Once again epic shots and advice. My 8 yr old daughter watches videos of teenagers watching videos of others 'teensgers' watching videos!! Usually, when I check their view count, it's like 8 million plus!! WTF!!!! Here, you provide education, entertainment and epic photos. I know UA-cam seems to have become the younger generations TV set but I sure hope you get the recognition you deserve for all the amazing content you give us. Thank you so much, Adam. I am a struggling musician and a photography fanatic from Vancouver Island and I share your content with those I can. Keep going!
Was refreshing to hear you call yourself a "tourist." All too often I hear photographers talking negatively about all those pesky tourists getting in the way..... just because our cameras are bigger and we have tripods doesn't make us anything but tourists. Enjoyable video.
A new video from Adam, my favourite Saturday evening treat! The high/low contrast section will have me looking for rainy days this fall for sure. My favourite image was the last one of the lighthouse. Thanks for sharing, travel safe.
Dramatic light is appreciated so we don't have to D&B the hell out of our photos! xD Nice one again, so fun to see other photographers take on locations I've been myself :)
I have learned so much from every video, you inspire me to learn to use my camera better. I am in awe of your spectacular abilities to show us stunning landscapes from your perspective. On top of that, you and Gavin are so funny, I would rather watch you guys than anything on tv! My new goal is that I will understand my Nikon and how to use it well enough to benefit from one of your classes within the next 5 years. Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing. What’s amazing to me about landscape photography is how you never realize the small places on earth where peace flows through our beautiful earth.
Nice one Adam. In Gavins last video you had a blue top with thumb holes trying to find out the make. Love the lighthouse shots a little different. And the waterfall again stunning greens
I remember when you had mentioned in the past that you were photographing gardens for many years. I think the experience you gathered from doing that reflects to how you photograph landscapes today, because photographing gardens in overcast/cloudy skies are ideal conditions. Experience speaks for itself, those RAW files tell the whole story. great video, Adam!
Awesome video again. Thanx Adam. So great to see your viewpoints on these locations i’ve visited myself multiple times. Truly inspiring to watch your videos.
It’s a great angle/viewpoint of the lighthouse from that side, only downside is the walk back up to the top! Those steps are killers! It’s great seeing others take and approach to places you know well yourself. 👍👍
Thank you very much for the instructional items Adam very much appreciated. Can't see you in Scotland but I hope maybe in southern Utah next year. Beautiful photographs.
Great information in this video! Visiting Scotland this Fall and both places on the list to photograph. I have never seen an image of Neist Point from that side it has always been from the cliff top....perhaps hubby and I shall have to split up to photo from both locations. Looking forward to the escape from flatland SW Ontario. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge.
Great work Adam, when I went to Neist Point it was so windy I could hardly open the car door and going down to the lighthouse was just not an option. Going back in September....fingers crossed!
Nice mate. Lovely locations. I can’t imagine going to Skye and not climbing up to store. It’s such a shame there’d be 10,000 other togs there. Great vid mate. 😊👍🏻
Thanks Adam. I really enjoyed this video. It was interesting to see the raw images for the untouched differences in contrast. What a lovely setting the lighthouse is in! As usual, your drone photography is superb! I am curious about the ISO 31, since the base ISO for that camera is 64. I have seen the "lo" ISO setting, so I am guessing it was one of these. My question is, what would be the impetus for using this this "lo" setting? Is there a trade off of some sort that makes NIKON describe if as "LO" and not with a number? I have not experimented with this, and I'm quite curious. Funny - I'm realizing as I write how reluctant I am to 'play' with things I don't understand. Lol!
I thought those clouds in the last couple of images were just enough. The image didn't need any added drama IMHO, just something to say sunset or early blue hour. Nicely done Adam.
Having just had to deal with high contrast photos from an event shoot, I can appreciate your decision to wait it out on the waterfall pic. I really liked the second shot. And that coastline to go along with the lighthouse is quite wonderful.
" Brides Veil Waterfall " is such a beautiful spot and you have captured it beautifully , the 1st 2 images are quite stunning but the 3rd one has to be one of the best compositions that I have seen of the falls , and your processing of it is just superb , Neish Point , well I hope you enjoyed the walk out, it really is a beautiful spot , not the best of roads to get there although they have improved it over the last couple of years , your images from there , although the lack of cloud are again something special , you can take a camera to any special spot but it takes someone with a special eye for composition to capture Images as you do , just excellent work , p.s. I hope you enjoyed the walk back up to the top , with the amount of visitors there { especially the older ones like me L.O.L.} they should really consider installing a lift , take care , Phil
I also always wait for the sun to go in front of the sun when I photograph waterfalls ;-) Was nice to see photos of this waterfall, with actually just the waterfall. I never found the photo with the Stor in the background that great. But the waterfall itself is actually quite a nice subject. I also liked the Neist Point shot from below despite the clear skies. In my latest vlogs I had similar problems.
The weather conditions you had were so different from when I was there in October last year! The day we were there the rain was horizontal, wind 50-100k from the north, visibility poor at best! A severe case of landscape photographers disappointment followed, considering I traveled from Australia with high expectations 🙁. Must try again one day. 🙏
