Thanks mam. Recently my reimbursement claim from Niva Bupa was denied citing they don't cover for OPD. However, the prescription was for multiple Physiotherapy sessions which should have come under Daycare treatment. Even the escalations to the Grievance Redressal didn't work. Any suggestions?

I need some genuine advice for the mediclaim of my uncle who expired three months back. The hospital didn’t provide me cashless facility and HDFC ERGO didn’t reply my several mails sent to them writing that the hospital is not providing me cashless facility and huge funds are needed for running the treatment as the patient was under ventilator. I want to know what action can be taken against the insurance company for not responding my mails. In the absence of funds my uncle expired. Kindly revert me.

Besides it I wrote to IRDA, state & central government innumerable times but not a single reply came from anyone of the above. As you are associated from insurance sector since last so many years therefore tou are requested to guide me so that I can take action against the insurer. Most disappointing thing was when my uncle was admitted while being on ventilator I had sent so many mails to HDFC writing that the hospital is not providing cashless facility and the daily treatment is very much expensive. I wrote i do not have funds to continue the treatment therefore requested to instruct the hospital to provide me cashless facility. Can you believe inspite of sending around 10 mails in 2 days they replied me after 10 days knowing that the situation was so critical. And that reply came only after being complained to IRDAI, else this company is so insensitive for their customers. I need your sincere help to take action against HDFC ERGO. Please guide me 🙏

So on the day of admission, hospital's Insurance Desk *'P. A. to Cashless'* के लिए apply किया (for those whose policy is less than two pol. years, one should apply the P. A. to Cashless 3-7 days prior to admission, if planned Hospitalization). Rcvd initial approval within 39 mins of the mail sent to the insurer from hospital's Ins. Desk. On the day of discharge, within around 1hr 30 mins of sending final list, we got the clearance from the hospital and got the patient released. Being an insurance & fin. professional myself, it was easy.
