b s it doesn't line up meaning clutch to sprocket the motor mounts to the side of me I need ideas
I've often wondered what happened to the kids from the movie alfalfa. And now I know. This is awesome
I say yank that 212 off and put a 670 on the racing cart! that would be fun!
Wouldn't fit
Make it fit
That's what she said
When things don't go quite the way you guys plan, Ike totally needs to do a Hank Hill impression. He sort of sounded that way while holding the camera earlier in this video and I about pissed myself laughing. The point being that it would probably get you guys a lot more click traffic just for the comedy value. People would come for the laughs and stay for the content. This seems like a win,win to me.
i bet if you put a bigger sproket on there you could push some serious speed
smaller sprocket* on axle would b more top speed.. bigger one on the tav would have the same effect but not as significant..
+I.C. karting
Ya should go as big as you can go on the tav. It causes less sprocket wear vs a small front sprocket.
Adjust speed accordingly with the rear sprocket.
2 ATV carbs and a smaller rear sprocket will give you more speed.
You can only go so big with the tav sprocket and they're specific to tavs.. I say just throw a 40 tooth on the axle I think it b the easiest way... and those carbs are good if they jet em a lil richer. But higher gearing will make it accelerate harder too cuz low gear on it now must b like 14:1 with small tires that's useless
the rear sprocket or the front, cuz the rear sprocket almost hits the ground when they are doing wheelies, but i guess it would make some nice sparks
Good times, and a great build! I just realized that thing has nearly the same displacement as my Yamaha FZ-07... and they're both wheelie monsters. :)
SMOG PUMP SUPERCHARGER! Get one!
ill donate the smog pump off my bronco, no clue if it works though
+N Perry Hell yeah! you rule! that's gonna make these guys go 70 MPH easy
+N Perry needs to be off an older Porsche 944 iirc. Basically a mini twin screw
You guys need to make an "it'll be fine" and "thank you go power sports" compilation
Take a pcv valve of like a Miata and put it inline of the crankcase vent
Most small engines have a pcv valve but when it gets higher Rpms then it begins to fail and starts pissing oil
+MaineMan yeah, use a higher quality pcv valve made for a larger engine like a Miata one because yet the engine is small it's bigger than the 670
+MaineMan maybe one of those mini pod filters too
pcv valve or not the engine still needs to vent crank pressure. they just need to T it off and run those lines to the pod filters.
Roadkill on Friday and this on Monday well I call that an extended weekend
you need a oil catch can on that crankcase hose.
Johns laugh at 11:45 is awesome!
I wonder if any women watch this channel
Hmmm, I wonder how far this commenter has his head up his ass....
+TwilightTheShooter I wonder if you realize just how much of a pick you are.
TwilightTheShooter oh wow I wonder how much of a 9 year old you are.
+fightfanian I am a massive prick to stupid people
+MrHappyTaco420 guess again, for I am at least 10
Your camera is the best quality I've seen on UA-cam
Great video guys! Man, I'm glad I stumbled on yalls channel! 👍🏻
I love when y'all say it will be fine! 😂😂😂😂
Yall are awesome, im in the process of restoring a dual axle frame somewhat similar to yalls, planning on getting the same engine, what type of clutch/torque converter did yall use. Thanks
Love the music for the wheelies

flint on the bottom of the wheelie bar....... an awesome spark wake!
These guys are like roadkill but a whole lot cheaper lol.
oh no johns driving, hide the bushes!
loving the build looks wicked fun haha, looks like that sprocket is bottoming out though
45mph! You are getting close to being able to get the kart street legal!
Too much fun! Great toys guys!
1995 whats wrong with 1995 it only seems like yesterday to me LOL
Top work you two or three or four or how ever many there are each show, Yeah Im getting to be a old fart but you to young blokes are doing some old school stuff and having fun and learning along the way and even though this stuff might seem like a waste of time you blokes are learning some great life lessons
Good onya's for keeping the dream alive
love the show
thanks. 95 is when i graduated high school. lol
Hey ike and john when are you going to do the build of with the 3 go karts I was so excited when you goes said you were going to do it
I'm waiting for all of us to get together at the same time
At least the camber looks cool! And man that thing makes johns go.kart look like it has a governor haha

3:49 he’s so majestic 😂
what a great build guys!!!!
Once the slow motion kicked in, I was hooked! LMAO!
Every time I get a notification from this channel I immediately run to the couch and grab my ipad
awesome awesome stuff
what is the gps app or whatever it may be that you use for speed?
the orange circle thingy
thanks
keep up the great work
Do some more mini bike stuff
go to parts store, pick up a pcv valve, oil problem solved, do advance timing if you can, an advanced timing give a lil more pop as the piston goes past tdc, you can also port match and polish the heads... that will put the mo boogie in it..... cool vids keep it up
No matter what that thing still needs a wheelie bar, nice work guys...
Hi my name is payton potter Ya know I love your guys videos and I my self have two go karts but one needs wheels and the other is just a one wheel wonder I love watching you guys make videos and how well you guys get along
cool. glad you like the vids
In all my life I never imagined I would ever hear anyone say "We upgraded from duct tape to the pizza box". ROFL
I'm looking forward to how you "use that garlic butter container for something".
I had been wondering how one of those engines would perform on a go kart. Looks like a ton of fun. All you need for the oil tube is a catch can. Jeg's and Summit have lots of them, I run a Jaz plastic one on my big block Duster instead of a PCV system. It works great. Its got a breather element on top.
thanks
Lol whats coming out the bottom of the kart at 4:00 ? looks like a plug?
That is the fastest I've you guys go down the testing road!
Man, does the 670 rip or what?! That thing looks like so much fun.
This might be a crazy idea, but have you guys ever considered nitrous?
lol. no nitrous on this
try stiffining up the wheele bar and plz smog pump supercharger
+Isaac it'll be fine I mean in general. Doesn't have to be the 670. It's wild enough without the funny gas. Haha
lol. yea we have talked about it
or get a real engine and put a 450 race bike engine on it
another C&C video, just what i fucking needed right now. super bless
Love The Build
I feel like it didn't quite reach top speed seemed like it had more left in it, maybe try on a long straight road? Then again you guys know better than I do. Love the channel!!!
u guys are awesome plz try and find a manco dominator and modify it i have a manco dominator they are so fun
I'm seriously considering hooking one of these beasts up to my Dnepr K750 gearbox and using it for my sidecar rig
I swear this is just live action King of the Hill.
My go kart has a small engin no moding and it gose 45 or 46 klh
Hey CarsandCameras, you do all the videos on the 670cc engine with a torque converter. You should do a video and show how much the torque converter helps with everything. Torque converter vs. centrifugal clutch.
thanks again for your awesome videos and I think you should reinforce the frame and put a huge cam on it.oh and I love the build!
thanks
taping up blower housing also drilling low speed jet in both carbs cutting each fan blade off the fan also helps
I BET......... If You Guys Messed With The Gearing On Your Kart, You Could Definitely Hit 100+Mph!!! BET! You guys should go further into customizing that GoKart and turn it into a Buggy. Ive been subbed and following your channel, Keep up the great work!
Just get a breather filter from the parts store for that breather. Or if you wanna get fancy you can fabricobble a catch can.
Ram air would be pretty cool. Also, make some CarsandCameras stickers to put on it and sell. That will definitely add performance 😃
Panty hose solves everything, I tie fishing rods up with it, my grandad has used them as pulleys and so much more haha
I like how Isaac answers every comment :D
nice! drag race was cool!
cool video guys what sprockets are you running? just courious I am building my first kart and it does'nt have any yet. running predator 420 with 16" tires
Try adding a small round K&N filter on the crankcase breather tube to help with the oil loss upon liftoff.
get a slightly smaller sprocket for the axle, drill a hole in the lid of a small plastic bottle for the crank case breather, and some nice ram pipes on the carb intakes ;)) there should be plenty of cheap ones out there fellas.
quite often the bearings on the kingpins drop to bits at the bottom, but can be difficult to tell unless you take it to bits, thats if it has any lol .... it could have brass bushes in it if its so old, maybe the brazing has split on the frame with all that extra weight.
That motor is a beast you can get taller gears for more top speed and I bet it still has enough Kaunas to pull the front wheels
instant throttle response... A W E S O M E
Another great video! Do you find that the mufflers make any difference? (sounds just as loud on vs off). Get a catch can of some sort on there ASAP.
in person the mufflers are noticeably different. it doesn't make my ears bleed anymore. lol
