Because of the last episode with Luke giving Grogu the choice, as soon as I saw the X Wing with R2 I knew instantly that it was Grogu and he had chosen to go back to Mando. (I was so happy I squealed). I was so losing my mind during this BoBF episode and had fun watching it.
I think Luke showing up would have been too much of a "Deus Ex Machina" situation.. he is way too powerful. Boba's posse needed to win the day on their own.
I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one sad about the two Gamorrean’s deaths. They were Boba’s first bodyguards besides Fennec and stayed loyal to both of their masters and to Boba til death. They should’ve lived to see the outcome. Tatooine is finally at peace after so many years and they deserved a peaceful rest of their career as guards. I understand it was necessary for someone on Boba’s side to die otherwise it would be unrealistic, but it’s still really sad to see.
My thought on the Mods bikes (note - not saying they are well executed, just on the story aspect of them). These are kids who grew up in a desolate, brown town, on a desolate brown world. It makes sense to me that they would look to add color into their life in some way. The bikes actually remind me of the early PC modding days (90s) after the age of the beige box computers. Also, baby Grugu curling up with the baby Rancor? Such cuteness.
I agree there's nothing wrong with them from a narrative perspective they just feel out of place but that is intentional I just don't find them cool but there's nothing I can say really bad about them
I think Luke and Grogu served their purpose to eachother. Luke has unlocked Grogu's memories, so now the kid knows the Jedi order is not The Way, and Grogu has shown Luke that he can be a good teacher, he just needs to find the right students. *awkward side-glance*
I feel that will come up in Mando season 3. Din now has to retake Mandalore and take a dunk in the radioactive springs so I see him teaming up with Bo Katan and her Nite Owls to do so. In the meantime, more of Grogu’s memories will resurface.
Still think that Slave I would be more effective than a Rancor :D But I must admit that the Rancor is fast. The castle is quite far away from the city.
@@BossBast1 using slave 1 would make waaay more damage, that's why boba didn't used that, plus he couldn't return back to the palace, he was stuck in the city for the whole time
Those speeder bikes remind me of old vacuum cleaner we had when I was a kid. It was a late 70's model with sparkly green paint and brass accents. I can hear it in my head every time those speeders creep by. But hey, you know how it goes. You win some, you loose some.
Something that strikes me is that they have gone out of thier way to avoid Boba and Luke seeing each other. Not only in this series, but in the finale of Mandalorian S2. Boba just left mid fight before Luke got there! Then in this episode Luke sends Grogu by himself with only R2 as protection!? I love R2 and he's capable of handling stuff, but he's no Jedi! Seems to me they're planning something in the future with Luke and Boba. Oh and Cad ain't dead!
Nice review, great to see some positivity on youtube! I just love how this show is BUILDING something. This show is just a tiny part of the journey we have ahead of us. The sequels were all about finishing stuff, concluding stories and putting all the classic characters to rest. And while I love those movies too, they were also quite frankly super-depressive. Now Star Wars feels alive and fresh again, and we can stay curious about how it will be heading for many years ahead of us!
What a great season end. Watched with my son 7 years old, had to set our alarms.... (No worries he's home-schooled) my sons face, reaction meant as much to me if not more than the episode... The worst is theories... Just let it be, enjoy, it the best since the OG. I know I was there in 1977.
Me to i was there in 1977 by myself as a 9 year old when the price of a ticket was less than 50 cents which is like Half a dollar for thoses that dont know what that is.it was a great end to the season ànd hope the haters didn't spoil the chance of a 2nd season .
I love that you work hard to keep things optimistic- it really pays respect to the universe we love. You are the kind of fellow fan that makes me smile. I would have liked to see the Boba character be a bit more mysterious. What makes him interesting is when a moment arrives, you look at that helmet and wait to see how he is going to move through the situation. That would really make a man you would want to get behind. He didn’t say much in his movie appearances and we loved him. That being said the actor responsible for 20 years of being our clones and bounty hunter deserves his time on the stage.
Totally agree, even though Grogu is much older than Luke, he's still a small child in terms of maturity! I think the writers wanted to draw a parallel between Luke abandoning his training to help his friends in Empire Strikes Back, and Grogu's decision to abandon the Jedi way to return to Din.
Think people didn’t really like this episode and are calling it mediocre because of the absolute perfection of episodes we got the previous two weeks. But still a solid finale. Just wish Cad was still alive and the robots really didn’t kill anyone
For me it was more due to the lack of dialogue surrounding the conclusion. Boba should of definitely been the one confronting the Pykes as his whole arc surrounded around the death of the raiders.
Whatever was on Cad Bane’s chest started beeping and flashing when he got stabbed. Is it possible he had some sort life support system? I mean he’s got the tubes that allow him to breathe in space and keep him from being force choked.
Season 2 THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT Boba establishes a large new empire as he comes to learn of his sister, Omega. An ecstatic Boba seeks to locate her and declares she will become his rightful heir. The declaration is a brutal betrayal to Fennec Shand, disgruntled with the thought of Boba giving away his rule to an undeserving Omega. Boba and Fennec locate and discover Omega. Boba smiles at her excited to speak for the first time before being abruptly murdered by Fennec Shand as she rants, “SCREW RESPECT.” Killing him on spot in front of a stunned Omega. Coming to learn this man was her never to be known last surviving sibling, Omega becomes enraged with vengeance. Sides of Boba’s empire grapple and split between staying loyal to a murderous Fennec or staying loyal to Boba’s wishes of a Omega rule. A season long battle ensues culminating with Omega falling into darkness as she cuts through waves of opposition before making her way to brutally murdering Fennec Shand. The season ends with a pan out shot of Omega walking toward a ship, it’s the Slave 1. She enters the cockpit and dawns the Boba Fett helmet, season ends.

One of my favorite moments in the episode is when Cad Bane says "you are so much like you're father". That to me was a total Luke moment. Luke didn't succumb to the dark side and become like his father, but Boba Fett is exactly like his father and he followed through as such. There was a good parallel there and I quite enjoyed that
End of credit scene, cut to shady unknown spaceship floating hidden in an asteroid field. Inside we see Hutts, Pikes, Black Sun and at the end of the table Qira from the Crimson dawn. all look disgruntled by the news. Qira, bring me Boba Fetts head. The pikes tremble, The hutts smile, from the shadows an army of known and unknown bounty hunters step forward. Play Boba Fett theme song... or give us modder with piss yellow hair. Whatever.
Felt a bit weird that Luke didnt bring him, and just R2. For me personally had a taste of "not my padawan? Okay go away now, i dont care anymore where you end up after the landing."
Yeah. Luke in Mando S2: "I will pledge my life to protect the Child." Luke in BoBF: "GTFOH!" Lol. Hopefully Luke has a good reason and this is not leading to the Jake Skywalker.
You have become one of weekly "Must Watch" Star Wars reactions! I love what you are doing. Grogu is the Mandalorian from the title of the series, not Din! Think about it. He is a Foundling. It is really his story.
I agree with you about those bikes! They look like something from Back to The Future. Silly! Loved your commentary 🙂 Your reaction to Grogu’s reunion with Mando was very sweet. That’s the new “daddy” in you coming out 😋🙂
My biggest issue with this episode is Luke sending the first force sensitive child he’s found in 5 years, since the events in Return of the Jedi back who knows how far to Tatooine completely unprotected. I mean I trust R2 , and yeah he’s a very good and experienced pilot but he’s still just one droid. The galaxy can be a dangerous place in Star Wars and anyone could have captured or worse destroyed that X-Wing. I understand Luke taking him back to Mando but I just can’t comprehend why he wouldn’t take him personally to make sure he arrived safely. It’s not like he had anything more important to do. Meditating I assume. Apart from that a decent episode though.
Yeah I get that they made it that way so Luke doesn't get involved in the fight and made Boba's team way too OP but logic wise it didn't make sense to send him away like this like what else is more important than ensuring his safe return to him rn? lol
I knew people would be expecting Luke this episode. Almost too much seeing him in the last episode for so long. Glad we didn't get him though. Focus of the show needed to shift back to Boba
Now that your a dad, you understand the connection between Din Djarin and Grogu makes any father emotional. When Grogu leaves with Luke made me very emotional cause as a dad myself cause seeing your child leave is heartbreaking. One of my fav Star Wars reactors! Word is Dave and Jon said that they have big plans for Luke in the future they didn’t perfect his face to do away with him. I had big expectations and theory’s for this episode but it’s season 1. We need to wait for next season to really see what’s up.. if we get another season
This episode stakes felt weird. There were no fear for the main characters. Only the Majordomo was in danger. There was so much plot armor. Black Krrsantan for example - like he got surrounded by 20 trandosians, no harm, after that he got shot 30 times and he was fine and running 10s later. And there was not space fight, at all :/
Cad Bane was a great character, but I also hated him because of how callous and effective he was at killing good people and getting away. I always wanted Obi-Wan to kill him early on, but it was nice to have a villain around that posed a serious threat whenever he appeared. I'm glad he's finally dead. I'm sure Dave and Jon can write new villains of the same calibre.
Skyman… I have watched your reaction at least five or six times. Your utter disdain for the Mods is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time. I laughed until I cried. 😂😂😂
The Book of Boba Fett is an integral part of "The Mandalorian" saga, you cannot move from Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian to Season 3 like it's a standalone series.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad that you cried when Grogu and Din reunited. I've watched a number of your reactions and you're definitely more reserved in terms of expressing your emotions. That being said, I can tell the reunion really hit you in the feels like you said. I really hate that men in society are conditioned to harden their heart and not express their emotions because it's a show of weakness. Thank-you for expressing the opposite: the warmth in your heart and the strength of your soul to love and care for another living being. Keep going brother.
The Luke fake out hurt a little, I'm not gonna lie. I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed he didn't fly there in person, but to think of it practically...It was likely a budget thing...Basically it was a choice of either more deepfake Luke, or Boba riding the Rancor...Who knows though, I'm speculating. I agree on the ending scene idea, that would have been cooler to see them all celebrating at the palace, and it would have creating a neat contrast to the way it was when Jabba was in power to how it is now. It also feels like we needs a good celebration end scene for one of these shows.
@@flamebreaker7318 True. For it to have worked, they would have had to really raise the stakes considerably. That, or just had him involved on a minor level, like he didn't join the official fight, but got caught up in some fallout...Just to have as a scene...I donno.
You’d of thought luke would of still done more for grogu - he surely would of felt an attachment to him and as he’s a rare force user he would not want him just wondering around with mando
Better for him to follow his own path and not feel pressured to be something else. On a side note I felt some irony in the choice he offered. the shirt and Yoda's saber. While the attachment of one choice was obvious, the other offer also represented an attachment.
As a "Star Wars" episode 8/10 As a "finale" episode 6/10 I got too hyped after the 11/10 back to back episodes we got from Bryce and Filoni. Was really expecting a Kenobi tease for the end credits too.
I already really enjoyed the episode, but wasn’t fully satisfied. But your reaction made me like it a bit more. Super fun season and finale. Nothing more, nothing less.
I loved this episode. As much as I loved episode 6 with all the cameos, we needed a finale like this that was just rounding the series up and straight to the action, as well as setting the opening for Mando season 3. Could it have been better? Sure, I think there's been better episodes than this one. Cameos are great, but they can't keep throwing them in to every episode for fan service, or they'll just start to lose their appeal.
Hate that the two previous episodes were making the scope of the show bigger but then in the finale, the pikes aren't controlled by anyone bigger? No crimson dawn, no hutts? Felt off imo

Because of the last episode with Luke giving Grogu the choice, as soon as I saw the X Wing with R2 I knew instantly that it was Grogu and he had chosen to go back to Mando. (I was so happy I squealed). I was so losing my mind during this BoBF episode and had fun watching it.
One of the most wholesome things to ever see. When Grogu jumps in Mandos arms.
Should've been the mods...
I’m livid about that
Man, I was really waiting for your reaction 👌
me too
Grogu jumping into his arms made me tear up so quick. ❤️❤️❤️
I agree there's nothing wrong with them from a narrative perspective they just feel out of place but that is intentional
I just don't find them cool but there's nothing I can say really bad about them
Your reactions to Mando and Grogu are so endearing. That's why I keep coming to your channel. Keep up the good work.
Glad you enjoyed the episode. Love the genuine joy for Star Wars in your videos! Excited to see these videos again starting May 25!!
I hope Grogu keep remembering his training and become more and more powerful.
15:17 Every dad is gonna cry at this reunion. Mine are all grown up and I still cried.
When I first heard the rancor coming, my thought was, "Skyman is gonna lose his mind."
Still think that Slave I would be more effective than a Rancor :D But I must admit that the Rancor is fast. The castle is quite far away from the city.
@@BossBast1 I thought the same
@@BossBast1 using slave 1 would make waaay more damage, that's why boba didn't used that, plus he couldn't return back to the palace, he was stuck in the city for the whole time
Man watching boba and mando fight together is the best part they are both badass it’s like a video game
This guy gets it! Enjoy the ride and sharing Star Wars with a new generation. May the force be with you and your son.
Sorry but theories are awesome
But I understand why you say theories are bad
@@Spiky-gs3eg of course it’s awesome to speculate but people get in their head what is “supposed” to happen then get mad if doesn’t
Love that Boba Fett show happened because I found you. Love the videos man cant wait for all Star Wars stuff this year!
It's odd that Luke didn't bring Grogu back. That just seems so unsafe and careless.
I know right?! I was like dang…..Luke salty!
Totally agree, even though Grogu is much older than Luke, he's still a small child in terms of maturity! I think the writers wanted to draw a parallel between Luke abandoning his training to help his friends in Empire Strikes Back, and Grogu's decision to abandon the Jedi way to return to Din.
I lost track of how many times I cried/teared up/thought someone was dead in this episode. I loved it!! Love all your reactions!!
My only real complaint about this series is how the Tuskens were killed off camera with no payoff.
Their purpose was to change Boba to an honorable guy.
Favourite quote has to be “Let’s discuss our options.”
“.
.
.
I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold.”
its straight up cold now the backseat is taken
Think people didn’t really like this episode and are calling it mediocre because of the absolute perfection of episodes we got the previous two weeks. But still a solid finale. Just wish Cad was still alive and the robots really didn’t kill anyone
For me it was more due to the lack of dialogue surrounding the conclusion. Boba should of definitely been the one confronting the Pykes as his whole arc surrounded around the death of the raiders.
Skyman, you are dope as hell. I always love your just pure joy when you react to Star Wars stuff, man. Cheers mate.
I agree I had no idea how much I needed to see Boba ride a Rancor.
Whatever was on Cad Bane’s chest started beeping and flashing when he got stabbed. Is it possible he had some sort life support system? I mean he’s got the tubes that allow him to breathe in space and keep him from being force choked.
Maybe Boba knew this since they've known each other for a long time and also knew exactly where to stab.
Always love watching your reactions Skyman! From one true Star Wars fan to another, may the force be with you! Newly subscribed!
If BD came to say hello to Grogu while he was eating, it would have been the definition of cuteness overload
Those are classic Italian vespa scooters. They are iconic to anyone who lived in the 60-70s
My favourite quote from this episode : "The Rancor's on the loose!"
Season 2
THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT
Boba establishes a large new empire as he comes to learn of his sister, Omega. She enters the cockpit and dawns the Boba Fett helmet,
season ends.
i only recently started watching your channel but i've loved every video of yours i've seen. i am also a huge star wars fan and seeing your reactions to star wars always makes me so happy, thank you for the videos, i can't wait for more :)
ps. kenobi starts on my birthday so i'm looking forward to that reaction!
Whatever.
“Only a Sith deals in absolutes.”
That’s the new “daddy” in you coming out 😋🙂
I cant tell you how happy it makes me that others are as happy about Cad Bane as me.
Haha your face when they showed the Mod Surgeon over the bacta tank was very funny.
I'd say someone is safe while flying in hyperspace...so they were probably only out in open for space for maybe 10 minutes haha
Yeah I get that they made it that way so Luke doesn't get involved in the fight and made Boba's team way too OP but logic wise it didn't make sense to send him away like this like what else is more important than ensuring his safe return to him rn? lol
I assume he's gone the way of the traditional jedi forsaking attachments. Tattooine is filled with memories maybe that's why?
they really doing all they can to hold off on a luke and bobba reunion.
@@allycard doubt that'll happen. It isn't too necessary. We'll definitely see him in Ashoka tho. Looking forward to it. And Haydens Vader in Obi Wan
Your comment about emotions is fire. You are the only one who saw that. Bravo. I agree.
Now there is no question who is #1 in the galaxy
I agree there doesn't need to be another season of boba Fett
I knew people would be expecting Luke this episode. Almost too much seeing him in the last episode for so long. Glad we didn't get him though. Focus of the show needed to shift back to Boba
@No One dude also gave a legit reason as to why! You're thinking too much!
@No One he’s right tho?? This is Boba’s show, and having the focus shifted back to Boba was glorious 🤷♂️
You are a gentle and beautiful man. Much love from the US.
Now that your a dad, you understand the connection between Din Djarin and Grogu makes any father emotional. When Grogu leaves with Luke made me very emotional cause as a dad myself cause seeing your child leave is heartbreaking. I know you felt it when seeing that scene before your kid was born...but have you seen it after your beautiful baby was born? It hits you different. Love your reaction videos as well as your ASMR videos. Keep doing a great good job with your videos and God bless to you and your beautiful family!
For all the clones he killed... Denal finally you have been avenged for your older brother.
You know Cad Bane is cool, when he can whisper from 50 yards away, and everyone can still hear him. 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
I was wondering why I haven't seen this guy's vids more. It's because he only does star wars content. I respect that! Star wars was the first film I ever watched and owned. I think the nostalgia combined with forging the future of star wars is an unusually special thing. Especially since its being done fairly well.
For me the important thing is recognising that this is fucking amazing and appreciating every moment here and now. I don't wanna take it for granted and realise later how great this was.
I've seen enough of those mods and their bikes though tbh.
Tappin on the dome, and Mando caves.
Grogu is cuteness, to the twelfth power.
I just got done watching. I loved the episode. Amazing! 🤗🤗🤗
I was saying to myself that Vanth will probably have the same thing done as Fennec. Sure enough… I can’t wait to see him again!!!
Skyman out here acting like everyone that gets modded gets a free Vespa & a "not Star Wars music album" 😂😅
Cobb will be better than ever next time we see him. Thanks Thundercat 😊
Awesome reactions from you, dude. You really wear your emotions on your sleeve just like me. Can't wait to see more Star Wars reactions/reviews from you. Cheers
Unfair criticism online saying the episode was disappointing. I loved it great episode to finish the season. The last two episodes before were perfection so your always going to fill a slight come down.
I’m annoyed fennec and cad didn’t have much of interaction , she beat him in bad batch , so thought he woulda been firing at her or wish they had him kill her and that’s how he went out …
Fillonie loves the female characters he creates like fillonie literally invented time travel so ahsoka wouldn't die against vader and fillonie never killed ventress
She was going to die in season 8 but they cancelled the show
i get where you're coming from I think Boba offing Cad was def the right move, they have a much longer history with each other and have both always disliked each other so it works well i liked it better that way. Fennec was badass in her own right though, she eliminated all the traitors like it was nothing saw that scene and was like "ok shit you don't fuck with fennec"
@@dafade2254 Ashoka was never gonna die you literally the back of her head go through the triangle door at the end of rebels season 2 so just stfu she was never gonna die time travel was always gonna happen it didn’t come just to save her
@@flamebreaker7318 Rebels came out after Disney cancelled CW and forced Filoni to scrap all the work on the coming season so he could start working on Rebels meaning they could have planned for her to die before they changed COMPANIES and direction 😂
Oh boy i love your reactions!!! greeting from Mexico
One of my fav Star Wars reactors! Word is Dave and Jon said that they have big plans for Luke in the future they didn’t perfect his face to do away with him. I had big expectations and theory’s for this episode but it’s season 1. We need to wait for next season to really see what’s up.. if we get another season
I’ve been looking forward to this
This episode stakes felt weird.
I'm sure Dave and Jon can write new villains of the same calibre.
that's if he is dead...
Grogu jumping in Mandos arms made me cry being a dad
Damn, dude.
Thanks for another reaction.
See you when Kenobi happens.
R5-D4 recognized R2-D2!!
Love your reactions. New to the channel. Keep it going. Men cry to. Lovely.
It also feels like we needs a good celebration end scene for one of these shows.
the annihilator droids probably took up a big ol' chunk as well
Dude Luke woulda been too op and outshone everybody
@@flamebreaker7318 fr he was a jedi grandmaster at this point. He could have crushed both droids at once while fighting bane lmao
I believe Grogu took off on his own and R2 just came along to make sure he was okay.😆
*R.I.P. to those two unnamed Gamorreans*
After serving two ruthless crime lords they almost lived to see a new peaceful age of Tatooine.
As a "Star Wars" episode 8/10
As a "finale" episode 6/10
I got too hyped after the 11/10 back to back episodes we got from Bryce and Filoni. Was really expecting a Kenobi tease for the end credits too.
I feel like Rodriguez just doesn't know what he's doing with this show the three worst episodes were his
@@arctica3037 Just remember Filoni and Faverou still WROTE these episodes. I'm no fan of Rodriquez but all he did was direct the episode...
bet the super bowl will have our teaser
@@maizewindu.4827 I was thinking that too. Seeing that we didn't get it today...hopefully superbowl then. The only reason I'd watch the game hahah
Kenobi is set way before this
I already really enjoyed the episode, but wasn’t fully satisfied. But your reaction made me like it a bit more. Super fun season and finale. Nothing more, nothing less.
love your passion for star wars
I loved this episode. As much as I loved episode 6 with all the cameos, we needed a finale like this that was just rounding the series up and straight to the action, as well as setting the opening for Mando season 3.
Could it have been better? Sure, I think there's been better episodes than this one.
Cameos are great, but they can't keep throwing them in to every episode for fan service, or they'll just start to lose their appeal.
Hate that the two previous episodes were making the scope of the show bigger but then in the finale, the pikes aren't controlled by anyone bigger? No crimson dawn, no hutts? Felt off imo
@@maizewindu.4827 I could see that being part of season 2 to be fair
I keep thinking of the "mods" as the "Hot Topic Gang". You're right- the scooters are pretty silly looking.
First time I seen a full reaction from you gave only seen you in compilations and stuff … you won me when you said you hated those bikes
Maul died in Rebels. When they do it right …. I’m good. Thanks Bane.
Everyone just REALLY wants the old gang back together again…🙏 some day.
Love the channel. You’re the BEST! 👍🏼
When Boba plunged the spear into Cad Bane, I actually shouted out "NNNOOOOOOO" (because I wanted to see much more of him), it wasn't until after the battle was over I realized what I had done.... 😂😂😂
A jango fett series would be mind blowing, and would love to somehow see more young boba, could maybe give us the 1313 story in a series
