This is my favorite leather - great to work with!! Stunning Bible and so well done ( The video doesn't do the color justice. It's such a warm olive with a hint of golden tones in the distressing)
Looks lovely. Agree with having the maps on matte card stock. The bible itself looks amazing. Dare I say, Beau, that those ribbons should be a tad longer! (Tim Nickels would be with me! 🤣😂. Loved your ribbon segment on Tim Wildsmith’s channel). Just joking. Thanks again.
I love the Spurgeon SB! I have the genuine leather edition in KJV. My only wish is that His notes were not updated (to match the language of the KJV). But it is a great bible that goes well with my spurgeon 10 vol. sermon set, hymnal, and morning and evening devo.
What I love about this bible is the risk that ICA (In Christ Alone) took with the raised hinges. The reason why I say it is a risk is because I have seen several people try similar work and it turned out looking cheap. ICA took the risk and it really paid off. It has produced an elegant look of something ancient for the modern believer. I love it. The fact that he did this for a Spurgeon Study Bible gives it an added bonus. The Spurgeon CSB Study Bible has been underserved and has not garnered the attention it deserves, in my humble opinion. The content is great but the manufacturers covers have left much to be desired. This elevates its status. I am in love with this bible. If you own a Spurgeon then reach out to ICA to make it special. You don't have to do the exact same design or colors but give it an excellent cover that matches the excellent content within.

I love the silver gilt line to match the page gilding. It's an under-utilized color imo.
Nice I have a ESV notetaking bible I need rebound. It came with bonded leather.
