Tried this tip, didn't really believe it would work, but... it worked brilliantly first time! I put 5 differently-shaped candles in the freezer (include one tall ridged pillar exactly like this) for 5 minutes; the first 4 came out of the moulds immediately, and the last 1 had to go back in for a further 5 mins but also came out easily after that. It's such a genius tip. Thankyou!
I wish i watched this video an hour ago, now I do not have anything to pull my candle out of the mold.. 😂 That was helpful. I could not find any info about this in my language. Thanks! ❤
Great video! How many grams of wax would be needed for a candle like this? Trying to decide if it is worth making candles for my wedding, or just buying...
I have a very similar candle but it’s a small pillar heart candle and I’ve tried so many methods and no luck! The candle removes after a loooot of pushing but for some reason the mould scrapes the candle on it’s way out and then the bottom breaks every time 🤦🏻♀️ I had it in the fridge for 1 hour today followed by 20 mins in the freezer 😭 no luck. Whereas my shell candles worked a treat!
Oh no!! Some of the moulds don’t actually work as moulds for candles for sure 😭 I’ve had that happen to a square pillar candle with ridges and no method can make it come out right!! Hope yours works better as time progresses but definitely easier with some moulds rather than others which are more of a lost cause 😭😭
Oh my god my mind is blown hahahaha! Thank you for this! This design is indeed removable on the other end!! Although for some of the other shapes the top isn’t removable so then the method works there too! x
This is literally just practice 😭😭 I did the big David heads and kept breaking the nose off! It’s still hit and miss these days haha but am slowly getting better!
Hi there!! Ooh I’m not sure - I do know that I always use soy pillar wax and it usually fills in but as the wax shrinks when it’s cold sometimes it doesn’t look like it’s filled to the top when they’ve set! Sometimes I top it up when it’s still warm but have started to shrink, and sometimes I just smooth the bottom (I have another video for this!) Hope that helps! x
I ordered candle mould just 1 candle perfect removed from mould but after that when i try to make another and remove then it suck hard in mould when i pull it got broken😭
@@Relax44990 oh no 😭😭 don’t let it discourage you too much! Silicon moulds are much easier to remove (and also the shell moulds are a sure win every time!!) 🥺
Hi, Watch your video and tried this several time but it isn’t working. I used paraffin wax with no additives. Any other suggestions? Any ideas? Bit desperate now
Hi lovely! Oh no!! I only know that this works with soy wax. Not sure about paraffin! Sometimes the mould just isn’t compatible - have you tried the paraffin wax with other moulds and this method?
Freezing does help release them from the side but you can take off the bottom of the mould and it will allow air to pass through, it should slide out without doing any of this

Hello Steph, I watched this video and followed your instructions. It worked out for me. Big Relief! Thank you so much.
Thanks for giving this Tip, its very useful for taking wax castings out of plastic molds.
Thanks, just got plastic moulds and was worried trying to get candles out without destroying them. Will now try your tip x
Did it work? You didn't melt the plastic??
Woww...I don't believe it really works...thanks a ton...
Thank you! I just bought some molds like and had no idea how to use it! It makes sense. I'll give it a try👍
Amazing! Good luck girl!! They’re so easy and fun to make! 💕🥰
Do you prepare the mould in some way before pouring the candle into the mould? I’ve heard of people using some kind of oil
I tried, it finally worked. thank you so much
Thank goodness for that 🤩 Thanks for sharing 😘
Have you used a mould release spray or something else on the inside walls of the mould?
You are a life saver!!!!
Thank you for watching 🥺

Yay! So glad to hear that 🥰
Great video! How many grams of wax would be needed for a candle like this?
Trying to decide if it is worth making candles for my wedding, or just buying...
How do you wick it? Could you please do a video on that as well?
Tysm!!!! It worked!
Thank you, thank you thank you
there’s this hack i saw where u lightly rub oil inside the mould before pouring ur wax in that way it slides through easily later on.
Ooh! That does sound like it would work! Will have to try it!
Thk❤so much
Can you make video on how to clean such candle mould from inside if wax sticks on side
Hallo Steph, I read some article that we should spray some oil before we pour the melted wax. Does it make sense to you?
Wait, what oil do you use? Can I use coconut oil or vaselin for it?
Would that work with silicone mold
Hi, i have the same type of mould, but like a spiral version. My candle is stuck... does this work with the spirals as well?
Same shit
Does anyone know how much wax is used for each candle please? I'm doing mine now and will be trying this method.

💗THANK YOU!💗
I just received my mold in the mail, and it didn’t come with instructions!
How do you wash these moulds?🤗
That plug thing is removable so you just push the candle out. You supposed to push from plug side
Oh my god my mind is blown hahahaha! Thank you for this! This design is indeed removable on the other end!! Although for some of the other shapes the top isn’t removable so then the method works there too! x
Do you have any suggestions for removing bigger silicone moulds? Everything unmoulds so well minus one little piece :(
This is literally just practice 😭😭 I did the big David heads and kept breaking the nose off! It’s still hit and miss these days haha but am slowly getting better!
Life saver
Last time I used that kind of plastic mold it all leaked through that tiny little hole under it for wicks. Any tips to prevent that?
Ooh yes stop it with blue tack !
Hi! Any tips on getting the wax to fill all the edges? I’m finding it sets with some areas not filled in.

Hi i sm from India your ideas nice please send me more idea s

Oh my gosh no!! :( Have you tried this method to remove? Hopefully it will help you!! 😭😭
@@STEPHYTSTAYSHOME yes i tried this but not worked 😣
Oh no!! we also had one mould where this did not work 😭😭 it might be the wrong shape / material (we ended up throwing that mould away!)
@@STEPHYTSTAYSHOME its ok i just through my mould in dustbin now i hate making candles

But with water won’t the candle get wet?

No I bought the paraffin wax special for the pillar candle. I will try with a heat gun? Thank for replying
Is this soy wax? If I pull the wick, it slide off from the candle 😭
Yes soy wax!! Oh gosh I wonder why!! Using this method makes getting the candle out a lot easier so hopefully this will work for you!!
@@STEPHYTSTAYSHOME I tried pushing it to the other side and it worked! TY!

Putting a candle in the freezer makes my candle sweat.
This could have been a 20 second video
been trying this with paraffin wax and it wont budge
Thank you!!!❤
